    About this video:
The port is a named neighborhood in Cambridge, in the heart of the city, it includes Central Square and its neighborhood formerly known as Area Four. It can be confusing now that it's known as The Port because there's a separate different neighborhood of Cambridge known as Cambridge Port. In fact, I've made a video on the Cambridge Port neighborhood that you can watch on this channel, but Cambridge Port is between Central Square and the Charles River.
The neighborhood that we're discussing and looking at today, The Port is a neighborhood that includes Central Square and is bound by Massachusetts Avenue to the South, Prospect Street to the West, Hampshire street to the North, and the Boston and Albany Railroad to the East. When we think about The Port, this neighborhood, we think first and foremost about Central Square. And Central Square is the heart of Cambridge is home to a red line T station and Central Square is found at essentially the intersection if you will, of Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street, which becomes Western Avenue on the other side.
Watch the video to discover The Port, Cambridge, MA.

That Cambridge Port school opposite Market St. Is on the sight of the old FLETCHER SCHOOL that my Mom went to when she was a kid in the years of 1916 ? Her dad own a 3 family house on Market st. a block or two away from the school. That house was a cold
water flat. My brother lived in that house in the early 1960's before it was sold.
