Salutations kin. If you find yourself watching this for credential or training as treatment, please dont hold this nonsense on a pedestal! You don't need some certificate of competence, even if it is necessary to learn theory and models. To revoke someones "licence" because they study Jung is shameful, why not employ your own theories since you're an expert

I think you have misunderstood the example given. The context seems to be that a student on a person-centred counselling course was attempting to provide a service to clients utilising a different theoretical base which was not part of the student's course and which they were reading from a book. In this circumstance it is entirely reasonable that a fitness to practice letter is revoked until the student understands the need to work within their competence and utilise the theory base in which they are being trained and agrees to do so. If I have understood the example correctly the revoking, perhaps temporarily, of the student's fitness to practice letter is ethical not shameful.
