These Hanging Tea Towels are my new even easier DIY designs.
Again, I designed these without any buttons or buttonholes, snaps, velcro, ribbons or ties.
Use any size tea towel or dish cloth and add a nice strap for it to hang securely on a bar. ( Tea Towels used in this video measure 19” x 26”.
Choose from 3 designs. Plain strap, gathered strap ( like a scrunchie) or a pretty knotted bow look.
These hanging tea towels are really fast to make so are great for gift giving and as a product to sell.
Use up all those small fabric pieces that you don't know what to do with.
You can also embroider or quilt the straps to make them extra special!
Great as birthday, Mother’s Day, housewarming or holiday gift😊

What do you think of my new designs? Have you made my original Hanging Tea Towel design?
I've made 7 of the previous design!
Yes made 6. Loved it. I'll making
this design for next ones.
I cannot wait to make some! I am a beginner and you made this so easy to understand, thank you! I found this just in time for Mother’s Day!
Thanks for watching. Have fun sewing and please have a look at some of my other tutorials. Cheers!
I love your video! However, I wasn’t able to find the colored waffle weave towels from your posted link. Would it be possible to let me know which ones you used? I love the colors! Thank you
These are great. I like that you did not cut the towel in half.
Thank you. Glad you like it😊
I agree with the person who commented that you get right to the project. Sometimes I don’t even finish watching some of these because they are so in love with the sound of their own voice it takes forever for them to demonstrate the process.
Thank you. I am the opposite. I really can’t stand listening to my own voice…….😬
I’ve made 6 of your original designs for Christmas presents. I’m LOVING the NEW DESIGNS and that the towels are not cut! Awesome direct instructions! You make something I’d never have tried on my own…easy! Thank you for sharing your genius!!!!
I usually fast forward on tutorials because it takes the speaker too long to explain. Your voice is so calming and understandable that I watched every moment. The tutorials are wonderful, I just happened to find you. I will be back if I am around, I am 88 and have found some great gifts to make.
Thank you! 😊. So nice of you. All the best!
I have no sewing experience, and I am learning via CZcams videos. Your videos are my favorite! Your videos are so professional, and so easy to understand. Your projects are fun, useful, and I am really enjoying my new found hobby. Thank YOU!!
So glad to hear that Nancy! Have fun sewing🙏😊
I’ve made 20 of your previous towels now can’t wait until I can make more of these!
Thanks Pamela. have fun!😊
where do you find the parrttern
@@thelmacaldwell3792 : PDF pattern can be bought …see the description and click ..it takes you to her site.
Love how specific your instructions are. It's very helpful when you say "left to right", etc.!! Thank you! Towel designs are great!
You are so welcome!
I’ve made probably 40 of the original hanging towels for Christmas gifts and everyone loved them! Just made one of each of these newer versions and love them, too. The new versions are definitely quicker and require less fabric. I can’t decide which one is my favorite, lol. So glad to have all of these options. Thank you so much, Angela!
You must have a lot of friends Helen! Thanks so much for watching. I’m working on some new designs next week. Please subscribe and turn on All notifications so you don’ t miss it 😊. Have a great day!
I love the one with elastic next to the original. So simple and quick.
You only get 1 towel though. I loved the old one because I got 8 towels out of a pack of 4. However, fabric is expensive. So this might be a good trade-off.
I bought some laundry baskets and filled them jars of home canned vegetables, jellies, and jams for Christmas gifts this year. I put bowls with bowl cozies and one of your tea towels in some of them also. This has been my favorite design ever! I always disliked having to gather towels to make oven towels. Your design is awesome! Can’t wait to make all three of these new designs. Thank you!👩🌾💙🪡🧵
What nice gift baskets! Have a look at my Kitchen boa and coasters. I put those into bowl cozies as a gift set. Thanks for watching!😊
@@NotchesSewing thank you I certainly will. I tried making a boa from someone else’s instructions one time. They weren’t very easy or practical. I know your videos are always both so thanks for the tip. I’m a relatively new subscriber and have really been enjoying your videos.
They look great, and a breeze to make! Thank you
I absolutely love this tea towel design and just finished making several for Easter gifts. You have a gift for making great tutorials. You’re organized, detailed, good with the camera, and know just how much to fast forward. I’ve enjoyed this very much!
Thank you so much Mary Lou! Glad you like them😊
THESE ARE GENIUS! Simple designs customizable by whatever patterns and colors I choose. Perfect for my daughter w young kids who throw towels on the floor bc they’re too young to rehang after washing hands. Perfect for my other daughter in her new home with more bathrooms and a guest bath that needs a pretty hand towel.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SIMPLE DESIGNS AND TIPS!!
Thank you! So glad you like them. Please have a look on my channel for more towel designs etc..😊
I love the new designs Angela! You’re so smart. I made several of the original design for Christmas gifts and everyone loves them. I’ll definitely make several of the new design as well. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials. 😊
Thanks Maureen. Good to know. Have fun making. I think you will like them as they really are so easy. Cheers!
Love these. ❤️❤️❤️ After making 40 of the originals, this is so creative that I must try !!! I like that there is more toweling and less decorative fabric in this version. They are perfect scrap busters. Recipients loved them too!
Ooh, yes! Scrapbuster!! ❤
Thanks Sherry. Yes the scrapbusting…. Definitely have lots! Will design something for Easter soon. Not sure what yet 😬
Gorgeous towels and love the simplicity of making them
Glad you like them! Hope you give it a try😊
Wonderful. I love all three
Thank you! This is a sweet way to embellish and size towel. 🫖
You are so welcome! Glad you like it.😊
I love your designs! Think I'll make some for gifts. Can't wait to see more from you!
Thanks ! I have something new very soon😊
I am binge watching your tutorials 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this for Christmas gifts! One for each month would be great wedding gifts. I love having towels hanging on my oven door.
Thanks Lisa. Please have a look at my other tea towel design on my channel. I actually have another design I’ll be uploading this week. Stay tuned.😊.
I’ve made you original pattern several times for gifts and for my own personal use. Love these new ideas. I think I’ll use the first model to begin with for my valentine’s towels. You are so clever and this is a perfect video explanation.
thanks Lynn. Please check out some of my other tutorials. Cheers!
I love your new design. Can’t wait to try it.
Yay! Thank you! Hope you like it😊
These designs are easy and so awesome! The towels professional looking and so beautiful hanging. I practice the age-old custom of taking a Hostess Gift, usually a nice Tea Towel, when invited to someones home for special occasions and now I can create a very special one or two for friends and family. Thank you so much!
Glad you like them! I like that practice. I also believe you shouldn’t go empty handed. It’s even more special when the gift is made with love. Thanks for watching. 😊
I’ve made 100+ of the original towels. I haven’t made these yet. I just saw the video this morning. I had an acrylic template created on ETSY for the original pattern. It has streamlined the process so much for me. I sell the towels. They are a favorite.
So glad you like my design😊Hope you like these too. More to come
I LOVE your designs - I can’t wait to make them as presents and also for gift baskets for fundraising. People are going to love these!!
Wonderful! Please have. a look at some of my other designs on my channel. Cheers!
I had just come across your first design about 2 months ago and was very pleased not to have to do buttonholes. However the previous patterns that I had been making used a full towel, which I perferred. I found I was not able to construct with a full towel and made many for family and friends with half a towel. I prefer to have a full (double sided) towel and am very anxious to try out this method. Thank you for continuing innovating patterns. I am so pleased to have discovered your channel. Keep bringing us your new ideas!
Thank you Sandra. I actually had an update to that last tutorial to make with a full towel. czcams.com/video/wFGgxVK7l48/video.html. Please give them all a try. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.😊
Your instructions are always so clear and these towels are so nice!
Thanks so much 😊. Please have a look at my latest towel design and also a different method I have to make bowl cozies.
I absolutely love your towel design. I made the Christmas towels first and gave them to my family and friends as gifts. I told everyone I was never making another kitchen towel in any other pattern, because I really enjoyed making your Christmas towel design. But then, I see this new pattern and I can't wait to start making some Spring kitchen towels for family and friends. Thank you for teaching in a very easy to follow format :)🤗
Wonderful to hear! I’m working on a few more designs. Please subscribe and turn on All notifications so you don’t miss them. Cheers and thanks for watching😊
More pretty and useful ideas! I'm approaching all my sewing with more confidence because of your methods, helpful explanations and your professionalism. Thank you !!! 🤗 💐
Thanks Trixie! I think you’ll really like these. Actually much easier than in the tutorial as I added every step possible so it’s clear. Have fun!😀
I love your designs Angela! I’ve made your old design but can’t wait to try this way out too.
I think you’ll enjoy making these. Thanks for watching.😊
You do such a beautiful job explaining every step. I enjoy watching your creations.
Thank you so much Kathy🙏😊
The new design utilizes the entire towel which is nice if you have an embroidered design on the front. I think I prefer this design since the towel is visible above the handle. Thank you!
thanks for watching😊
I've done a little sewing through the years - nothing extravagant. I am just getting back to sewing as a hobby and am loving your tutorials! These tea towels are wonderful! I can't wait to try my hand at it.

Perfect!
I am still a novice sewer, doing simple projects and trying my hands at a bit more advanced. This is definitely in my wheelhouse and I cannot wait to make 1. project. I love all the hints you drop in as your sewing and your voice is soothing. Sounds silly but it helps to keep me relaxed as I sew. Thank you.

I just made your other design and thought it was great, but now I really wants to try these. They look even easier and require less fabric, too. Plan to make a lot for Christmas gifts. Love that they require no buttons or snaps.

YOU are a genius! I absolutely loved your tip on how to turn the fabric tube using a paper towel holder! Also, these designs are great! I can't wait to make these as well as your original hanging tea towel design to give as Bingo prizes to the women who attend our family reunion. I want to make useful, handmade prizes that won't break the budget and your ideas are perfect! Again, thank you for sharing your talents.
Thanks so much! 😊 No one ever has too many tea towels so I'm confident the winners will be happy with them. Please check out some of my other videos for more ideas. Cheers!
I had seen the previous videos and liked them. I'm glad I waited for the newer and better, didn't want to cut the towels in half.I will be making this one's soon.
Thank you Grace. You do not have to cut the earlier design as shown in this video. Just a matter of folding and treating as one layer. czcams.com/video/wFGgxVK7l48/video.html.
I’m working on a few more designs. Please subscribe and turn on All notifications so you don’t miss them. Have fun sewing!😊

Love them all
Thank you! Please have a look on my channel for more towel designs etc…🙂
Love your instructions look forward to making these!
Glad you like them! Please have a look at my other designs on my channel. Will have a new one soon. Cheers!
I love the way you made them. I've never had nice towels. Always hid in a drawer. But I'm on a total scrap buster push. I'd have to get some tea towels which seams not in line with upcycle but would reduce a lot of my scraps. And cover some Christmas presents! Might be cute with a little applique. Like a triangle imitating a Christmas tree. I was teaching sewing but then covid hit. Only a few quilters here. I'm it for basic sewing and tuning up machines. 2000 population. Retired here 5 years ago. I really want the young here to learn to sew.
Thanks so much. You could always make the tea towels if you have some cotton or linen. Fantastic that you are teaching. Please have a look on my channel for more projects😊
