Which user experience do you prefer: CZcams TV or Sling TV?
Neither. CZcams has essentially become commercialtube or adtube. If Google thinks for one minute that I'm going to pay them for the privilege of watching ad free content then they're sorely mistaken.
These streaming services aren't worth the time and money because of limited content.
I wish CZcams TV had recording options that allowed you to record just a single episode or choose between both old and new or just new episodes only. I miss having that option.
I have tried both and I prefer Sling Blue. I find the user interface much better on Sling. Best bang for the buck if you are not into sports. I use Roku Ultra.

IMO Sling TV gives me more for my buck than anything else.
The only reason why I have CZcams TV is because of the Locals and the DVR...... If Sling had some caparison, well then I'd easily switch. But I get that it costs more to carry more features.
CZcams does not have the History Channel. Westerns are also missing. My husband loves westerns. We have been with Sling since 2015. I guess we will be here for a while. Thank you for your video. ❤❤❤❤
Sounds like my dad. Loves his westerns. He got FrndlyTV for westerns, also has history channel only 11.99 a month. Cheaper if you pay annually.
With all the respect history channel is a joke. With all the fake reality shows and UFO sighting shows and Bigfoot etc . That show should be about history. I want to learn about history actually lol not pawn stars that’s a joke.😂 .
I tried Sling first then went to CZcams tv for local channels. Much better for sports, because it something run long, the adjust the live guide end time. I love being able to custom my guide and organise ones used more often.
Informative as always! Now I wish you would compare YTTV and Hulu Live TV like this. I had YTTV, but since canceled it. I need Live TV for upcoming College Football and I'm thinking of going with Hulu Live TV since I already have the Disney Bundle. I've looked a many "reviews" of Hulu Live and they are all relatively "old". I hear a lot of issues especially with the Hulu Live TV DVR. Be nice to know the latest (if any) issues you experience...since I trust you, your logical reasoning, and your set-up. Either way; I thank you for what you do!

sling TV is half the price of you tube TV working fine for me and if you get a antenna you get all you locals free I love it

I believe CZcams tv is still the force to be reckoned with. Yeah it’s expensive and yeah you don’t get History Channel or Lifetime. But I just pair it with FrndlyTv the HD version and for $80 a month I’m happy. Beats paying $140 a month for Dish Network with Less channels
It’s expensive? Compared to Xfinity or AT&T really? I mean, yeah cheaper cheaper cheaper cheaper, but let’s compare services 😂
My local stations on CZcamsTV have been randomly switching from my desired market. I don’t change anything on my account settings. I am geographically between 2 cities & this keeps happening. Any direction on how to keep my preferences set would be appreciated.
CZcams TV is a good choice for sports enthusiasts willing to pay the high price. My local teams are doing poorly this year so I dumped it. I'm loving Sling Blue. It includes History Channel live and archived. I added MGM+ and Hollywood Extra for FXM, FXX and H&I. All for $51/mo. Great UI on my LG TV albeit a little buggy. Best in class so far.

My biggest issue with sling is the constantly (without warning) user interface. In addition, it does not render captioning on some msnbc programming correctly. Like Lawrence o donnel or Stephanie Ruhl. It looks more like an Evelyn Woods speed reading contest. The captioning is fine on a fire tv stick, but continues to be problematic with any Roku device.
I recently dropped Direct TV after 16 years because they stopped carrying WGN channel 9 in Chicago which is a staple here in Chicago. None of the streaming services ever had WGN Channel 9 in their local channels guide until just recently when You Tube TV started to offer it coincidentally at the same time as NextStar and Direct TV had their contract dispute. Opting to go to You Tube TV was a no brainer because of that as well as the fact that You Tube TV now has the NFL Sunday Ticket which Direct TV also lost to them. I am paying $41.00 less per month with You Tube TV which is a huge savings. It's not all rainbows and cherries though as the Direct TV guide is far superior especially in the fact that on Direct TV the stations are numbered where on You Tube TV they are not. So you cant punch in a number and jump to a station on You Tube TV you have to save them to a library and filter through like that which is clumsy and slow. Also there is no back button on You Tube TV to easily go back to a previous station. The guide is clunky on You Tube but we are getting used to it. Its nice that you never run out of space with You Tube Tvs cloud DVR but they fall short versus Direct TV in that Direct TV a scheduler that lets you easily see what you have coming up. Also You Tube TV does not have the MLB channel or the History channel which is a bummer but for $41.00 less per month I can live with that. I real big plus with You Tube TV is the amount of TV's you can watch it on including letting other family members in other houses use it at no extra cost which is a heck of a deal. My thoughst are that since Google owns them eventually they will get the software right. Sorry for the manifesto LOL! But this subject was fresh on my mind.

Mike the one thing I WISH CZcams TV would implement is the OPTION for NEW ONLY or New & Reruns.
I am 70 years old and I get confused really bad when on my favorite shows it records both because I cannot remember which ones I have seen until it gets to a certain part and then it hits me I have seen this episode and then I move on to the next episode, rinse and repeat.

I left Sling because sometimes my episodes will not record or recording cut off. CZcams TV has the same issues now and than but because CZcams TV records reruns I'll just play the other recordings.
There are only two or three linear channels that I watch regularly, and Sling Orange has them for the cheapest price.
I prefer YTTV but the DVR needs a major update for use on Fire and Android devices. Need to be able to mark shows as watched from TV devices. Need to be able to remove or hide recordings.
The 2 things I prefer from CZcams tv over Slings live guide is the ability to rearrange your channels into whatever order you want, and too eliminate channels from being displayed in your live guide altogether.
That makes it easy too unclutter your live guide.
I hope they'll make it possible to do that from the app on your device soon.
Are you kidding me since CZcams TV updated their tv guide its now more terrible then ever before. It use to show 4 channels at on e now it's only 3 channels why. CZcams TV is getting more horrible to watch every day. I don't know what is more horrible with CZcams TV their TV Guide or their picture quality I believe it's a tie. I'm looking at switching from CZcams TV.
@@fredreed2001I noticed what you mentioned about the guide, but that has been corrected and now you can see 5 channels on it.
CZcams tv has been working on upgrading their UI, including improving their picture quality, library function and guide, so I would give them a little time to get the new stuff working properly.
At least they're improving their product in stead of just raising their price and providing nothing for it.
I have only a select number of channel on my guide when I switch the guide to FAVORITES. So I only need to scroll through about ten stations.

Can you please tell me, if we decide to go with Sling, is the Mohu antenna (60 Mile range) the best one to use for getting the most local stations/channels..? Does it really get good reception up to 60 miles away..? Thanks so much for your time and input!
I’ve not tested it 60 miles away from towers - only 30. You can call them or use their website to see the channels you should be able to pick up. I like Mohu, but the antennas can be affected by terrain and other obstructions.
@@MichaelSaves Okay thanks for your input. The Mohu antennas seem to sell quickly online, at least from what I've seen on ebay, and I believe I first noticed the brand on one of your videos.. I'll check their website to see the range of stations/channels that I could get from location. Thanks again!
2:36 CZcams TV automatic recording extending doesn't work.
I like being able to subscribe to a slim down package with Sling for less money. But if you want everything like traditional cable YTTV is the way to go.
Here I sit watching Xavier basketball on FS1. It's on Sling. So I'm paying half of what it cost me on YTTV :)
Sling sucks, The Interface is terrible. You can't search movies or shows to record. The guide has duplicate channels if you have Blue and orange. You get live tiles on the home screen, but if you scroll over them, they add them to your recently watched. And of course it's a certain news channel. The recent channels fail to load or the current ones don't update. When I go into the guide it freezes. This is on the Apple tv. That being said it's half the price of YTTV and I'm not paying $80 for tv.
Never used CZcams tv but heard mixed reviews from people who have. Tried Sling and it's good but it wouldn't let me change my package and so I cancelled it twice because of it and now it said I had to pay $92 to renew it. So I'm done with sling.

Sling has no 4k, it's barley HD

I like CZcams tv better and customer services is better.
I don't like CZcams TV because It doesn't let you customize your recording limits That's what I like about sling TV.

CZcams TV is ok but their picture quality is awful It's barely watchable most of the Time. Sling TV at least like Hulu live TV offers a better picture quality then CZcams TV has. You would think that because CZcams TV is so expensive that they would at least have a better picture quality then this like In 4K. I mean most of their channels aren't even In 1080p only still In 720p like what's up with that.

Sling is not created for
US viewers. Half the channels are foreign language incl dozens of STATE OWNED ARAB and MUSLIM religious channels. After one month I got rid of it. Audio often lags behind the video and the whole platform is problematic. It's slow, staggers and freezes.Besides being an unreliable streaming service Sling TV is not really created for American viewers. In fact it could be fairly described as an anti-US propaganda service. They boast about the # of channels but half of the are foreign language, especially MUSLIM and ARAB channels. And most of those channels are govt owned and spewing propaganda.
Sling also pack their lineup with dozens of SPANISH language channels. I lost count at 39 Spanish-speaking channels. Another dozen channels are INDIAN. Plus they carry the Chinese Communist Party owned CGTN.

Okay, this video immediately left a bad taste in my mouth. I had to pause and see what year this was made. Why? Because dude said he used a Roku Ultra like it was 2015.
Unless I'm missing something, what is the point of a Roku Ultra when there are TLC Roku TV's?
Let's not forget almost every tv people have now are smart tvs, What's the point of Roku Devices?
You can use whatever compatible device you want. I have a Samsung TV, so I use a Roku with it.

Roku, and these third party devices are fleeting technology and are only becoming more useless as the years go. It's similar to those who were still using VCR videos in the early two thousands when DVD and Blue ray was around. They figured it out though.
Next time address my question and give me pros and cons why. It's tacky enough you replied in like five seconds if at all.

The comment section, but you can hit a button and talk. People can hear the voice behind the comment. It would disable the lack of culture technology provided by making our voices monotone 😜
Roku devices are for people who don't have smart TVs or prefer the Roku interface over their existing TV (like I don't like Samsung's interface, so I use Roku). Not everyone has a Roku TV set.@@SocialStudiess
