Your “ruthlessness” is why I trust you. Positivity as a concept has no place in reviews & consumer literary content. As the purchaser, I want the most critical (in the true sense of the word, not “negative”) reviews possible. I’m on a tight budget, I only buy a few high end products & my target price range for everything is unrealistically low. If a product costs over $10, I am doing research lol. I love channels like yours, when I do buy a higher end item, I feel confident I’m getting the best guidance for me. Positivity in reviews benefits the creator (financially, in the long run), honesty benefits your viewers financially. I know you do this as a hobby/service, and thank you for putting us first. I used to be heavily into the beauty space on CZcams, and as I've gotten a little bit older I've lost interest in all the people who focus on super energetic videos with lots of cuts and sounds and and and. I just don't have the patience for that kind of video anymore, which is why I've been loving your channel. Straight to the point with no sugar coating and no gratuitous product collection in the background. I have a feeling you're going to be the reason I get back into makeup, which really is a self-care activity for me 😃

We just moved into our new home. That was after spending over a year living with my father in law (he moved in with us). The house was being built and because of COVID they were behind by about 18mths. That's a long time in someone's basement. We get a ton of sunshine and that helps with my mood when I am in a flare. Yes to the CT lipliners!!! Loving the Moira eyeshadow, gorgeous! Thank you for being honest about the Tower28 lippies, I'm in love with the shade Ube Vanilla but heavy fragrance makes my lips peel horribly. For a house described as "needs some work" it looks beautiful!!! But I'm a Realtor, I know better than to judge by looks alone. But the exterior & kitchen look great!!!
I don't remember saying it needs work because it doesn't! It's a relatively new build, but because it's SO small, we have to do some work to solve the challenges of the small space. The yard is also wild, unlandscaped, and not fenced in. So those are the projects we're working on!

The glow and hydration that they give me , and wear beautifully throughout the day here in Palm Beach ,Florida is perfection 👌!! And I’ve often mentioned that what may not work for one demographic can work flawlessly for another 💁♀️😍👍!!!
Totally. I just mean that you don’t *need* to buy a separate product, since you can make a tinted moisturizer using a foundation if you didn’t want to have to buy multiple products.

I think I discovered you earlier this week and Ive seen a few more of your videos since, and honestly, you're becoming one of my favourites. You're so well spoken with a calm voice. One of my main issues (due to audio processing and the like) is the LOUD way some talk on camera.

Finding honest reviews like yours is rare. I appreciate you calling out the menthol strength in lip products. I live in the Midwest, so it’s cold basically half the year, and I don’t want to get a lip product that I can’t use for half of its shelf life. Paying attention to sensory issues like that is very important.

The blush stain goes on really well with the miniature stippling brush from Wet n Wild off Amazon it's like only a dollar or two so it doesn't matter if you ruin the brush lol... but I like the sort of stipple where I want the blush, and then to blend it a bit with a blender ASAP, super fast before it sets!
My face also eats cream blushes so I really like these

I think the summer Fridays lip oils are really nice! Not my favorite, but they have a nice gel-like quality it y for a lip oil while still remaining lightweight. Not life changing though

Thank you! They're a water stain so they will not add any hydration or moisture to the lips, you'll want to add a balm or gloss on top. They are lovely as lip stains, incredibly long-wearing. I've shown them a bunch on my lips on IG stories.

Thank you. Your videos are unique due to your personality, vocabulary (I HATE the clichés make up lingo that most use), astute and honest critiques. I rely on you to be ruthless (someone below used this word - perfect!). I have way too many foundations in my collection, including Armani and Dior (my expensive faves) and L'Oréal Pro Glow (all-time drugstore fave). The Missha and Erborian BB creams are wonderful in the summer, though. Anyway, keep sharing and being original - lots of fun!

Make Up Forever really does me dirty with the fragrance. A memorably cringe purchase for me was when I impulse bought a mini of their redness correcting primer. I had glanced at the ingredient list but somehow missed the fragrance. I didn’t miss it when the scent smacked me in the face as soon as I squeezed the product out of the tube though 😭. It smelled heavily perfumed. My bad for not more carefully scanning the ingredient list before buying, but that product made me mad. How are you gonna make a redness corrector with an ingredient known to aggravate redness lol. As someone with rosacea, that really disappointed me.
Unfortunately I will be passing on their new foundation due to the added fragrance as well. 😔

I love your initial video cover photos so much! The ones with products around you. It sometimes makes it easier to find a specific video about a product you had talked about and also makes the video more clickable and enticing. I much prefer it over the ones you’ve chosen recently. And I don’t think I’m the only one.
That’s actually incorrect! I run an AB Test software and all the thumbnails you see on my channel currently are the best performing ones. The minimal designs have gotten significantly more clicks, it’s very fascinating to see the data. The thumbnails with all the products around me generally are the #3 best performing thumbnail.
Ugh I feel ya on the fragrance! I adore my Chanel ultra le teint foundation but it has fragrance. I'll def need to try Armani!
I'm also looking to try the Thrive Causemetics cc cream since their other makeup is so great. I just tried their stick blush and it's soooo good.
I’m so jealous of everyone loving the new MUFE foundation! It didn’t look great on me (normal to dry, redness, acne, some texture) and wore poorly, but I wanted to love it so badly.

I have to say I almost never watch videos this long all the way through but I was totally all in on this one Kait! And your declutter was brutal to the point of me going “no!!!! Just keep them BOTH or ALL! Forget the ‘only 20’ count!” to some things 😂 really interesting, really informative and loved all the swatches! I think you look good in all of it seriously. (I say keep all 4 CT products including the red lipstick 😋)

I agree about the CT pink lipstick. It just doesn’t feel very you, or something you’d reach for although it’s pretty on you! I’m dying to see you in the CT lippie I grabbed though!

Oh I’m a total neat freak, I’m trying to learn how to live with some clutter in a small house and it’s extremely stressful for me 😅
It’s definitely challenging to have less space, but seems like you’re on the right path with not buying backups of things, getting to know yourself and your preferences. I feel ya! We’re 4 people in an apartment I used to consider big, it seems we’re just growing out of it! But the thing is, I just think we have too much stuff, know what I mean? So at least when it comes to backups, I try to think «store it at the store»😂 But I’m not good at it. It’s a journey, definitely!
I’m so with you on the “clean” and scents - essential oil, natural, or otherwise. I can’t wear any Kosas because of their scent.
I love the Makeup Forever foundation but never noticed a scent!

Also buying the Glaze from Make Beauty! I’ve never even heard of that company. One of my fav one and done is the Dior mono in tulle- this will look gorgeous over it!! 🎉
I did like the new Haus Labs lip glaze but I feel like I have SO many formulas like it, I wouldn't ever reach for it over my thicker glossy balms.
