I LOOOOVE the advice I'm happy wasn't taken question.. I was given advice by my momma that was DONT take all advice given, use that gut instinct and learn to discern what is good and what is not so good. Well I took that bit of gold from my momma and have left nuggets others have tossed at me like it was gold and wasn't.

As we’d say in Dallas, “Your mother is so sweet, I could eat her up!” Carla, what I’d give to spend more time with my mom, rest her soul. She was soooo much fun! I have 3 adult kids (in their 30’s). I didn’t realize until I was in my 40’s that my mom figured out a seamless and flawless way to transition from being my mom to my very dearest friend. I’ve tried to figure out her secret… I guess I’ll know if I was successful when my kids get in their 40’s. One of her secrets, though, was not telling (the adult) me what to do all the time. She was so very wise… I always ended up asking her opinion or advice and, wouldn’t you know it, she was always right. It’s easy to continue to ask advice from a wise and kind woman.
