unSEALed - A Navy SEAL's guide to Mastering Life's Transitions - with Mark Greene

- Mark Greene is a former Navy SEAL with 20 years of distinguished service, and he is one of my oldest friends. Out of the 180 trainees that started day one of BUD/s class 212, Mark is one of the original 18 who successfully graduated.
From enlisted SEAL to a transition into the officer ranks, Mark's story encompasses multiple combat deployments and service on both East and West Coast SEAL Teams, including time as a sniper instructor and Special Warfare Combat Crewman OIC (Officer in Charge).
Post-military, Mark transitioned to a fundraising role at USC, and now his latest achievement is as an author. Mark's book "Unsealed," is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the unyielding spirit of a warrior turned writer.

This guy is an absolute gem.
Mark’s pretty cool too!😂😂
Man these Black seals need to come back to our community and Share their stories I think it would inspire a lot of kids growing up in Inner cities..
Check out Remi Adeleke
A lot of these guys don't want to offend their white counterparts.
@@complexblackness I can see that being true
@@lto5270 Where are you from?
@@lto5270 Because they need better role models. It's pretty obvious.
Right when I was starting to think, only Goggins, Bigsby, Quarles, and Adeleke were the only cool Black SEALS, Andy brought us this awesome brother, Mark Greene! For my neighborhood/community, we need to see these guys 💯. Thank you Andy 👍🏾
Respect All Fear None
I worked for the Teams as a Comms guy for most of my time in the Navy. One of the last things I did was work for the exercise control group that put Team 10 through their TGIT, basically the last exercise before a team deploys. Their CO was black. He was the most intelligent and competent SEAL officer I’ve met. And I’ve worked for a lot of SEAL commanders, good ones too. If he stays in the Navy and doesn’t screw up he will 100% be an Admiral one day.
@@n1c704 True Story. Jake was actually before all of those I listed. I stayed on his youtube channel! Much respect
What do you mean when you say "the only cool" black seals?
That's racist. Why's he gotta be black?
Jake Zweig is the COOLEST!!! I love that guy. I wish I could have had him as a mentor before I joined the NAVY.
Mark is obviously a real, genuine friend. Good dude, great episode!
Please bring Mark back. That was a great conversation to listen too what a crazy place we’re in as a society now we just sit and listen too a couple buddies chatting it up, but yet there’s so much to pull from it, it can go from therapeutic to comedy all in one conversation. Thanks Andy your killing it man and I’m happy for your success you earned it.
The lustre of gold isn’t half so rich as the sound of old friends sharing laughter. God set a flower upon your heads.
I spent a brief time in history with these two gentelmen during my time in BUD/S class 212. Beyond proud to have known and served with these outstanding men! I can not express to them my gratitude for their service and sacrafice for this great country,...Hooyah 212!!!
@nickspaid593 did you graduate 212?
I’m only 40 minutes in and I’ve laughed a shit ton . Andy is hilarious and this dude seems like a good, genuine person and friend.
I wouldn’t mind if Andy and Mark did a monthly episode.
I really liked listening to Mark. He seems like a real genuine man and relatable.
I like how soft spoken he is. You can tell he's a very gentle man.
Andy and Mark...brothers from different mothers. It may have been 10 years between seeing each other, but you wouldn't know. Andy & Mark, you two are AMAZING individuals! BZ
Mark Green is such a soft spoken man. Hard to believe he was one of the deadliest commandos in the world.
I know you’re very modest but I want you to know how influential you are to me. You’re a true role model to young men/women in our country. We need more “Andy Stumpf” in these times.
Episodes like this one with your old friends are so fun to listen to.
Mark Green is amazing. The guy is clearly a gentle soul, amazing that he was also a SEAL.
Couldn't stop smiling watching this interview... So many life lessons.
This man has much respect for Andy. I also am tired of Andy always trying to pretend he is an average dude. Andy is one of those guys who could have been successful at anything he did. Honestly this is probably my favorite episode. Mark has a great story without having to put a bunch of his fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Left most all that completely out and still a bad ass poscast
Trust me, I am as average as they come
Great episode! Mark seems to be such a genuine soul. And Andy, learn to take a compliment....You're smart, just accept it! Andy's Smart! Andy's Smart! Andy's Smart!!!!!!
This was a great show. I would love if Mark came on again in the future. Awesome
Really struck a chord with me when Mark talked about saving money as a 12yo only to have to give it to his folks for bills...largely because of poor decision making. Boy oh boy does that sound familiar. The cool thing is, if you're lucky, you get to grow up & lead your own life. Great lessons.
Andy, you forgot to mention in the intro that among the 18 originals that you and Mark graduated with in your BUD/S class, Jack Carr was not one of them.
Andy is truly so good at this and interviewing. He has impeccable wit. He is a charming guy and is very reasoned in his analysis of issues and atypical in his self-awareness. He has incredible critical thinking skills that are unmatched among similar podcast hosts who generally present as self-righteous and "you can't tell me nothing" attitudes. Huge fan of Andy. Keep doing what you are doing. Appreciate you and your contribution to the world.
These types of podcasts on here are my favorites. Just two buddies shooting the shit together.
Andy is an inspiration to me and has helped me keep my shit together through my toughest years, true humility is rare
I can see why he's one of your oldest friends... And I'd bet he was the type of dude you tried not to take along with you when going out to meet girls -- this dude would throw off the whole balance of the crew.. taller, better looking, nicer, more athletic, better educated... I've had my run-ins with guys like this in life, they make middle-of-the-pack dudes like me look terrible. lol. awesome ep, keep 'em coming...
You haven't had a nicer person on your channel yet. Dude is such a good soul.
This turned into a visceral and gritty conversation. Particularly the suicide discussion. You may have saved a few lives with it. God bless you
Guys being dudes… love it. Great conversation between old friends 👌🏻
This was one of the best pods I’ve watched in a while… These two guys Rock.
You need to get JOHN MCPHEE “SHERIFF OF BAGHDAD” on the show!
That won't happen McPhee was tim kennedy boss and hates him to this day
why would that impact whether or not I had him on the show?
Kennedy speaks extremely highly of The Sherrif....he says he would follow him into battle any day...Mr. McPhee would be an amazing guest
@ClearedHotPodcast oh no, having listened to his podcasts from what he has said it doesn't seem like McPhee would be interested. I know you'd be open to it but by listening to his comments it seems he definitely would not be. I'd love it but unless his views have changed I don't think it will happen
@@Chertoff88so I am not familiar with this person at all. He would not want to come on because I know Tim? I don’t understand what the hesitancy would be given we don’t know each other?
Watching these two humble heroes was humbling in and of itself.
Five Fucking Stars!!! This was a great podcast, thanks for letting us listen in. One of my favorites, ever.
This was an amazing episode. Love to see the camaraderie and humor. Especially on Jack Carr not finishing. 😂
Please have Mark on again soon! Loved this one. The stories were fantastic. Great guy!
Please make sure you do a 50 part series with Mark. Thank you.
Amazing podcast Andy, hope Mark comes back on. He’s a humble guy but the Jack Carr roasting was pretty funny 😂
Mark seems like a stud! Preciate the great convo today gents.
Great episode again. Had a 4 hour ride home yesterday and this covered pretty much the whole trip. Wouldn't complain if Mark was able to return for a second episode.
Hearing you guys talk about close family and life made me come home after work today with a completely grateful attitude. Even though the day sucks, I had a great ending with the kiddos enjoying watching them!
Hey man these two dudes are the real deal. Cool to listen to. More importantly they are my hero’s for protecting my family and Beautiful country after 911. God Bless
Mr green is a great example of a real gentleman.
Watching "Someone Special" with the commentary had some real "Mystery Science Theatre" vibes.
Get Mark back on! He’s the man!
I think this is your best podcast. Simple, two old friends talking shit. Can’t beat that.
Wow, the way "Officer" Greene just complimented you on how smart you are, is a major compliment. It was obviously very sincere and coming from him should be a great honor. I figure your shirking it off is just kinda jokingly but if not, dude.. that was a badass and I'm sure we'll deserved compliment.
10 minutes in and this is already one of the best ever
I am one of the ten who watched.🤠 3-hours of pure ups and downs and everything in between. Such a great story. Much respect for both of you! Lots of laughs and a few tears in this story. Thanks!
Andy I haven't laughed this much listening to any podcast I can remember.
Great show man, thanks you guys
Andy, I've been avidly following your Cleared Hot podcast, and the recent episode with Mark was truly exceptional. I felt like I got to know him, and it made for an incredibly enjoyable show. Keep up the great work!"
Andy, this is one of your best episodes yet! So great to hear you guys reconnect.
The big homie! Miss you Mark! Fight On!
Thank you Sirs, shared. Also, thank you for your compassion and grace to and for those who battled demons. Condolences.
So soft spoken and humble.. thank you for your service
Your the shit Andy hands down my favorite podcast. Over the last year since i found it, it has truly changed my life for the better. I got the help i needed and made my life and family’s life better god bless you.
Outstanding podcast, love seeing two friends carry on with each other!
This episode was fantastic and painful. Andy and Mark talked about a lot of things that I am and have experienced. Things I am still working through
It helps to hear how others have dealt and coped. Thanks.
Theres good people, and theres shtty people , of all colors and beliefs , This man seems like an awesome human being. Solid work fellas, god bless
Andy, Michael and “MG” totally enlightening 💪🏻🔱 Thank you 🇺🇸
Thank you both, Gentlemen, for this outstanding podcast! Thank you for your remarkable service! God Bless!!
Great discussion; you two are obviously good buds and it flowed effortlessly! Mark seems like an awesome, down to earth guy!
You two are so awesome!! I have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. You're both hysterically funny and Mark is so humble; something I didn't expect a Navy Seal to be. I have always admired and respected those who serve(d) in Special Forces. Thank you both for your service and for sharing your experiences.
I enjoyed this immensely. Mark seems like a great person. I will definitely be picking up his book. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
@clearedhotpodcast what a GREAT episode Andy. You guys had me in tears so many times with this one. Hearing you guys talk about road guard and Boot Camp days brought back so many memories from the good ol. Great mistakes, Illinois.
Mate most enjoyable podcast i have seen
Raw honest humours and insightful felt I was fly on wall observing two caring friends catching up
Thankyou keep that man close he is a dear kind person and has a great infinity and respect for you
Watching and hearing Andy speak gives me the impression that he is very astute and speaks very well.
Great conversation, I love how humble both gentlemen are about their experiences. Too many people with their backgrounds act like they know everything
What a genuine great dude. Hope you see this man, you deserve all your past and future success.
.... im talking about mark ofcourse, andy your a terrible human being 😂
Understood, and of course agreed. Hahaha
One of my favorite interviews. These guys are the best of the best.
Great episode with Mark Greene, 😎 interview with two friends and former Navy SEALs talking about BUD/S training, deployments in the War on terrorism everywhere, etc. I'm going to check out the book called unSEALed when I get the chance. Happy New Year 2024
I really love the raw question and answers in this episode. Andy was asking some questions that even made me uncomfortable, but for Mark to answer so openly and honestly was really cool. Realest guys on the internet
This has to be one of the best and funniest show, love ❤️ the channel 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great podcast as always. Thank you for being so open about your lives.
"Wealth buys your time back..." FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing conversation. This right here is the best of America. Absolute Great Human Beings having a great conversation. Most importantly they are great friends.
This is one of your best episodes Andy. LOVED it.
Great episode, Andi! I'd love to see more of these catching up with old friends episodes, especially the murderer (but maybe do that one over zoom or something, lol).
Andi with an I.
Nice.
This is a really good one Andy. Mark you're awesome. Hope yall are doing good. Hope Mark comes back, I know yall got some more stories!
One hell of a way to catch up with a close friend!🤙🏻
Seeing yall catch up is so awesome. I'm captivated!
Another fantastic episode. Thank you!
What a great conversation to have the opportunity to listen in on! Priceless! And now for yet another book purchase after a Cleared Hot podcast 😁.
Great episode Fellas! I relate so much to the divorce conversation and what Andy said about showing his kids who he really is. Thanks!
Mr. Stumpf, you’re a very skilled interviewer. Your episodes are always interesting and captivating.
And, btw, it’s okay to cry about your Mom’s passing.
Knocked it outta the park on this 1. Great chemistry between you 2.😊
I was only going to watch a little but I couldn’t stop so well done gents definitely need a part 2 and maybe 3! Thanks for sharing
You guys were hilarious when roasting Mr. Jack Carr, and picking on each other was the best.
Listening to your stories or experiences from different aspects of life made me realize a lot of things about life and I learned a lot here. Thank you Gentlemen. Outstanding podcast!
Great conversation between to old time friends. If you never mentioned that you were old friends you could tell just from the conversation. Great listen!
absolutely awesome interview
Incredible podcast guys. My aunt died about 2 years ago from cancer. ( more of a mom to me than my mom probably) so horrible.. thanks guys
This was a great pod cast. It’s very obvious the friendship between you both. I laughed a whole bunch. Thank you.
You know youre legit when your uncle is Mean Joe Greene. Great episode, Mark is a quality human being.
Always enjoy your perspective, Andy. Never fails to give me a thing or 2 to think about.
Side note: I'm pretty sure that I've met you at McP's a time or 2 in 97. Greg was a friend of mine and I was there every Thurs, Fri, and Sat in the late 90s.
Best podcast I have heard in years.
Loved seeing another Miami grad!!!! Great program as always, Andy....
This might be my favorite episode of cleared hot. I want to buy his book for the sole purpose of supporting Mark Greene.
Great episode!
Loved it!
33:09 I just imagine Andy as BUDS instructor doing that during the Hell Week. 🤣😂🤣
there is a video on youtube where andy "trains" the US polo team. It probably happened at the time when he was there as an instructor. you get a good look into how he would be with BUDS students.
I was having shitty day and y’all made my day. Thanks 🙏
Good stuff as always man!
