    Pardon the gloves (covering scratches from yard work)
    My 1.0 setup of a chest rig for hiking and camping to keep all the essentials close at hand, basically: Level 1 gear, chest mounted.

    This is closer to how I fill mine up but I replace all the fire starting/nav/signaling gear/tools with tobacco products, condoms, and disposable lighters

    Great setup! I dig that holster in there. Since I don't have one I never carry a striker gun in my Kit Bag, just go with my HK P30S or HK USPf9 since they have safety levers.

    Dan,
    You may have created and filmed this several years ago, but it’s value is still relevant. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
    I can tell you spent a great deal of time re: the physical size of your items and their fit inside. Great job!
    You mentioned that you later transitioned to a smaller pack by the same company. I would be interested in your impressions and your decision to change. What made pack #2 a better choice? We always hear that bigger is better.
    Thanks much.

      Thanks! For me it became more pressure on the chest than desired. Smaller meant less stuff lol. I went with HPG’s snubby kit bag v2.

    Could you please find out if you. Fit a holster with clips in the back compartment? I’m ordered a custom holster with Velcro backing and with clips and all it’s about 2” in in width at its widest point with clips. Want to see if it’s manageable to fit it in that back compartment. If not how much extra width do you think it it would need. The reason I ask is I’m going to order a custom build version of this bag from another seller. So I’m trying to see what’s the smallest size I get that back compartment to be to fit my holster set up. Please help can’t find any info online about a holster fitting in back with clips.

    Hi, great review!
    How did you attache the foodsaver bag the webbing?
    Thanks

      Hi. I used adhesive hook velcro on the foodsaver. The backing on the rig is a tight loop velcro. Anything hook style will cling to it.

    Very nice review, sir! I love the Hill people products. Off topic but, what gloves are those that you're wearing in this video? they look fairly decent for winter outdoor activities?

    • @danpass12
      @danpass12  Před 7 lety

      Hello, thanks. The gloves covering the many scratches I had at the time, lol, are just military pilot gloves. They don't have any insulation. They're great for camping to keep your hands clean and avoid scrapes and cuts.

    Thanks for sharing. Is that the ranger green or manatee gray colour of the bag? Hard to tell from the lighting but it looks great.

      No man... Look at all the sharp objects he was handling... knife, multitool, etc.

    How’s the bag holding up?

    • @danpass12
      @danpass12  Před 4 lety +2

      Frank it held up fine though I sold it and got a smaller version from HPG, v2 of their Snubby Kit bag. Large enough to hold a G19/G29 plus many of the goodies shown here.

    It would be nice if this video focused more on reviewing the pack and less on reviewing each item in the pack. The items in the pack are interesting, but I came here to learn about the pack and it seems like you spent 90% of the video talking about everything else.
