I have been trying to infrom you of my leatest discovery of 3D pixle art,
allowed me introduce you to MagicaVoxel it a 3d pixle art but it actually 3d (Volume + pixel = voxel)
Did you notice that Masahiro Sakurai videos have a similar ending to your videos? except his say Stage Clear ;)
I love how the Magenta - Strawberry Ranger I holding up 1 finger, the Yellow - Banana Ranger is holding 2, and the Cyan - ??? Ranger is holding 3 fingers up

My favorite episode of Super Fruit Radio Rangers was the one where the bad guys created they own evil team of rangers, the RGB Rangers. The emotional final battle between the two teams always bring tears to my eyes.

This Power Ranger art reminds me a lot of the modern Cartoon Network bumpers that played out on TV and has the same CMYK color scheme.
Brandon, I've been going through a bit of a rough time for the past year or so, but watching your videos has genuinely made me feel a lot better. It's especially neat seeing the colours translate onto actual prints. Considering how often this channel emphasizes digital palettes, thinking in terms of CMYK & printing is a whole different mode; one you might not expect to see pixel art to dive into. I ended up learning some new things about colours & printing from watching this video! 🖨️🎨✨
Thanks dude, always nice to hear! 😅 And yeah I used to do a lot more work with printing and it was nice to get a taste for that workflow again! It's also neat to see pixel art in that format; I could see myself having a lot of fun with my own large format printer or something ✨

The claw machine idea has a lot of potential, it’s no worse than Timeranger shrinking the mutant criminals into action figures. I’d be really curious to see this as an isometric action rpg

Another great video! I absolutely love the idea of a fruit/radio sentai team, and I hope you'll come back to draw more from this series and maybe fill in more lore as you go along- I wanna know more about K! lol
I wanted to add that in Photoshop, while working in RGB you can use ctrl+y(cmd+y on macs I think?) to view your work through a CMYK/more print-safe palette. It's something I'm sure seasoned Photoshop users already know, but I wanted to throw that out there for people that might not c:

To my knowledge I don't think there's ever been a fruit-themed Sentai, though I'm pretty sure there was a fruit-themed Kamen Rider.

I think Kamen Rider Gaim is an interesting comparison point to this video because in my opinion it does suffer from the themes becoming too muddled like what was mentioned when he added the radio elements.
Between Fruit, Samurai, Locks, Stageplay/Dance, there was a little too much going on and it didn't all hang together.
A wonderful piece! Love the bold design decisions you were able to get out of something as simple as a particularly stark palette, and of course I'm a sucker for any good Sentai styled designs. Out of curiosity, I know you've shown your own methods of using a laptop touchpad, but would you have any interest in a video exploring some of the other tools, particularly the options in the highly-portable space like large phones and small tablets?

I am obsessed with cmyk. Just an fyi about changing custom colors, look into Ben Day dots and comic book art. Even if you don't use transparency or 'multiply' layers, the dots can cause an optical illusion for different colors. Though at a tiny scale it may just look like a checkered pattern.
I would actually watch this. I never even thought of watching something in the sentai/power ranger area
At 10:04, the color mixtures look like purple, green, and orange. A video with those would also be cool.

Brandon. This project brings back memories of going to School of Visual Arts. I had projects like this CYMK using only 4 colors. I wonder if this can be translated to only 3 colors or RGB.

Super Fruit Radio Rangers is a phenomenal title.
My favourite Village People song, "CMYK"!
Inkjet printers actually use CMY only to create red, green, and blue patches via subtractive color mixing. For example, a yellow and cyan droplet atop of each other results in green. Then we end up with (only!) 8 colors: CMY+RGB+KW (where K is black and W is white).
The twist ist, all the other thousands of colors are created via dithering! Not via subtractive color mixing. You see only the 8 base colors if you look at a printer picture under the microscope.
So if you want to use only those 8 colors in an pixel art image, you can to try to do the dithering for other colors on a pixel basis.
there is a Kamen Rider inspired by fruits , Kamen Rider Gaim , which once had a crossover with Toqger the trains sentai

"K" is obviously the "Sixth Ranger". He was probably an action figure painted black and brought to life by the Big Bad only to eventually join the team. There may or may not also be a White CMYK Ranger as well.

6:15 Uhh… So for anyone not cultured enough to know, A gamut is basically a colour space. Used in film, wideo, art, & comics to say the range of different colours that can be made with different media.

have you tried minecrafts form of pixel art? its called mapart and its color pallete is limited by the blocks thta can be rendered on a map, theres a lot of different tutorials online
