The ADATS is able to engage up to 90 degrees up, yet gaijin won't fix it despite numerous bug reports with real documents to prove it
Meanwhile all T-34s with a 4 gear transmission can shift into top gear despite plenty of documentation to prove it was physically impossible to do so, the T-80 being almost 15km/h faster than it should be and capable of firing a round it actually can't, and well... yeah, they're oddly selective over which documents to follow.
@@MacMeaties I don't know why, from a business perspective there is no reason to make Russian vehicles better than others. It doesn't make them more money, I really don't know why they do it.
ADATS does have a 90° gun elevation, at least the canadian one. The Problem with the US one is that the main gun of that thing is the 25mm gun, not the missile. So the missile is basically limited on how high the gun can raise up

Just so everyone knows: you can use binoculars to track things that are straight up, after you lock on you can mouse guide the missiles above your head in 3rd person. Just aim for the middle of the green box. That’s how you fire straight up with an Adats. Also useful if your turret ring is out, you can still guide missiles.

You really don't have to wait until the enemy is within 10km. The enemy might be at 10-13km range when you fire, but by the time the rocket travels even half the distance he will already be within 10km.
Also, you don't have to use your radar, you can just turn it off and use thermal lock. It's harder to find targets, but this way the planes won't know you are targetting them. Won't work with helicopters tho, the have laser beam detector.
ADATS lock doesn't trigger planes RWR because it is not a radar lock, it is optical :)
@@Hunter_i86 I think in the game it still triggers RWR if your ADAT's radar is on. Because every time I lock the planes they start dropping flares. They do not do that when the radar is off.

@@harryshuman9637they’ll only get search pings. They flare because they are paying attention, and see the smoke of the missile, but they don’t seem to realize that at such a BR, no SAM can be countermeasured.

Honestly I feel this and the US bradley version are the best AA in the game, even with Pantsir and Tor in game. The tgt tracking is just so superior. Plus you get the bonus of a VERY capable AT missile if that is how you want to use it. I tend to 2nd spawn this and its rare that I dont fully expend the ammo rack without a miss, thats usually a combination of air and ground targets. more often than not having a better AA game than ground... Though that tends to be due to the amount of low skill heli spam at this BR!
Its great as long as a ka50 doesnt see you as it can spam vikhrs to trigger your proxy and make you die from sheer spam.

1 advantage the U.S Adats has over the U.K Adats, is its ability to defend against light vehicles.

Yeah but UK ADATS has 85 degrees of gunner sight elevation! which is great against MiG-27s diving from high dive angles.

Ka-50/52 players are just about the easiest to kill, if they're in range. And if they haven't already flung 3 Vihkers at you.

ADATS wants to know your Location
Anybody else notice the energy loss on the ADATS compared to other AA’s? I have issues with the ADATS being able to hit high elevation targets if they’re moving at all, like if they are above like 4km altitude and moving perpendicular to me, the missile will just lose energy and start falling behind or dropping down, when every other top tier aa doesn’t seem to have this issue

New E chally is better because it is more mobile and fits the call of duty maps gameplay better.
@@Red_Lion2000 black night is also mobile, and has laser warning system with the trophy system that protects against heli missles and atgms which is the most common form of death late game

@@night7185 You might want to turn off DLSS and put antialiasing on TAA .. also I use film color correction on postfx settings but it is just a filter ..
