The timing of some of these radio snippets is a bit confusing. What it really went down like was the actual sound fragment > reply detailing a change in engine settings > overtake. The same probable goes for some of these Hamilton's Special lack of power laments.
it wasn't like that in real time tho , he got a message from that resolved the problem after that message and then he overtook

I have never seen anyone get excited commentating about Verstappen as Crofty does. Others are a bit too biased towards British drivers, even Crofty is but he does justice to the exciting moments at least. Others are just looking for Hamilton all the freaking time.

one of my favorite races I've seen, the overtakes combined with the commentary and atmosphere made Austria 2019 simply simply lovely.
What was really interesting in this race is that Mercedes struggled and suddenly all other teams showed a really good race

The first quarter of the race was almost entirely norris, raikkonen and gasly. I'd hardly call that top 6, more like battle for 6th
They also broadcast the Toro Rosso, Haas, and the Williams scrap at the back.

Paul Ricard has to be one of the most boring tracks on the planet, with barely any corners even featuring ripple strips & the stewards have to be on the lookout for drivers planting all 4 tyres outside certain designated areas - with the help of their bitch-arse "informant" Grosjean, of course!! I HATED last weekend's race, so sterile & incredibly dull...

hell, even Free Practice 2 in Austria was more exciting than that whole weekend French GP.
But really, for real racing action in France you have to be at Le Mans, everybody knows that..

It has been 20 years since Ferrari won at Austria for the first time, although it ended up becoming controversial because Rubens Barrichello led every lap, only to give up the win to Michael Schumacher before crossing the chequered flag... And it has been 3 years since Charles Leclerc was denied his 1st win by Max Verstappen at the same circuit!
@@madkhaliqfarhan we finally did it although it was very scary towards the end with Carlos' catastrophic engine failure and the throttle issues on Charles' car had my anxiety through the roof

And Ferrari won races in 2015 itself and got in terms with Mercedes by 2018 after alonso left too....
Alonso forces the teams to build the car around him, which makes him look good vs his teammate. But limits what the team could do when it comes to car development...
Alonso is terrible when it comes to car development.
McLarens recent success this year is further proof of that.

And after Alonso left Renault for Ferrari in 2010 which got rebadged as Lotus. In 2012 Lotus(Renault) turned into a proper front runner team with both drivers getting podiums and kimi even scoring a win....
So Alonso is a bad car developer remains true even in that case...
It seems Ferrari's curse why they couldn't win against a lower powered redbull is because they had to tailor make the car to suit Alonso....

Technically the only "race" of the season because it didn't feature an untouchable Mercedes for once. F1 needs NOT Mercedes if its going to survive.

Underdog of the day perhaps? I mean for 2 chasers F1 only really credited one unfortunately. I am a Red Bull fan but F1 gotta feature more mid field stuff cause it's often way more interesting there

Full respect to Verstappen for putting Honda back onto the top step of the podium still. This just proves that he is a driver with a lot of potential and Red Bull has a great car. And last but not least, big thanks to Honda for their efforts. Quite moved to see them getting back into the game
