    You know it will be a miracle if any of these Reverse proof cents are graded PF-70. :(

    Welp, 1:10 shows why PF70's are so rare. For 1:21 shows so much metal in contact with the cents while they travel. All of this guiding components could've easily been made from materials that wouldn't scratch the surfaces.

    Just got our annual Silver Proof set last week, was very Impressed with the Cent!!! But a little strange that it's sent loose in the box. Grant you it's in thin plastic holder, Wish it was in the envelope. 👍

  • @raginggamer2109
    @raginggamer2109 Před 4 lety +2

    I'm not to concerned about how they handle the free W pennies. You have to remember they are producing hundreds of thousands of these pennies not a small amount. If they had to handle each blank with the most care they wouldn't be able to offer for free. Now, if they only had a limited amount I would care.

    Just got one for this year's christmas, and I'd say although the packaging is......... less then decent, but the coin looks well, could have an 68 or higher here, one of the better cared ones.

    Are there any ball-park figures on how many of this year's silver proof sets have been put together and sold so far? For the ones who don't know, the reverse proof cents in this video are being made only for them

    are the planchettes the proofs are struck from still 95% copper & 5% tin (bronze) or are they the plated zinc like circulating pennies?

    • @USMINT
      @USMINT  Před 5 lety +1

      Good question. According to the specification chart on our catalog site, you can see that proof pennies are 2.5% copper and the balance zinc: catalog.usmint.gov/silver-proof-set-2019-19RH.html
