He can hear things from far distances, such as things from different planets, different galaxies, etc. That's why when he hears something loud (like Gohan's whistling or Vegeta screaming), he gets angry because his ears hurt from hearing something so loud.
I remember this being my first exposer to TFS...from DSI Flipnote of all things, someone had used this audio with their OC characters, and honestly through the cruncy audio bites, i barely knew what they were saying
