  • Today we're heading out to Montréal to experience the annual Fête des neiges at Parc Jean-Drapeau, just one of the many festivals and activities that Montréal has to offer this year. They sure know how to make the most of winter!

Great video! I LOVE winter. And beaver tails. And tire. Thanks for showcasing the good side of winter :) A lot of people here have been very negative (with the 102cm of snow that fell in the last week), so it's refreshing to hear very positive things.

Growing up in Ottawa, right on the Quebec border I forget how different some of these traditions are! This was just a video of every winter of my childhood!
Definitely happy I live in Toronto now though, so much less snow

Ironing ice... It makes sense, but wow, I feel like I've seen everything now.
Also this was fun, and made me miss the fun I had in winter in Norway as a child (though then I remember the inconvenience and am glad I don't experience it now).

And just South East of that, you can enjoy Snowbank, Canada. Otherwise known as New Brunswick in the summer xD
Quebec always has the most interesting winter festivities ^^ but since I hate all things winter, I'll just enjoy via vlogs xD

Wait, you hadn't had any 'tire sur neige' before? REALLY? We used to go on school trips to sugar shacks all the time and they'd have it. You just wait for a bit for the syrup to harden, and then roll it. :D
    Soooooooo good.
Edit: I've also made it at home before, too. I didn't have snow, so I used crushed/shaved ice. You just need to boil maple syrup up to a certain temperature.
