Hey Julian!
Thanks for reviewing some of our menu at September and sharing thoughts with your audience. As a new roaster in Canada, it means the world.
It’s been interesting to see which coffees you favoured of these three. We’ve really enjoyed watching over the past few days!
This Castillo changing with time makes sense as it likely opened up after our roast date, allowing some of its red fruit elements and characteristics to shine. An obsession for many.
We find Diego’s Geisha’s are fantastic for offering higher clarity while still attributing this level of sweetness and we’re excited to feature them in the near future (beyond the koji El Paraiso geisha Pink Bourbon we just released).
All the best, and continue creating amazing content. We’ll be watching!
Thank you for your words and best wishes to you and Natasha on this new venture!
As a new roaster, you've already had an amazing start and differentiated yourself in many ways from other Canadian roasters. We know things will only get better. You've achieved so much and we're looking forward to seeing what you do from here. Cheers ☕️☂️
Thermal Shock Washed Colombia Diego Bermudez - Surprisingly can taste Lychee and its sweetness in the cup. Not Lie!! Trustable "September" products. SUPER love this coffee bean and Will keep trying their products 👍
September are great and we look forward to reviewing more of their coffee 😊
Oh man! I was just looking to get these yesterday!
It's too bad only one is left, that's the seasonality of coffee but hopefully it gives you some insight into them
I got this coffee from September and used the Lagom grinder.
and aeropress and definitely detect lychee and sweetness.
Definitely a lot of sweetness on this one. Appreciate the feedback on it 🙂
@@CoffeeReviews but it was grind dependent.
He’s gonna run it through the chemex! Level 4 cleanness, surely!!
“…it seems to have accentuated a lot of the heavier components in this one…”
RIP
This made my day 😂😂
Pretty sure I had this coffee as roasted by MOK last week in Brussels. They brewed on an Orea with Sibarist filters, so med fine grind and super fast draw-down. It blew me away! The cleanliness was surprising (and actually I’m guessing they were pretty far off-roast as they only had a couple wholesale bags left). Definitely got a similar taste profile, BUT I suspect their version was a little lighter in body to this, there wasn’t so much caramel candy, and as it cooled it had some noticeable florality. Also, I’d describe the fruit note up-front to be much more like dried peach/dried mango.
Diego, done well, is a very special coffee. Sounds like you had a great representation of it. Heard it's tricky to roast but has very high potential. Glad to hear your experience was very positive 🙂
Thanks for your impression. Your mic sounds buzzy by the way.
Thanks for the heads-up, didn't catch that in the editing. Was it throughout or just at a specific period during the video? (Have unfortunately had this issue before and it's often a connectivity thing)
@@CoffeeReviews I am able to hear the faint noise each time you speak into the mic. I am wearing earbuds by the way.
@moshter11 ah, the mic is overly sensitive. A new one is also in the pipeline with a new camera so we're hoping it might correct some of the sensitivity issues in the future. Appreciate the heads-up 👍
V60 switch I recommend
Ever since we opted not to continue with the aeropress due to brew size restrictions, we've lacked an immersion brewer in our reviews. Might be something we float by here in the near future
@@CoffeeReviews u should consider the new aeropress xl! Apparently it works mostly similar to the og aeropress brew-wise but the larger capacity could alleviate that concern on yall’s end.
@ishanparikh5587 was very curious about it when it was first released. It sounded like the solution to our issue but people voiced a few concerns upon its release. If it was as good as the original, then it's probably our top choice for an immersion brewer
This is the lot that Diego sells as Lychee
Which makes a lot of sense. Between "Lychee" and "Red Plum" always had a preference for Red Plum
