I had a very interesting journey back to the US from Australia. I was meant to leave Sydney at 11.15 am and be at my house in Arkansas by 1.00 pm the same day. However, we didn't actually leave Sydney until after 2.00 pm, I missed my connection in LAX and didn't get home until after 8.00 pm. However, it was a great trip as I slept for 10 hrs and woke up for breakfast and landing.

While I would never complain about a video with beautiful take off and landing shots I would have liked to see more on the seat etc. I did this flight in premium econ and really want to step up to Biz.

Nice video but not much of a flight review from the service perspective. Almost 25 minutes of the same song drove me to skip most of it.

what a shame you slept most of the way to L.A. - i was curious what the food /meals were like in First Class. A friend of mine is leaving Melbournd to L.A today First Class, I wanted to see what yum food she was going to get. lol Im jealous

Is that the Qantas first or business class lounge? Or is it an AA lounge in Sydney?
Qantas First class lounge in SYD. No AA lounge in SYD.
Were you allowed in because of your flyer status? Or is any business class AA customer allowed in? I ask because I note that AA does not have first and I am flying that route in business class in September, I was hoping to use the Qantas first lounge but do not think they will let me in due to the business class seat. I would just use the business class lounge one floor below.
I'm Oneworld Emerald and access only to top tiers Oneworld or QF First passengers. There is a qantas business lounge but I'm not sure how it is. When are you flying it...I'm doing it again Sept 15.
I wish AA gave pjs to Business class to Europe. It’s 9 hours from DFW. Enjoyed this video. Beautiful lounge.
I completely agree. Apparently they only do it 12+ hrs flight time. I think only HKG, SYD and AKL. Thanks for watching!

Correct, they changed a couple months back and the new brand isn't as good in my opinion.

I'm assuming you have never flown that route. You arrive in lax at 6am so you need to sleep. This wasn't my first time flying business class 😁

How was the lay flat bed? Was it comfy?
Very comfortable. For the flight over 12 hrs, they provide a mattress pad. Usually only Asia and Pacific, not Europe (unless first class on the 777-300er).
