TIMESTAMP
00:00 INTRO
00:56 5. DRL Simulator
03:24 4. TRYP FPV
05:49 3. Liftoff Simulator
08:47 2. Uncrashed FPV
11:10 1. VelociDrone
15:02 Special Mention: Liftoff Micro Drones - Zábava
If you don't know, TRYP FPV got a MASSIVE UPDATE that changed the entire simulator, so also probably its ranking in this video. I'll probably place TRYP FPV around the first place for now in a close fight with VelociDrone. It has so much better physics, it's just insane!!! Here's a video to help you understand it better: czcams.com/video/u_ZWCDIwPsk/video.html
Truly a hidden gem! Subscribed! (ur English is hard to understand sometimes though)
Hi. Thank you, I really appreciate it.
I know my spoken English is not that great. In fact, I’m more like this only in front of the camera. Always nervous 😬
Great overview! Thank you!
Thank you.
I really appreciate it!
Thank you for great reviews!
Thank you as well for watching the video!
You can pick up DRL for really cheap, it goes on sale all the time. But if you do you should just go into Freestyle mode and follow along with a CZcams series that teaches you how to fly. You can still follow along and train the concepts even if they use a different similator.
The tutorials were extremely rigid, and being reset every 4 seconds for the slightest mistake without learning correction or recovery was counterproductive. I started learning much faster once I got off those tutorials.
For a beginner, indeed DRL is decent to start learning FPV on freestyle/free flight maps;
But it won’t be as accurate as the other ones mentioned here.
However, good point with the tutorials
Grate i was looking for a good sim on pc
Got tired using the phone for flight sim
Thanks for sharing
Glad I could help
I'd pretty much agree with your choices, a worthy addition would be the free FPV.Skydive but also to add the the DJI FPV drone is included in the Velocidrone Freestyle add on.
Thank you!
Yes, I was thinking about the FPV SkyDive and surely is on my list, but I'll aim to add on a "Top FREE FPV Simulators" similar video; because it's free, it can't compete with the triple A simulators in terms of physics, drone management and content, but as a free simulator, is in fact, on my top list.
I have the VelociDrone Freestyle Addon. I didn't know the DJI FPV is there. Is it? Didn't notice
@@fpvcraft It's listed under the 5" quads as "DGI".
very helpful video
Thank you! I appreciate it!!
Great content. Have a 100hrs in liftoff, and still cannot do turns and gates properly :) as you say the floaty gravity. Will try uncrashed when it has a steam sale
I also feel that Uncrashed is much more fluid when training in there. I simply love that simulator, but would also love to see some multiplayer mode.
Hi, I am using my PlayStation 5 remote in Uncrashed, would it be easier and better if I used a real RC Remote?
@@user-mz9gu6bd4z absolutly!!! ps5 controller is really bad for fpv drones cause the left stick has a auto center, you want the throttle without auto center.
have a look at the radiomaster pocket or even better the radiomaster boxer
Nice video, i have most of these sims and they all have their pros and cons, the best would be a combination of TRYP and Uncrashed.
At this time, I can’t agree more with you, especially since latest TRYP Update.
In fact, I’m working on another video TRYP FPV vs. Uncrashed. It’s a challenge to compare them as they are both top tier
@@fpvcraft TRYP maps and audio in Uncrashed would be sweet! something about the smokey motion blur visuals of uncrashed make it sick.
Nice Video, what about using a Radio like yours on a 2020 iMac?!?! I can not find infos in the web. Can you help me?!
Hi Alex,
It’s all possible to use both the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 and the Horus X10S Express on an older Mac computer.
I had used both of them a while back on my older 2019 MacBook Air, and now with my M2 MacBook Air
There shouldn’t be an issue to use on a 2020 iMac. Is the latest MacOS version?
The only thing to keep in mind is the weird cable requirement for Mac connectivity if you’re using the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2.
I wrote an article about that if you’re interested
fpvcraft.com/how-to-connect-dji-fpv-remote-controller-2-to-mac/
Other than that, I almost guarantee full compatibility of both controllers with an 2020 iMac and to practice in simulators
I watched the whole video, enjoyed all of it and will probably make a purchase based on this list. but when you mentioned the sponsored segment I almost automatically clicked away from the video lol
Hehe, I do think a few people managed to click away there :)
Thank you for watching the video.
Since I also make it, TRYP FPV had a major update and now is worth considering as well.
Are you able to share some of the main settings you use for Uncrashed on say a 5" drone for example (weight, motors, gravity air drag and those sort of things). I just bought the game, and even though Ive increased the gravity and tried a few settings, it seems rather floaty. Thanks!
Hello. I really apologise; for some reason, this comment didn’t show up. I guess it was filtered.😓
With all these updates, I think my old Uncrashed configuration reset. I will need to make again some minor adjustments and see how I can improve it, and I will get back to you. Maybe I will even make a video.
Once more I apologise for taking so long to respond.
@@fpvcraft no worries. Havent played uncrashed much since i posted this. Couldnt get the feeling right on the settings so been playing a bit more of fpv logic.
Yes a video would be great : )
I dont personally own or have flown a real drone, so im basing my experience just on feeling. So i may be wrong with my assesment of floatiness in uncrashed.
дякую! корисне відео!
I would love to fly one of the sims ...but will it work with the RC2 that comes with the DJi 4 Mini pro?
Hi there,
Most probably, it won't work. The standard drone remote controllers, such as DJI RC, RC-N1, RC2, N2, and RC Pro, are not meant to be used with FPV simulators.
The idea behind an FPV remote controller is that the throttle tension is eliminated, so the throttle gimbal does not get centered and remains in the same position.
Even if you're able to connect it to a simulator that made the RC2 compatible, you'll not fully benefit from the simulator because of how the throttle reacts/returns to the center axis.
But for some reason, Xbox and PlayStation controllers that act the same are fully compatible with all these 5 simulators.
I have all of them, bt the only ones I use in the end are Velocidrone and DCL.
I also use the most VelociDrone and Uncrashed.
Velocidrone all day! Why would I choose worse physics?!
Velocidrone has "level" maps to learn racing fast and "velocidrone flight training" a big playlist with tutorials on youtube
Yup.
That’s why it’s my favourite, I called number 1 on the list and I always recommend it though.
You should give AI Drone Sim a go. By far the best physics in my opinion
I put it on my list and I’ll give it a go.
Thanks for the mention.
#1 Uncrashed FPV simulator - Best
#2 FPVSIM + Google Earth API
#3 BeamNG FPV Sim mod
#4 AI Drone Simulator
#5 Velocidrone
#6 Liftoff
#7 Tryp
#8 GTA mod
#9 DRL
#10 Orca
#11 FPV Skydive
#12 CurryKitten
Do any of these simulator have tutorials on how to do tricks?
Not as far as I know; they do offer like a beginner’s guide tutorial to learn the basics and maybe some basic flips (never used any tutorials to learn FPV). But I really doubt they have freestyle tutorials.
You better find this content on CZcams
No but Lift off in Freestyle mode will at least tell you once you've completed one, if you're after trick tutorials you can't go wrong with the @headmazta CZcams channel
Thanks!
Glad to help!
😀🤙
What are the specs of the computer you're running these on, please?
It was from a laptop i7 gen 9th, 32gb RAM and 1660ti 6GB video card. But the laptop is end-life, as I’ve used it for a long time to crypto mining, it has very reduced performance; with this config, you should run these sims even better.
@@fpvcraft Thank you for replying! I currently have a 12th gen i5 with only onboard graphics which I've seen is unsupported by Liftoff at least. Guess I'll have to wait till I can afford a gfx card lol
Have you tried Zephyr?
No, not yet. Still missing a few FPV simulators but it’s on plan to get it.
Have you tried fpv logic?
Hi. I didn’t tried yet but have done some researches on it and it looks promising. I didn’t wanted to include it on the list as yet is still in early access, barely released, and I would like to give it a real chance for a proper review without the early access bugs, which I’m confident they are all being solved.
But thank you for reminding me of FPV Logic. I think it would be on my to-do list to purchase, try it, maybe share some content; I will see.
i also tried all the sims available. fpv logic is really good. I would say its number 2 after velocidrone. slighlty better than uncrashed
I would definitely have to focus on it more.
Thanks a lot for sharing your insight. I will acquire it next and practice on it as much as possible.
ooo, thanks. didn't know that one existed. just bought it.
Nobody does liftoff justice!!! Its 10 time better looking if you have correct graphic settings!!!
you make alot of ts mts sounds real hard to listen to you
Sorry about that. It wasn’t intentional, just my microphone. Thank you for the feedback; I will try my best to improve my audio
Just get a 3 inch and bypass the $3000 for the computer enjoy flying
True, couldn't be more true. The idea is to start flying ASAP. But some people may already have high-end computers (gamers).
@fpvcraft right but if your on a fixed income like myself it's not that easy. It took my 5 years to get everything I needed and I'm still adding more. I've learned never go cheap cause in the end you'll end up buying the expensive one later.
Again, I agree with you.
Getting into the hobby, it can be pricey. Not to mention, there has to be a monthly allocated budget for repairs, upgrades, new lipos, etc.
But i only want to sim flying and don't want more physical toys, so no. I'll ignore your advice and take advantage of fpvcraft's excellent resource, thanks.
then spend $4000 in repairs! 🤣
nice video man!
