Do you do any kind of rust prevention on the exposed gas tank support rails before you weld the new trunk pan down. I wouldn't think you would just weld down on exposed metal.....what about some weld through paint or primer?

lol i just finished restoring my trunk lol.. just primed the entire trunk pan to the rear backseat area with like 3-4 primer coats, gona smooth it up, got the gas tank pan area caulked, the area the gas tank edges sit on in my 62 falcon, did about 1 inch by 1/4 a inch of high build caulking, then used a putty knife to flaten it the besti could, turned out nice, not sure to put another layer on or not... probably not...i think it got flattened pretty nice

I agree, great job. I looked for a vid like this to say that if you buy a trunk floor with multi layers. That is the shock braces, and boxed under are there. Don't plan on doing that with out your car being a skeleton or cutting the new piece into it's various pieces via spot weld drilling. easily 8 hours in getting the original out without destroying the rear body panel and inner wheel wells. This vid is a much easier fix if you don't need what I mentioned. Love the vid and thumb up but be WARNED of that big heavy multi layer boxed $350 trunk floor. It is much more and I wouldn't not do one for less than $1500. Maybe never again....

Reckon I better invest in your videos. My 68 Cam is pretty rusted out in the trunk and I might be better off building a jig to keep everything aligned since I'll need to replace a lot of metal. She was a rollover that was repaired by a body shop years before I bought her in 1984. I'm hoping that they made sure she was straight but looking at the job they did I have to wonder. Might be money ahead taking it to a shop to have it checked out. She has lots of options but just a regular RS 327 /PG.

When is the shopping cart going to be working again on your website? I'm trying to order at least 3 of your videos, but can't. Is there anywhere else I can order them from? Or any other way to buy? Trying to give you money here!
