I can't lie...I'm just watching this until my Spider-Man 2 game loads up. Switch games are the LAST THING on my mind
Thanks for this. You're a really important person to many of us and you're doing the things we dream of and sharing. Keep doing that 💛💙🧡
Thats cool!
at the end of the previous video you said ''bye, see you tomorrow'' in japanese. So I've been worried that something might happened in your life, since we didn't see you the day after.
Hope you're all good!
Love your Japan vlogs🍣🍜😻
How much did your trips cost for one cuz I want to go someday but idk if I can afford it
These videos are genuinely my favourite on YT. I love seeing how awesome Japan is. One day I'll go 😊
Yes! I want to go so badly! Some day. Some day
I would’ve asked to go for my birthday, but I didn’t bother because I have graduation pretty close to it
Yeah some day me and my dad will go
It's my life goal to visit
I wanna go, but remember, Japan does have the capability to not be awesome sometimes too
Part 2, let’s go!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
i like how hes using the journey across japan music in his japan vlog. im curious if he watches abroad in japan
The Japan vlogs are some of my most favorite videos
This was probably the most insightful video of Japan I've seen yet. Everybody does the whole touristy thing of Akihabra, Super Potato, Hard-Off/Book-off, etc., but I've never seen a video this deep into things that are NOT the typical touristy things. Very cool video. Also, superb editing on these two Japan vlog videos. Amazing job and thanks for sharing your experience with us!
So glad you enjoyed your time and spent it with friends is also even more special. Although you mentioned the return flight wasn't the best, you seemed much more relaxed throughout this trip. Sending digital hugs to the BeatEmUps Team! 😊
I truly don’t think he has any anxiety problems. Lol I have anxiety. I can’t even go to the shop, let alone Japan.
@@user-rt3ng6gz8wI have severe anxiety and I went to Hawaii- 9.5 hour flight. I even had some panic attacks leading up to and even one mid flight. Sometimes you need to just push through to do things. He also is probably being treated- meds didn’t work for me, unfortunately.

Been waiting for ages for this!!! Your Japan vlogs have been my fav
great video! and i’m glad you mentioned that it’s crazy exhausting because it totally is. how you managed to film so much is actually insane! i’d be dead tired. thanks for the content
I'm loving this series. I've been taking notes for my own trip. Thanks Wood!
How did you guys pack so much awesome into 19 minutes and 52 seconds?! 😮 That's my dream holiday right there ❤️
Your previous vlog going to Japan was one of my favorite video series . Now I’m pumped when I see new ones go live . Love this , Thankyou for sharing
Love not only the trip you´re sharing but also how well this video is edited! Amazing watch
I don’t know if it’s on purpose but it’s so nice you’re using the Abroad in Japan/Journey Across Japan theme song in these vlogs, it’s like two world I like colliding! Also can’t wait to see the next video because I need tips about where to get second hand games in Osaka, going there in a week.
Thanks for lugging all the gear and cameras around Wood! Glad I get to live vicariously through you. The MOMENT I realized I wanted to ultimately go to Japan was, as a child, playing Street Fighter 2, fighting E Honda. I've been obsessed with Japanese Culture ever since, and can't WAIT to be able to go one day.
Thank you SOOO much for sharing these vlogs! I hope to maybe visit Japan one day. It seems so amazing!
nice video, I enjoy them so much. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for my third Japan trip this coming winter.
Love the format for these travel vlogs. I cant wait to see more!
These videos are awesome. Some of the best content you’ve ever made (from a long time fan). Can’t wait for the next one.
Really enjoying the series and the love evident and put into it!
Yes part two love your videos man. Keep going man you’re doing good.
These are some the most wholesome videos on the channel!! Love it so much 😊
Loooving these videos Wood. Finding them really enjoyable, and weirdly relaxing. Cheers mate!
Hey Wood. No clue if you'll see this but it would be amazing if you or Bob can share your itinerary for the trip. I will Plan a trip next year and would lobe a base to start from.
9:50 This is the biggest highlight of the video. To be able to go Rain on the roof must have been one of the greatest moments of your trip. I reeeeeally envy you man.
Wood I discovered your channel around 2014 and have been a follower since then. I'm so happy for you that you are achieveing your goals :) I remember you mentioning something like "someday, I will go to Japan to buy a lot of 3DS games". And here you are, on your second trip buying Switch games. Keep on keeping on, dude! Much love from Spain
Yay I've been excited to see part 2 of this series
Wonderful. I felt like I was there. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this
Literally wake up every morning and checked for part 2 since the first one!!!!!! So excited 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks again Wood, going in November in these videos Truly do help. Much luv 🔥🤘🏾🖤!!!
Great videos man, keep up the amazing work! Your vlogs are the best. Hope I can make it out to Japan one day!
Sounds like you guys really had an awesome time. So glad 😊
these vlogs have been awesome. great work dude
love your vids man! keep it up. Makes me want to go to Japan even more. Time to plan a trip for 2024!! :D
Wood, awesome video. Love the vlogs. I just got back from my honeymoon in Japan and I think I just missed you! (1-5 Oct in Tokyo, 8-11 Oct in Kyoto/Osaka) Missing it already so I'm grateful to relive it again through these videos. But I realised you didn't buy any Switch games in this vlog despite the title lol 😅
Really enjoy your travel videos Wood. You should do more other than just gaming videos.
Amazing episode!!
So glad to see you go again. I originally came across your channel after looking up Japan videos in January of 2020. I was told new years eve going into 2020 that I would be going there for as a present for my 30th bday. We was due to go in the May but covid hit and wasn't able to go. Safe to say I still haven't been and I'm more jealous now seeing this video! Lol. Won't be going for a while now as have a baby so will be at least another few years before we even think about it
This and your first Japan series vlogs are by far my the best videos on my news feed.
It was a lovely trip, very enjoyable.
Thank you for coming to Japan.
We, too, will continue to study and do our best to serve and live in a way that will please everyone overseas.
Thank you.😮❤
Thank you for the Japan videos wood 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is one of my most favorite videos from you in a while. Can’t wait for the next part.
Wow. Great vlog. Thanks for sharing your experience. Very lucky guy.
These are great videos. Thanks so much for the hard work.
I’m so glad that you’ve been enjoying learning Japanese, but as another foreigner trying to learn it too, definitely recommend finding a class or something rather than relying on Duolingo alone as some of the pronunciation and context isn’t quite accurate (yet).
It’s all an experience and you’ve clearly been learning lots if you had good top of mind memory of the phrasing when out and about in Japan, so big well done on that!
Ayoooo! Part 2! Absolutely love these vlogs
I love this series so much!
When you have all the parts up I think you should make a marathon version where they’re all in a row :)
Awesomeness!! Just got home and about to fire up my Mario Wonder right now!! Hope I can go to Japan one day. It's been a lifelong dream of mine.
Wood I love these!!! To be honest they should be like 40 mins long each 😁 pretty please!
i remember the old japan vlogs like they were yesterday, crazy that was in 2019!
I know it's exhausting filming and might even take some of the fun out of the trip, but I really appreciate that you did! I want to go so bad, but it will be quite a while before I get to. Thank you, Wood! Thank you, Kim!
And yeah, okay, thanks, Bob. I guess.
Love these videos. Never know what you might see along the way. Also the cafe featured in Persona 5 looks very cozy, and chill. Love it
That train ride, and the atmosphere. Beautiful
The Nintendo hotel is fantastic
Love how you used the abroad in Japan CZcams channel music
Wow! Wood I can't believe you remember my recommendation to go to Rain on the Roof! I told you about it on your last stream before you left!
I just love the editing man
These are great. Defo makes me want to get to Japan more. Keep up the great work.
This is the expanded version of what you showed on the Nontendo Podcast, nice!
The Abroad in Japan theme tune is the cherry on top these beautiful videos!
Love these videos!! its amazing! can I ask you which hotel did you stay in Shinjuku? the view is great
(10:12) That area being the inspiration for an area in the Persona series (or one of the games) reminded me of Bluey as the title character's hometown in that TV series turned out to have been modelled after parts of Brisbane, in Australia, where Ludo Studio (who produce the series) is based, and some fans had put out videos and articles comparing the fictional locations to the real locations.
I imagined that a similar thing happened with the game series' development studio in which some of the development/design team members took inspiration from locations they were familiar with.
Yes! Another Japan video! I love these!
This is SO FREAKING COOL! AHHHH! FEEEELS! I love EVERYTHING about this! I'm cataloguing all the places you're going so I can go there, too, when I take my bro and his wife there someday! lol. Seeing all the yummy food and cool video game places is AWESOME! I'm actually getting teary-eyed watching this 'cause I want to go back so badly! lol. (How do you guys not get lost, though?? I had a Japanese friend to guide me last time. lol. Do your phones let you use Google Maps or smth? lol.)
I went in April with a group of friends and visited many of the same places. These videos and the Nontendo podcasts have been such a fun revisit to many of the things I saw and did and some that I missed. It's also wonderful to be able to share with loved ones who didn't come with. I'm glad you had a great time
From personal experience traveling to Japan, if you can afford it next time go for an entire month where you gradually travel down the island visiting all the different towns filled with culture and things to do. Nara is a great day trip to see the deer as well as going to Hiroshima to see the atomic dome and going on this full day biking marathon which is absolutely gorgeous. I would also recommend seeing more of the temples and shrines which are absolutely gorgeous (not just the really famous ones) and the palaces as well as going to an onsen.
Im actually planning on going to japan sometime next year definitely cant wait to go but trying learn Japanese very difficult
I got the isabelle statue when i went to that store. That entire floor had so much shopping.
Thanks for sharing! It has been a pleasure to watch these videos with my kids and hear them scream in excitement about Mario or Pikachu!
Excited for the next episode
LOL Kim "just leave that awkward transition"
My favorite part was the sweet deal on VITURE glasses you found in Akihabara. Truly a unicorn experience to find 120in of enjoyment at such a low price.
Absolutely loving these Japan videos. Did you see Metal Jesus Rocks when you were there???
I literally stayed at the Tokyo Hilton last month and had no clue the buffet was from Persona 5 !!! that's pretty awesome !! and I see you also took a bunch of smoothie shots like I did , so goooood 🤤
@8:33 “no whammies” 😂 i havent heard anyone reference The Whammy is years! It was my favorite game show🥰🤙🏽
Awsome vlog have a awsome day wood kim bob
that journey across Japan soundtrack is great
im in love with these vlogs man. ive been to japan already and im going again soon but dang. your vlogs are just.. pure bliss. i love to see how you view japan and what you do. youre just good vibes. glad you had fun
I love all of the Japan vlogs is really awesome to see more of Japan through your videos
Hopefully I go soon to Japan one day😃😃
I absolutely love your vlog style episodes Wood. There’s something so incredibly genuine about how you narrate them. They really seem to give a unique insight into you as a person as much as it does about the amazing places you travel to. I’ve loved following the Japan journey here and on the podcast. Thanks so much for sharing what looks to have been an incredible trip.
I lived in Japan for five years and I was in a little place called Sasebo. I would recommend checking it out if you want to experience the slower parts of japan. Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and Osaka are still pretty close if you want to see those as well.
Love the series!
Just watched Metal Jesus Rocks and came here immediately after. What a great sendoff for the weekend!
Japan is the best place I've ever been. This video convinced me to go again! Thanks mate
i always wanted to see a gaming tour of japan
and that persona 5 hotel just a cherry on top
loved it
I love Japan. I've been there once. Thank you for the video.
Why did this video get me teary-eyed. I wasn't on the trip and have never in Japan.
I love these so much!🖤
Vlogs are one of my favourite beatemups videos i feel like anything with a nintendo switch label or box wood would buy it
I just came back from Japan yesterday and did the countryside in Shikoku. I highly recommend it!
I loved the video, and I was wondering where you got your grey side bag/messanger bag? It seems pretty cool and i've been meaning to get a new one for a while now.
Amazing video!
Holy schnikes...😮...Meat🥩Lollipops, Nintendo🎮Heaven, walking the streets, Gashapon, Mudder Fookeru Hotel...🤯...How can it get any better❗️❓️❗️ I wanna go to Japan soooooo badly...🤘🏼💯✔️
I didn't grew up Nintendo but your videos are great. My cousin growing up had Sega and that was amazing going to his room when I was little and play it. We had Gameboy but I was not allowed to play cause my cousin said I would erase his Pokémon save file. I learned so much Nintendo stuff from your channel
Great blog brother 💯💯
Wow very cool to see you uploading a sequel to this video.
Omg cant Wait for next time😊
HIGHLY recommend the countryside of Japan. It's a completely different vibe than the cities and it ended up being my favourite in Japan. If you want to see the true countryside you will need to rent a car though but it's completely worth it.
Video games aside. Glad you all had fun on your visit! Its not all about the games.
man the frame rate of these vlogs is so comforting
We loved the mario party game as well. We found one in the mall with the big gundam statue.
