  • Welcome to my all new 'How To' series, focused on a tutorial based video setup, all new for 2022! In this video, I'll be showing you how simple it is to make a standard Scenario for Train Simulator 2022 and includes the following:
    - Setting up the Scenario (Weather/Time of Day/Description)
    - Adding a Player Train and setting this up with route
    - Adding AI passenger traffic and setting up their route(s)
    - Adding 'Blockers' to simulate being held at Signals
    - Adding people into the scenario to enhance the realism
    Lots, if not most, of what you need to know is covered in this helpful guide! Do let me know if you do have any other queries though.

    This is great!
    I want to make a train run ahead of me, but it gives me error saying they share same line.
    Then I tried putting AI train ahead, in the next signal block, it runs, but if I want to stop it (just to simulate red signal for us to show how busy it is), it gives error. Any lua script or anything by which I can do it?

    • @lmsimulation413
      @lmsimulation413  Před 9 měsíci +1

      There isn’t a script you can buy unfortunately. TS has its limitations with AI and it isn’t prototypical like real life unfortunately. In order to show a red, I often use a ‘Invisible Blocker’ loco rather than a train and this will occupy a platform until a certain time to simulate the red signal being shown to the driver outside the station. In terms of following trains, if you set your priority to ‘Stopping Passenger’ and the AI you are following to ‘Express Passenger’ it should work then, although that is not a perfect system. Best of luck.

    Do you know how to add headboards from other locos without them just floating when the loco moves?

    • @lmsimulation413
      @lmsimulation413  Před 2 lety

      Headboards are supplied as part of locomotive textures and therefore can only be applied on the relevant loco that they come with, usually applied via changing the loco number in the scenario editor. If you apply them via any other means, they are simply static objects and as you say, do not attach onto locomotives. There is no other way to achieve this, and it is a limitation of the game design.

      Hi Jamie! It should be very simple, you simply select the driver icon on the player train in the editor and there should be a line to set the destination. Simply press the button, then go to the 2D Map (9 Key) and go the place on the map you wish to set the destination to, and click on the siding or platform and this should create a route for your train from its current position to this location.

    • @lmsimulation413
      @lmsimulation413  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, this isn’t really a feature embedded in the TS software unfortunately. You would have to set a start and end location but put the same instructions in maybe 10+ times, although that could cause the game to throw errors as it won’t understand what you are trying to achieve. It’s not very user friendly, and features like this, although useful, are omitted owing to the game’s age.

    I probably have a 5% success rate when it comes to scenarios, And by that I mean 95% of what I start is either unfinished, or I'm not happy with the finished result so I don't upload it or share it in any way, most recently an MoD train from Plymouth to Taunton, just wasn't really happy with the finished product so I'm not going to upload it

    • @lmsimulation413
      @lmsimulation413  Před rokem +1

      I am genuinely unsure what your point is? If you create scenarios and then decide to scrap them, what is the point in making them? If it helps, for me, I make scenarios that I know I want to accomplish and drive, so there is always a drive to finish - that is unless the game crashes and corrupts the scenario halfway through building (happens more than you think). I say keep going, purposely decide on a scenario that peaks your interest and you will find that the drive to want to finish comes much easier!
