Hey everyone! Thanks for watching my Top 5 Favourite things about Arcadia! Did I get it right?? Let me know in the comments below :)
Hello Chris enjoyed your review, have sailed on Arcadia twice in the last 2 years 2018 Sydney to Brisbane leg on her 2018 World Cruise, Sydney to Singapore leg of her 2019 World Cruise and late this year will sail from Southampton to Norway for 12 day cruise. Arcadia is my favourite P& O ship.
Great video, and those Sydney city views from the ship really are remarkable!
I saw the Arcadia arriving in the river Tyne (Newcastle UK) yesterday. I always thought P&O ships had yellow funnels, so was surprised that she has a blue funnel.
Sailed on the maiden on Arcadia and have on her 3 times since.Lovely ship and some really nice public rooms.On the maiden we had cabin E 53 which had a better balcony than a lot of the suites,we had a table and chairs plus two sun loungers.Aslo because of the balcony size we held a lovely cabin party which spread onto the balcony.Subsequently we had the same cabin again in the Caribbean which was wonderful
Very nice review
Thanks to you putting this video together I have dodged a bullet. I was looking at the 99 day cruise Jan 2024, Not now!
I remember her being announced as Queen Victoria
Before that she was going to be a Holland America ship
We sailed on Arcadia in 2016, to the Norwegian Fjords. A quick summary of the good & bad points, as we found them -
What we liked:
* The central pool with its 'magrodome'
* The poolside grill that was open for lunch service
* The excellent 'Crow's Nest' bar
* Spacious and comfortable cabin (ours was a standard balcony)
* Superbly-appointed Main Theatre
What we disliked;
* The pokey cinema, too small for a ship of that size! You had to book seats in advance due to its tiny capacity.
* The indoor Costa coffee bar near the shops - it looked like an afterthought.
Having said that, we would certainly sail on her again.
As you said Mekydro the cinema was not good but I also disliked the outward opening doors onto the balconies. Bit difficult at times with the chairs in the way. All the other ships have sensible sliding doors.

Hi Chris
I took a cruise on the Arcadia in 1973 called The Cherry Blossom cruise from Sydney to Japan and back. I'm looking for more details about that cruise i.e. the exact date it left and returned. Do you know where I might be able to find the information?
@@gordonlamont10 Hey Gordon, late reply and I'm not Chris haha but I recommend just searching up "Arcadia prices (then where you want to go)" to find out when
4:09 I hope the gym is free, free to all
Were s the ship now
