There were more than just the one snake in that stack. Had two make there way over to the concrete plant in a week same time you moved it. They got the same treatment.

We just bought a new 60' planter that is computer controlled so it can shut down individual seed buckets. I can go clear down to planting one row if necessary hope it never is. We figured the amount of seed that it will save will pay for it in about 3 to 5 years.

Yea its a five shot shoots 45 or 410 it is older then the know judge and was made buy the thunder five company hence the name . if you watch the movie 3 kings there is one in that movie .. We shoot the shoot gun shell's great for snakes also when you see a bird and don't have a full length shot gun on you during bird season .

I'm glad you get $10.50 a bale. If I had to pay that, I would be done with animals.
CourtnRob I agree. But if that was the most we got, we’d go broke! The highest is $13.50 and the lowest is $5.00 to $6.00. With our overhead and minimum wage, we have to be about $10.00.

Pound for pound that’s cheap in this part of the country
In western new york we get about 3$ for a 2 string 40lb square bale if it is nice small steamed high quality hay. If it is late first cutting that that has course stems you can only get 1.50$ to 2$ and 4x4 500lb round bales go for 20$-30$ . Nobody runs those 3 string bales in this part of the country

THE HAY TEAM TV it’s difficult to say. However, every year we sale a little more hay. There could get to a point we level out.

I’d take on a rattlesnake with a shovel, I would never, ever take on an Eastern Brown snake with a shovel.

You should not have killed the snake! It’s was keeping the rat population down that are in your hay!
I would have thought your dad and grandpa would have taught you better than to kill them!? The rattlesnake warns you which is why you want them. The copperheads doesn’t warn you that there there…
I caught a black snake just to put in our barn to keep the rats down! She was about two feet long when I saved her. Several years later she was a huge snake that was well over six feet long. I grew up in a old farm house and she spent the winters in the attic of my home where I released her… Mom sent my wife to get something from unfinished room in the attic. When me wife saw her skin hanging on a nail. She had a fit to say the least! I asked my wife would she rather have rat’s or mice in the attic or the harmless snake?
Your land, your call! If I were you, I would much rather buy snake boots for my employees that I can then write off of my taxes than have my hay full of rats eating the the nutritional benefits, the strings, and cutting my bales!
