Searching for Treasure around a 1700's Colonial Foundation

- Mark hooked us up with 2 New Permissions! This day Mark, Gary, and I tried them out. The first was a 200 year old farm house with surrounding farm fields. The second was the ruins of a 1700's colonial home with surrounding farm fields. Gary pretty much jinxed the first spot with a copper almost immediately (we didn't find much after that). The second spot had great potential. We found some old relics right away! We worked it until we ran out of light. Mark had the find of the day with an awesome silver coin!

Love the idea! My girl spins my hobby as "the most inefficient way to recycle aluminum" and once stated that "in his spare time he deals in neglected semi-precious metals acquisitions." Which is a rather floofy lie for a statement thats technically true, and her girly-friends seemed impressed, which thinking about it was probaby the point. Any-how, we are stoked to find wheat cents here in Idaho, a precious few silvers from the 1890s in our collection, and if we find more than $4 taco money its been a great day. Love seeing you all finding actual relics and treasure!

Good morning Hoover and Mark. Good finds. I just got my very first Metal detector. I'm 51. I had a crappy one when I was young but I got a garrett 300, only one I could afford but it should be just fine.
Got the same one, it's good as long as you are not on the beach(salt specifically)
That seated half dime had a M mint mark the M is for Muck lol nice hunt fellas

It probably says COPY (not COIN) at the bottom of that coin with the primitive looking picture. Maybe a copy of an old Roman coin or something like that. Keep up the awesome vids guys!
Better then a sharp stick in the eye! Or in my case , swamp dirt /water in my eye and now I have an infection in my eye so I have to wear my glasses for a few days ugh...gonna be interesting metal detecting with my glasses on today lol! Still kept me entertained! 😊

Wow! A half dime with "muck" counter-stamp monogram! I've got SEVERAL counter-stamp and double-struck items too 😅 👍
Digging frozen ground managed to almost completely obliterate both sides off of an old silver quarter. It would have definitely been prominent in my top-finds case, and its only recognizable by its reeded edge and a couple letters. 😢
Well, it just shows that not everyday is full of coins. That strange coin I believe says Copy and looks Celtic or Roman. Even kissed, that half dime was sweet. Thanks!

Buttons certainly ruled the day, but the BHLC and Seated half dime were very sweet. EVen when the days aren't as productive as you'd hope, just being out there sharing laughs with your friends, can't beat it!

your play coin is a Julius Caesar Roman Empire Copy. I had heard that national geographic sent these out in the 1930s in the center of their magazine article about the roman empire. They all have copy stamped in them, and you an still get them today over in the UK.

My wife and I have been detecting for about 7 years. She found a silver coin but I still haven't. I have found them on seeded hunts but not natural.
