Feast on The Bronze Collection, Joseph Bertolozzi's solo percussion project for gongs, cymbals and drums. This live performance by the composer is from The Howland Center in Beacon , NY in 2004.
"The Lighthouse of Alexandria" is the final movement from "The Seven Wonders of the World" a suite evocative of the seven legendary landmarks of the ancient world. Each movement comes with a subtitle. This one's is:
"Its great fire and mysterious mirror, shining 35 miles out to sea flickered for 1,300 years in our imaginations."
