Illusionist Dan White Freaks Jimmy Out with a Telepathy Card Trick
/ fallontonight - Komedie
6:15 so that's jimmy's real laugh..
probably the first time anyone's heard it on the show
there's no laugh at 6:15 lol
it's good lol
pretty scary stuff
Jimmy: "Why that guy?"
Magician: *Awkwardly laughs and continues walking*
Sus
- ok sir what's your name?
- Don White
- Ok you take that envelop. Love your jacket.
Why does he give the envelope to his twin brother? 😂
Flex Luthor hah damn son you should get an emmy for this comment! 😂😂😂
no kidding--they definitely went to the same place to get their hair cut..lol.still....who doesn't enjoy a bit of "magic"
Right
Yo! He looks like some guy On a vice video. Suppose to be an owner of an exotic rental shop. ... or Is he..lol check it out or am I trippin?
czcams.com/video/OXmKyzvF7BI/video.html
😂😂😂😂😂 for real 👌
Impressive, but he isn't swallowing frogs like David Blaine.
Jeremy true
Jeremy true dat
Swallowing frogs is just regurgitation. David Blaine actually talked about how he learned it in his breathing fire trick reveal.
He should have barfed his card
He doesn't fail like David Blaine either lol
Of course the magician would pick the guy who practically looks just like him to hold the envelope.
Noticed the same xD
noticed that too.
that's what I was thinking. I think this was set up
Exactly what I was thinking! Hahah
lol I said the same thing smh
It really bugged me when he didn't close the marker!
I thought I was the only one haha
+Chris Pratt imagine how it would stink lol
No one cares.
OMG Me too. I thought i was the only one. I was just staring at it for a while.
PUT THE FRIGGIN CAP ON THE MARKER, JIMMY!!!! #youcaplesswonder
I was hoping he had cleverly hidden a spicy burrito in that envelope...
Same dude
6:11 when I lean back in a squeaky chair
🤣
I was at that taping of this show. He had the envelope the whole time. And I know no forces were used.
You don't "know" shit unless you were in on the trick, goober.
were you? did you?
+Contra Bullshit the fact that you used goober cracked me up
he forced him so hard it was litterally a classic
I'm sure the person he gave it to was somehow in on the trick
Wow, I think Jimmy's reaction to this was totally genuine :) I was thoroughly entertained!
Lol
Nah, but the card trick was cool
Armyyy~~ 😄
Z👈🏻
Na.
Nope
The word "SPICY" on the chalkboard & on the card are written the exact same way! LOL Love Jimmy & this show! HILARIOUS as always
Jimmy would have the same reaction if you told him what was for lunch.
FyffeTimesBetterThanYourAverageBanana "oh my god man I'm freakin out right now you're the greatest" 😂
best comment :)
Hahaha
Jimmy's inner seal came out @ 6:11
k
😂😂😂😂
OMG I ACTUALLY LAUGHED SO HARD
wtf creepy ahaha
checkout these killers on *www.* *allaboutallnow.* *com*
He didn't put the cap back on.
hey
I can't stop thinking about it
Maybe he can make an illusion where he makes Hillary's coughing fits stop.
what cap?
Rebecca Rocks I'm assuming they meant the sharpie.
Who writes a Y's like that? Jimmy and this guy.
Yes. The handwriting on the chalk board and the card are the same style sans the "S".
It's because, with a LYNX blackboard (google it--it's real!), a machine prints the exact same word onto the chalkboard exactly as it was written. You just need to put a tablet, or a phone, inside that table Jimmy writes it on.
oooo boy thats sneaky,,, but how did h get the card in the envelope
There are two different cards. Nobody really looks in the envelope to see that it's empty. The card that Jimmy takes out of the envelope at the end, has the "C" smudged. When Jimmy signs the card at the beginning he is very careful not to smudge the ink. Also, there is no ink on Jimmy's fingers.
O.O
oh, but you ruined it now!!!
I've examined this for days, i figured out the first two acts, but i literally can not, for the life of me, figure out how he got the card got in the envelope.
Act 1 (chalk board) - Jimmy is using a smart pen, this tracks the strokes and hand movements when you are writing. A lot of engineers and artists use it. He linked up the pen with the board to a device that copies the strokes on the board. If you notice, the way Jimmy writes his P and Y in "spicy" are unique, and they are both the same on the board and on the card.
Act 2 (card disappearing) - advanced staged card cut and slight of hand, 2:15. The card went into his sleeve/pocket.
Act 3 (card in the envelope) - ?????????? Good trick sir, good trick. I literally can not logically piece that together.
Bravo
Same thing man - guy is a stooge (only guy in the audience which is clothed smart-casually) and has a second envelope with a printer of some kind. Cards against humanity are all black and white, the ink has the exact same color - so perfect for a printer. I just don't know how they transferred the information which card got chosen. This may be due to a force?
I think he planned with Jimmy Fallon for last one..
A bitter guess
MurkedStat I also noticed that the handwriting was the same
@@canyumusak994 except the card has a smudge...which shouldn't happen if there is a printer
@@canyumusak994 You think there was a printer inside that flat envelope?
"SPICY" is written in the same hand writing on the chalk board and on the card that Jimmy wrote on... academy award incoming?
Exactly what I was thinking!
YA!
I disagree. The handwriting looks nothing the same.
Look at the "Y"'s. Literally the first time I've ever seen a Y look like that and BAM its on both.
Buy glasses
I'll be back in a couple of days expecting the top comment to be an explanation on how he did this.
SAME 😂😂
It was written on the board before and it was invisible marker and the guy in the audience was payed. As the board was revealed he snuck a pre written card into it from his pocket
We need Morgan Freeman from Now You See Me to explain this trick and bust the illusionist. Where he at?
+Strange Doctor i just watched now u see me 2
+Gina Gina Bumbum wow you're really good at it
There is no moment better then when Jimmy is with a illusionist lol like a kid priceless and I love it.
thats a good question why him
Yea look at how spicy is written on the card and the board especially the Y who writes a Y like that
Both of them obviously
I write my y's like that
i noticed the same thing!
To be fair, if you look closely how Jimmy writes onto the card. He also writes his Y like that.
+Sam Dawson (that's the point)
1) He did not cut the deck.
2) When he produces the box is when he removes the card.
3) I don't know the rest.
LOL - I like your honest approach.
I think it's when he presents the cards to him, he still spreads the card and in subtle way directs him to pick the zesty card, by making it more available for him to pick out.
Haha. That's exactly what I was thinking
+Given Suman. You're probably right. That's why the writing on the chalk board is all squiggly.
ma nigga
the same handwriting style on the card and schalkboard!!!
yeh lool, i noticed that too
You can see at 6:26 Jimmy's handwriting is exactly like what is shown on the chalkboard, i think it's not a regular board, it registered what Jimmy wrote and appeared on the board. It can't be real that Dan has the same handwriting as Jimmy. And at 0:22 Jimmy asked "why him?" and he only laughed really nervously. Something is fishy here definitely about that guy in the audience
I saw where he removed the card from the deck, when he was like "just let me cut this"
I saw that too, but how did he know Jimmy was going to write "spicy" and how did the card get in the envelope?
+wjhung2 If you noticed, the handwriting of the word "spicy" was the exact same on the card and the board. Which goes to reason that there was some sort of tracker inside the marker that then sent a signal to a machine under the cover on the backside of the chalkboard. Now the card being in the envelope, in most cases like that its scripted but there could be some other explanation. The part where he took it out of the deck was so blatantly obvious though.
+Vainglory With Rev thanks cause I just realized not a lot of ppl write their y like that and the abnormal s
The S in Spicy is different on the board then it is on the card. My guess is the board recognizes what letter the market is drawing and uses a predefined version of that letter so that the handwriting isnt exactly the same.
yea but the rest of the word are pretty similar most people don't write a "Y" like that, so just the fact the letters were very similar means that something "copied" the writing because the chances both Jimmy and him write exactly that same way is impossible. I think most people have a jist of how the trick is done. The pen, like an echo smartpen, sends a copy of what he writes to a computer which is used to do the writing on the chalkboard with some sort of device, probably built into the frame or something, and the guy in the audience is a plant and he has some sort of similar printer that he can slip a duplicate card into the envelope, or just to exchange envelopes when no one is paying attention, etc. Still pretty cool.
All I know is when he cut the deck and grabbed the box he placed the card in his pocket. So that's how it disappeared from the deck.
Yeah, I saw that too. But how did it end up in the envelope?
+Goldenclaw you can make force a card so someone always picks it but the same handwriting idk
+Minato AMV'S he never shows the card
Ockham´s Razor: Jimmy was into it (and he´s actually not that surprised)
We're a type zero. Maybe type one in another hundred years
0:11 The girl on the left with the jeans-jacket is pretty hungry...
🤤🤤🤤
Lol. Totally
she wants a piece of that
She looks familiar, probably looks like some actor
Lol everyone trying to say how it's been done. None of you are even close. LED chalk board, seriously? At 0:11 he tosses the card on the ground then the guy picks it up of the ground? Lol.
People. This guy is a magician amongst other magicians on the Internet. He knows he would short his career if he was that simple, sloppy and easy to figure out. Other magicians are watching his every move. The trick that he does is an old one. But the deliver is rather new. And incredible. The fact that he leaves it up to Jimmy to pick a word, debunks everyone here. And if the guy had to tell Jimmy what to write before hand Jimmy probably wouldn't have him back on the show for not being that amazing. The guy keeps his tricks to himself. You guys are not Penn and Teller. Sooooo, stop already. By all means throw out theories, but don't say "this is how he did it" you can say "I think this is how he did it." You insult your own intelligence when making these claims.
"Illusionist" not a magician.
Thank you for your comment! Exactly how I feel! I'm guessing you've dabbled in magic. From this entire set, the only thing I caught was the moment he "stole" the card. I'm still trying to figure out how it ended up in the envelope.
pause it. its not a card u fucking dumbass he took out the plastic that covers the sticky part that seals the envelope.
I think he got the card in the envelope by jimmy having it go down his sleeve, somehow pulling the card back up behind the envelope, thats why he didn't show everyone the right side of the envelope
I agree, and I hear you. Everyone likes to be an armchair quarterback and try to "debunk" the myth of magic.
That being said, let me echo what some comments are already saying and get in on this annoying "debunking." I don't know the rest, but the way that the word "spicy" was on the chalkboard was with a LYNX chalkboard. It's a very real thing. All you need is to put a tablet inside that table where Jimmy writes the word, and a machine prints the exact same writing onto the chalkboard.
If you want to see it, check out Mystique Factory's LYNX blackboard, going for the low rate for $3700.
www.mystiquefactory.com/products/lynx-blackboard
I've seen acts like this before, which is why I feel confident jumping in on the "debunking" bandwagon. I have no clue how the rest is done, and I'm not going to guess, but the chalkboard is no ordinary chalkboard. I guarantee you he would not be able to do that trick without the black covering over the chalkboard.
after this jimmy went home and drank himself into a alcoholic rage
AYYYYYYYYYYYY LMAOOOOOOOOOOOo
+Carlos Rafael Gómez Cabrera -_-
Cmon, the magician gave the envelope literally to a copy of himself. It's obvious they work together.
Lol
Agreed! The guy was practically his twin!
yea, thats the only way i can think that that would work, the guy he
gives it to has cards and is skilled at copying exactly what jimmy
writes. All the have to do is see it somehow while he writes it. The
rest is just him palming the card which you can see and is basic stuff.
Also chalkboard is huge enough to have a little automatic robot to write so thats not a biggy either
Ok, let's just say that guy is in on it, let's think that through. How on earth would the guy know what to write when Jimmy wrote and signed it and hid it back in the deck. The guy is not in on the trick because he never actually sees the card himself until the end.
second to last guy to pass the envelope down also man
5:56 the real magic
The font on the chalkboard and on Jimmy’s card is exactly the same...
Very interesting
Ohh you're right on that , this is a scam show
@@KING-lh4uo ?
At 4:04 min Dan White says he wrote something with chalk... And yet the hand writing on card is Jimmy's...those writings look the same to me... Coincidence??
'LYNX Chalkboard' Device
Yes, youtube video of lynx chalkboard shows how it works. Still doesn't explain the envelope (or the "electric shock"). The guy in the audience had to be an assistant.
4:35 he stretches out a super thin, almost invisible elastic band that was around his wrist. he then scratches the outside of jimmy's hand with it, which jimmy describes as an "electric shock"
+boreduser12 I think the shock could've been from his shock watch
Alan Boyle Good catch!
+Alan Boyle godly catch m8
Guy holding the envelope seemed like a plant. They looked like twins. Would have been more convincing if the audience member were chosen at random.
If this guy is making a salary out of this and invited to the tonight show, then Im sure hes quite smart enough to think of that if he was trying to fix this trick. I would say the opposite of what you said tbh.
or if he just through it in the crowd
i had the same thought like damn was there a glitch in the matrix
Fruit or vegetable?
Figured cuz the guy had a suit on lol
jimmy's the real magician in this one. props to your acting brotha.
I added this to my watch later 5 years ago and just now got to it
I love how Jimmy in the beginning says why him when the guy picks an audience member haha
This is the LYNX chalkboard guys.... Boring act. You're welcome!!
This comment isn't close enough to the top. That was some hot bullshit about this guy having some "dream" and Jimmy saying "spicy." Does he expect people to believe that?
Thats part of the show. It's like watching a movie, you know it's fake yet you are entertained. And yes LYNX explains one part but not the envelope. Could be a camera in his pocket. He obviously took the card out of the deck when he "CUT" the deck.
prow6 Why don't you try something better? It was an elaborate act. They know about people like you who want to tear everything apart and try really hard to find no entertainment out of this. But they will try harder to keep it interesting. So knowing how one trick was done wouldn't be enough to break the trick. They put in effort to add multiple layers of tricks.
+boreduser12 I have a question if it was a Lynx chalkboard, why didn't it write his signature as well?
Antonio Rodrigues It's a multi layered trick, which is what makes it amazing. The magician figured, even if those idiots on youtube figure out the chalkboard, there's still a lot more they won't figure out. That's why magic tricks/shows are so fascinating! It's what makes them professionals.
Lol I LOVE Jimmy's reactions to magic tricks
I'd be more impressed if there was a zesty burrito in the envelope
an empty envelope *takes something out before he closes it*
if you look closely you can see that it's just the paper on the sticky strip that he takes off :)
lol that was the sticky strip dude lol
the marker
Why is "spicy" written the same way on the chalk board and on the card?
Because there is only one way to spell "Spicy".
he meant the writing......
lol
*****
for sure, but the comment of randomlers cracked me up
randomlers no i mean the way that it is written not the spelling.
The guy with the envelope looks like the magician lol they are twins
This is not staged
I will tell you how he did it:
1. Jimmy wrote a word on the card
2. Dan then used slight of hand to control Jimmy's card to the bottom
3. Dan slid the card into his pocket as he reached for the deck box
4. Somehow the card was given (there are various ways of doing this) to the man in the audience (part of the act)
5. Backstage someone used a tablet to transfer the word on the card onto the chalkboard. This is called *The Lynx Chalkboard Device* (this is also why the "y" looks the same)
6. He revealed the word on the chalkboard and the envelope with his card
Christian T could you just drop some of these various ways? I mean in this case. how did he do that?
you are absolutely correct, however it's still interesting how it got from his pocket to that man
you can see him drop a card (and see it on the steps even) when he hands the envelope at the beginning. meaning jimmy had to be in on it the whole time.
naah jimmy is not in on it. this is a great trick. the main mystery is how he got the card into the envelope. i'm guessing it happened soon after jimmy signed it and inserted it into the deck. but he did not walk into the audience after that, so how did it move there?
#1 already wrong. There’s a magic chalkboard called lynx chalkboard ....east trick if u hv 5000 usd. the rest idk
I dream about Jimmy too
hahahahahaha
really? I dream of genie. da dum chhhhh
I was just waiting for Penn and Teller to show up at the end and say he didn't fool them! :P
I totally love Jimmy's reaction!
4:35
the old string out of the sleeve trick.
The y on the card and the y on the board for spicy matches so jimmy wrote that before hand
well i just commented that.. good to know that u observed it too
Pretty sure it copied Jimmy's writing through the table to a chalk writer in the black drape over the board hence the back facing board. That part was using technology. The card in the envelope somehow used the same technology.
youtube search "LYNX blackboard"
+boreduser12 yup, I see now. That 100% is a Lynx chalkboard.
Good observation. That's definitely a LYNX chalkboard. And there's a reason why it was turned around with a heavy black drape: So the audience couldn't see the auto chalk pen drawing the word "spicy" during the show. Not sure why they had it copy the "y" like Jimmy's.
Jimmy agrees to not having set anything up prior to the trick and then winks, uh huh, sure.
he said all i knew was to look at that camera and simply winks at the camera man, I don't think that meant anything
4:36 "How the Fuck did you do that?" What a beautiful reaction by Jimmy lmao
Any magician: voila
Jimmy: your the greatest man.
You can tell Jimmy wasn't in on it. That audience member probably was, but it's cool to see Jimmy being genuine
would be funny if the man holding the envelope took a pic or open the envelope
took a peek *
even funnier if the guy holding the envelope blew the whole trick by saying u should of giving me that raise lol smh...
+TheJerzyslugga That sentence is cancer
My favorite thing is you can see him hold the pinky break and ditch the card into his jacket. Now ive never figured out how he get the card to the audience, ive always had trouble seeing that one but it had to be when he moved the chalk board or sometime in between a move because theres no way he couldve had the card in the envelope before jimmy wrote on it. He gave it to a person that looked and dressed liked him for a reason.
How do you explain the chalk on the black board?
CelticShadow people who understand basic card tricks like me could see that easily, i'm still trying to figure out how he got it to the audience too but the guy he gave the envelope to had to have been in on it
Troop Raven pretty sure i said that XD
ParticlePhysXAnomaly do you think the trick couldve been done if the chalkboard was uncovered?
CelticShadow he dropped it on the ground
at 4:37 when he wipes the chalk off of his hands he pulls a clear rubber band off of his wrist
Oh my godddd dude that explains that feeling that he felt
Woowww you're a genius
That still doesn't explain the trick
good spot
Very clever if true. a little snap will mimic a shock. And at 5:10 the awkward finger position seems like he's hiding something. Plus T.V. shows tend to rig events! but clever! But all pre-planned for show!
Wow, first of all that really is a very good trick. Now let's ruin it by over analysing ;)
1) When he seals the envelop at 0:09 he drops something, although that could just be the peeling strip
2) At 1:42 a helper could spy to see what he's writing, maybe someone above the stage.
3) When he takes the marked card at 2:13 he somehow separates the card when he holds the deck to his jacket.
4) He stalls with the whole "I dream about you", so maybe preparing chalk board writing takes time, which is also why he needs a "short word".
5) The word on the chalk board at 4:09 could be some high-tech remote controled chalk-writing by the spy helper.
6) One of the persons passing the red envelop at 5:44 might also be a helper, although I don't see anything suspicious
I think he forced jimmy to pick that card (lots of ways to do that) and he already had spicy written on the chalk board. he also had another word written on the other side of the chalkboard that jimmy was likely to pick. thats why when jimmy said he wrote spicy the magician had to turn the chalk board over. if jimmy had picked a word that wasn't either of the two written words the magician would have never included the chalkboard into the trick. like u said he was able to remove jimmy's card out of the deck using sleight of hand when his hand went behind his jacket. i dont know how the card got into the envelope thought....must've involved some high tech technology and the help of the audience member who was holding the envelope
Reading your thing pains me so hard.
Bullshit I'm sorry this explanation solves nothing.
nah it was a lynx chalkboard.. look one up it made it so whatever he wrote on the card because he did it on that table would show up on the chalkboard.. if you look at the card and the board they also have the exact same handwriting..
Why can't jimmy be as genuine in all of his shows like he is in this video haha
What I really like about Dan White is he doesn’t pretend to have super powers. He’s not doing mysticism or something weird.
He’s just a damn good magician with an easy going personality that lets the trick speak for itself. Really cool.
I love Jimmys reaction. He's so great
Jimmy, listen to me, ambalope Jimmy, open the ambalope Jimmy. Jimmy, listen Jimmy, Jimmy, the ambalope.
The pen Jimmy uses is a magic pen that transmits (via radio signal) the handwriting to the guy in audience.
Jimmy's card is removed from deck (standard slight-of-hand maneuver).
Guy in audience is in on it (of course) and he has a mini-card printer which duplicates the image received from the pen. Guy in audience slips card into envelope. The chalkboard was never mentioned until the end of the trick. This means that if jimmy never used the word "spicy" or some other easily guessable word, then the chalkboard reveal would have never happened. Notice that magician turned the board around to do the reveal which means there was another word on the other side of the board.
Yup..he prob had "taco " written on other side of board...
+
Notice how he doesn't go through all the cards at 5:16 and stop right before the end, so that at 2:11 he put the card in the back of the deck. Jimmy is with him in the trick and wrote the word on the same card and put it in the envelope before the start of the show, and on the chalkboard.
The other word was "POTATOE".
*****
It doesn't matter if the cards are unique, the audience guy can print any card. All the cards will cause people to associate the word "spicy" or "hot".
'no man upstairs' is pretty contradictory when he uses evil spirits to perform his tricks!
0:22
When someone asks a magician "why him" and the magician nervously laughs it off instead of asking "Ok, you want me to choose someone else? Pick".
Then you know that something is fishy..
After all, magicians jobs are to give you the freedom of choice to impress you.
And I am unfortunately not impressed.
That dude is in on it.
I thought that too! Even the way he “randomly” chooses a person at 0:12 seems acted out and fishy.
Planting words, subconsciously, is easy. But how the heeeeeell did he get the card up to the guy in the audience?
I can't believe you know how he got that word in his head but don't know how he got that in the envelope
If he did plant the word, then he knew what the word would be, and we never saw the one Jimmy wrote... so it could of been a duplicate.. not saying that is how it done, just a possible way
This trick wasn't done by suggestion.
+Jex2112 it's could've not could of
Obviously the card was already there... I have an empty envelope but he didn't let the guy check the envelope.
The handwriting on the chalkboard is exactly the same on the card... I smell BS
nah, just the font is the same. if you pay attention, the Y has a space on the chalkboard. on the card, it doesn't.
also the "s" is more curved inwards on the board
Hey dumbass, BS is what magic is, ya know because magic isn't real. The fact that you can't explain how it works is the whole point.
There's a device under that black courtain that mimics the writing of the pen via wireless transmission. that's why the writing is the same. but i can't figure out the damn envelope...
WTF MAN BOOB
I think the coolest part is he wrote the word on the chalkboard exactly how Jimmy wrote it on the card. Penmanship and all.
places card in pocket while grabbing "box"
that's the only thing I caught. but the vanish is the easiest part of the trick.
If you blow up the screen and pause at the exact moment you can pretty clearly see there isn't actually a card in his hands. You can't just state this and claim it like it's true just because you assume that's what happened.
sure i can! wtf are you talking about
okay assuming that the illusionist did hide the chosen card in his sleeve/pocket. How did that exact card end up in the audience members hand?
Everyone chill out and enjoy the trick. Jesus everyone is so cynical
+Joey Baseball are you not reading the comments, everyone is calling it a set up
Yeah, but what's so funny about enjoying it in the end and then not debunking it.
Ryan Carty cause its fake..hes a fraud
Osvaldo Munoz
Magic isn't real. We all know that. Who the fuck cares? Just enjoy the art, the creativity, the deception! It's just interesting to watch! Come on man, hate isn't appealing.
people don't want to admit they don't know something
Magicians do this often. It's called dual reality. Jimmy thinks that's the same card it's not. He copied his signature and the guy in the audience IS in on it! He wrote down spicy on the card as soon as he showed everyone the chalkboard. That's a special pen and chalk board whatever u write with the pen will be copied to the board. Don't forget he chose who to give the envelope to he did not ask jimmy who should I give it to. I'm a magician I would know :) you're welcome
Your'e a magician? So I'm sure you would like it if you went on television and everybody, instead of just appreciating your art form, was trying to explain how you did it and ruin the illusion. If you know then you should have kept it to yourself and have some respect for the art.
I don't get it... if you are a magician then why reveal the trick?
With that said I also do not understand the people that come on to these videos and talk about how it is fake and it is not real magic like we are children that need to be told the truth.
Of course it is fake. Real magic does not exist. THe thing that makes the illusion so appealing is that we DO NOT know how they did it.
Vainglory With Rev
There are always exceptions but for the most part the "magic" is in the unknown and I think most people would prefer to pretend that trick was magic as opposed to knowing the truth about how it was done. We already know magic does not exist.
It is also one thing to try and figure out the trick and maybe toss a few theories out but to just flat out know is kinda disappointing or at least it would be for me.
There is no point in watching the tricks any more since the mystery and unknown is gone. Just my 2 cents.
+mojo123inc this is one of the ways you can do it. I'm not the type to reveal tricks but there are tons of comments and wrong theories to how he's done it. We all know it's not real magic! So I commented so everyone can shut up. It's still entertaining to watch and I'm not ruining the art of the trick revealing it. Magic is fun once you know how it's done.
+Vainglory With Rev not a wrong theorie. This is one of the easiest ways he could've done it. There are other ways. So don't act all mr secretive on an easy ass trick.
Jimmy’s writing on the card and the writing on the chalkboard are the same. That is a very specific and unusual way to write a capital “Y”.
Ergo, Jimmy was in on it. And if Jimmy is an accomplice, the trick is fairly easy to accomplish. But so what? Great trick, great entertainment. I love being amazed by magicians and generally feel no need to figure out how it’s done. I was in San Francisco a few yrs ago at a trade show and one of the expo booths had a close-up magician doing card and coin tricks. He and I were standing no more than three feet apart with nothing except a counter between us. He blew my mind with what he could do. Seamless, smooth, his misdirections were so subtle as to be invisible. Total pro. Amazing.
When he pulled the box out of his pocket he put Jimmy's card in there.
for those who don't know how this is done:
1. he took the card out when shuffled
2. jimmy and him did this before hand, aka setup.
3. chalkboard made it obvious, same handwriting.
4. the card in the red envelope is another card he signed.
I also think this is setup but have u ever heard of a "Lynx chalkboard" before? I'm trying to think maybe he used that... but then how is it in the envelope...
Not even in the realm of close. The envelope is gaffed, it is empty. The magician palms the card before putting them in the box, then slips the card back into the envelope. The chalk is a lynx board.
Fatacemcafee thats a possibility not a firm statement fucker
Derek Cormier but Jimmy was the only one who touched the envelope afterwards
There is no way Jimmy wasn't in on it.
I doubt he was in on it. There are explanations for tricks like this that don't involve participation on his part. I do think the man from the audience was in on it though.
of course there is a way to do it without jimmy being part of it.
can you tell me how?
+Henry Liu Fucking magic.
+i5m1thy the man in the crowd was def in on it. i thought that as soon as he handed him the envelope
That's so weird...I knew Jimmy had picked the word "spicy." I thought of the same word when he said "Zesty breakfast burrito." The power of suggestion, I guess, lol.
how about HOT ; FOOD; MEXICAN; EATING; EAT; GAS,lol .... c'mon!!
Did anyone else notice that the word spicy on the card, was the exact same handwriting as it was on the chalk board. Special cards!
4: 30 He wiped the word from the board so that he can then dust his hands off and in that moment pull a rubber band from his right hand to gently rub jimmys hands.
3:38 jimmy winks at the camera
I love magic..and the deconstruction after as well
Illusion increased to 95
Let me guess guys - first of all he dropped on the floor few cards that had something weird written on it to let us think that all other cards have different texts on it while in reality 50% of the other cards that were left in deck had a something written on it that makes you or any other average person think about the spicy word, probably other 50% of the cards had something that makes you think about the 2nd word that was written on the chalkboard's front end, because as you might have noticed he even turned it around without removing the cape so no one could see the 2nd word, as for the card in the red envelope i guess it was setup, 2 persons in audience had 2 different red envelopes with 2 different cards
At 0:10 he takes something out of the envelope.
he's taking off the sticky strip on the envelope so he can seal it.
Yes, you are probably right. I thought I had solved the trick. -_-
Yeah but he threw it down on the steps, look after he walks down.
josh prince yeah, it's just the sticky strip he took off. He threw it on the ground and that's what you see.
dsma06 that's a pen
Very simple.
1. "Random" participant isn't random.
2. The table on which Jimmy writes with the pen is a gimmick table that is connected to the chalkboard that copies what jimmy is writing, that's why the letters are practically identical
3. Sleight of hand on Jimmy's card and it's being passed back to the participant (there are many windows of opportunity where/when that could've happened)
Most magic tricks are around diversion. This guy is pretty good at it. There's also an increasing number of gimmicks and electronics involved in a lot of tricks.
Dan: Jimmy, open the envelope.
Jimmy thinking: that's so funny
It’s so funny no one will guess that this is staged
A magician I went to did this trick, I was the person given the envelope, no idea how they did it.
did you feel an electric shock?
@@synchronicitystudios8217 great question, did you ??
@@synchronicitystudios8217 It's not an electric shock, probably Jimmy thought it was as an explanation, like the "electric wall" hah
@@trinidad17 nope there’s a trick we use to create an electric shock
Now if jimmy wasn’t in on this trick then I blv In Magic
At 0:10 he took something out of the envelope and tossed it on the floor for the guy
Wasn't a sharpie, it was the piece of paper that you remove from the glue that seals the envelope. Play in 0.25 speed to see it.
+saltyHash lol a sharpie. Because the guy for got his at home hahaha idiot. Why the hell would he have to drop him a sharpie? Guy doesn't have pockets
Dude....what you saw was the plastic tape he peeled off of the envelope to make the envelope sealable.
I love how excited he is
I would really like to see a close up of the card Jimmy signed and the one that was in the envelope. I'm pretty sure they would not be 100% identical...
If there were two cards to examine, then you wouldn’t have to see if they were identical! Lol.
handwriting on the chalk board is the same as the card. how many people really make their y's like that
Everyone
+Kirk Cooey The Y looks exactly the same, there is not dot on the "i", and the "p" has the exact same loop at the top.
Kirk, if everyone wrote y's like that, they would look like that on your standard keyboard. It's a unique way of making the letter and unfortunately gives away the whole trick. Besides, most "volunteers" are plants, and Jimmy isn't that great at pretending like he's clueless
I do my Y's like this: y
I do my y's like this: why
This guy is a genius.
he is a real artist
I wish I could do that too :)
no "you're is the greatest"
jimmy fallen
You're everywhere... It's starting to worry me
+gelu4in 😂😂😂😂
Amazing!
girl in lower left corner keeps biting her lip, smiling and checks out the magician dudes butt 0:05
He he dropped something. Suspecious
+Joker suspicious.
+Joker I saw that too but it ended up being the paper strip from the envelope. He throws it down on the groud and you can see it when he walks down. Litter bug
+Kat1995 I paused it multiple times and zoomed in, it is the paper from envelope to seal it
Yep lol
I only figured out the first part of the trick
2:22 the card is removed from the pack and put in his coat pocket. (Now that is the most elaborate and thickest chalk board i have ever seen) Its clear that the card is "Scanned" and some contraption writes on the chalkboard.
Unless there is a printer so dam small that can then print out jimmy's card in that envelope i have no idea that the 2nd part was pulled off.
Look up the lynx black board thats why theres a black drape over the board the whole time
The giy was in on it The card was forced on him they know the most common word was spicy after that a simple look up of his signature and you have a duplicate card
Great trick. He showed the envelope was empty and gave it to the guy. I love magic and Dan White is great!
Bro this was so fake
@@belzoni5430 plays are completely different from magic tricks. His performance is trying to fool the audience. But it's not a good performance if everyone knows who is in on it
@@belzoni5430 Look buddy, no need to be rude. All I'm saying is that the "performance" sucked because he did something that is in no way possible, so he cheated. Dan White is a good magician but he didn't do anything with skill here, it was all acting. Fake. Good day.
@@belzoni5430 YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO ACT IN A FUCKING MAGIC TRICK. GET OUT OF HERE DRAMA BOY!
No matter what the "pooping in a laptop and closing it." Kills me every time😂
Jimmys reactions are priceless haha
i cant figure this out! I dont even know where to start when it comes to having his card in that envelope.
0:24 there's something on the stairs
what is it ? Jimmy's fake laugh ?
+Hilmi krzB1 no it's an annoying CZcams commenter who has nothing better to do with his life than comment on a guy's laugh on every video
itwas the sealcover from the envelope
+CRACKBLAZER nah I'm just tired on these fake laugh comments on every video.....it's Jimmy's job to be hospitable to his guests. If the guests tell jokes and he doesn't laugh at all, they won't come back, and he'll be out of a job. Any of these commenters would do the same if they made the $ and fame Jimmy has. So they could f#!* off.
At 4:35 you can see the magician pulling out a thread (or something) out of his sleeve and preparing it. That explains how Jimmy "felt something". Unfortunately that's the only part of the trick I figured out, lol
when he writes on the table it writes at the same time on the board
