  • So I love Astrophotography and shooting landscapes, this Lens is the Rokinon 10mm f/2.8 Canon EF mount and it is absolutely stellar!

I have the Samyang equivalent of this lens, It's awesome for astro and wide landscapes, If I recommended any lenses for APS-C it would be
    Samyang/Rokinon 10mm f2.8 or Sigma 18-35 f1.8
    Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4
    Canon 55-250mm Mii f4-5.6 or Sigma 150-600mm
    Canon 50mm f1.8 STM
And you've basically got the best APS-C Body/Lens combo there is, Kitted to a 90D is the current best-in-slot. But I currently use the 80D. :) Great showcase, thanks.

SamWiseAgape yeah I believe Samyang owns Rokinon🤔 which is why their lenses look identical but it could be the other way around, for the price they’re phenomenal lenses! I’d love to snag a sigma lens in the future but right now I have a pretty good variety of lenses for everything including 2 Canon 50mm f/1.8 and f/1.4 oddly enough I still enjoy using the 18-55 kit lens it always comes in handy

Can this be used with a Nikon D610?

They have one Specifically for Nikon Cameras!... although there are probably adapters for Nikon cameras to Canon EF mount lenses...

Jordan Handwerker thank you so much for you timely response! Would you choose this 10mm or the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 strictly for astrophotography?

You’re most welcome! In all honesty yes, while each are good enough for Astro the wider the better in my opinion, with canon the Crop for APS-C sensors is X1.6 so my 10mm is a 16mm Equivalent, I believe Nikons X1.5 so a 15mm equivalent. I’m actually going to be looking into an 8mm fish eye strictly for Astro myself! But that may still be a little down the road. All in All I’d choose the 10mm
