    In Plovdiv, Bulgaria there is an amphitheater and a stadium. You showed pictures of both. The amphitheater is fully excavated and used for concerts and performances today where the stadium is under the city center and only the end is excavated. They want to reveal more but they’d have to dig up the main boulevard. Highly recommend going. There’s also an early Christian basilica and a medieval old town. Really cool place.

    Its called the Panathenaic Stadium, not the Panhellenic Stadium, which was related to the Panathenaea, a feast dedicated to godess Athena, and means"every+athenian".
