    Congratulations!👏😎👍 I have that same rig now for about 5 months now, and I love it! I have done some mayor upgrades to it. Including reverse front spring shackles, steel punisher drive shafts, reverse u bolts mounts for the leaf springs, also installed disk breaks in all four corners, for that scale realism! I also replaced the crappy body mounts, with the cchand quick release body mount. But I had to do mayor surgery to the inside tray to make it fit! But it works perfectly. Also put steel rock rails cchand. I painted the chrome grill insert with flat black, to make it look more realistic. Also lowered the spring rate a bit, and removed a few of the leaf springs so it can flex better through the rocks. And lastly! I added inside the back roll cage, a rc4wd hi lift jack! Also a driver to complete the realistic look. And boy does it look wayyy better now! Enjoy yours! You’re going to love it!👌😎👍ohhh I also forgot to mention that I replaced that stupid piece of steel shaft that runs from the transmission to the transfer case, with the short punisher shaft. Also the front release hubs for the realistic Aisin hubs. You’ll find all those upgrades on the rc4wd website.👍

    Looks great, bud! Yea, when I first got into the hobby I got a TF2 and made the mistake of not going through it first lol. It did fine for a while, but there definitely wasn't enough grease in the axles.

    Looks good man! Like you said none of this stuff comes perfect, because they do not have a quality control. But it can all be worked through. I bought one of these and the door wasn’t mounted right and would not close properly, so they sent me another one. And like you said their stuff is really scale .

      Yeah its just part of the RC4WD process. I really like their stuff. I have 4 of their rigs now. Thanks for the comment.

    I am moving to NYC and must sell my off roading rig, sadly. I want to get into RC. I know very little. If I want to get lockers, low gears, and bigger tires then is that possible? Do I need a welder, or may I simply solder?

    • @toeshifter
      @toeshifter  Před měsícem +2

      The sky is the limit in RC. You can do anything. Some rigs come with locking and unlocking diffs. Gear sets can be changed, motors changed. Tire sizes are plenty. It’s basically limitless

      @@toeshifter Thank you. Where do you suggest I begin learning? This is a whole new domain for me. I worked on my own truck so, conceptually, I know what I want but I’m sure this scene is totally different. Do you suggest a forum? Should I buy a RC4WD and experiment and learn the hard way?
