Hey guys! I’m Brian and welcome to Becoming Brian Di! The purpose of this channel is to share some moments of my life so we can grow personal, financially and intellectually together in this next chapter of my life :)

glad that in Canada all you have to submit is your highschool report card. getting in is easy and doable for most, actually graduating and getting through the material is something else.

What do you think is the most important aspect of you’re essay which made you applicable for Yale?

I think that my essays highlighted my diverse “interests” and how I still pursued them. Kinda like focused multidisciplinary exploration…if that makes sense haha. But I’m gonna look at my admissions file at some point and see what they actually thought

what do you think the MOSt important part was of your app?

I think there are basic criteria that you have to meet (strong transcript, ECs you are interested in and gain value from) then it comes down to adding a personal element to the stats in your essays. I think the stats can’t get you in but the essays definitely can. To answer you question, Essays but AFTER you have “secured” as much of the basic criteria first

Hey unfortunately I don’t have time to give you valuable feedback. But I would say it’s best to not outsource editing a lot, ask people who know you so they can help hold you accountable for maintaining your personal voice in your essays! Be sure to check out my “Brainstorming the Application” for some more general tips!
