Thanks for the review... Very well done! I got mine today. I ordered it without a receiver and Happynodel is so with it, they have a tiny JST already soldered on to the FC so we can just solder the opposite end to my receiver of choice and simply plug it in! Very, very nice! No taking the whole quad apart, and with the Turtle V2, it's pretty tightly packed under the canopy. So, not having to take it all apart, solder on to those pin head size solder pads, and figure out which of those microscopic pads are the correct ones to use, is pretty damn nice! 👍
Out off all the who0p manufacturers, IMO Happymodel has their act together the most! Quality, well designed, products! 😊👌🤘

I ended up putting a Frsky R-XSR receiver in mine to eliminate the issue with poor range. And, I get diversity! I'm actually surprised more people don't buy it that way. I ordered a separate Crazybee F4 Pro V2 FC and did the same thing. Hasn't it always been best to not get FC's with built in receivers? I think it has, so why not with this one too?!!! ;)

I loved My Mobula7 HD, Great video in a Small package.
Here is a list of the issues starting with the biggest.
First
The flight control burns out AND BIG time very easily compared to the Mobula7. So I had this Quad for about ½ day and I crashed trying to do a slow speed flip through though a Y in the Tree in my backyard. I disarmed and let the quad come to a stop on the ground. Died FC. burnt out ESC. I than bought a second FC. So this one I baby and almost the same thing happens. Except this time the ESC locks closed and trys to smoke the whole quad. The battery lead got so hot it melted.
Second
The wires for the Camera, Well all the wires are right at the tip of the prop. So yes I crashed and it ripped out 2 of the wires for the camera. Simple fix welder glue in a thin sheet of plastic. This way the prop just bounces of the plastic. But the manufacture should have done this!
Third
The battery connector is coming straight out of the back. because of this the battery wires have to be even longer. It just needs to be shouldered on at a 90. Almost any solution would be better than more floppy wiring!
Fourth
The battery holder is way to tight. should have option for this with a few different holders that swap out.
Fifth
The camera controls cable is just flopping about. it needs a place to be or make it so it plugs in through the side of the canopy. Anything but please try harder.
Sixth,
The VTX Antenna is also flopping about. they made a clip location that does nothing with out glue. So thats what I did. I glued it in place. I also used this to tuck the camera controls cable in.
Seventh
DATE AND TIME; Please add a small battery to the Recoding system. It would be huge to have the files auto add the Date and time. The file naming system should be based on this.
Eighth

I like this Quad I don't have the others like it. But from watching the reviews on the others I think it still might be the best.
The main problem here is the lack of attention to detail.
Way to many little things are missed.
Rapid fire is a perfect example. (Clearview who)

Joshua, I’ve been out of the hobby for a couple years and just bought an analog Mobula 8 and a crossfire nano rx with the micro immortal t antenna. I have a Taranis qx7 and Fatshark Dominators with a True D Furious FPV module that I kept after selling all my drones a couple years ago. Would you be able to point me towards a walkthru to set this all up? I feel like I have forgotten everything I learned during my years flying FPV and I would prefer to use one source of content to get back up to speed. Since you are the FPV Know It All, I am hopeful that you can help me!

Hi Joshua, since the onboard Frsky receiver has lockup issue and I really like the telemetry function. Do you think that it's possible to disable onboard receiver and install Frsky RXSR receiver ? Will the R-XSR works normally with telemetry on in D16 mode?

Hi! first of all, I am a really big fan of your channel, big respect. I'm just starting out with something not being DJI, I own dsm2/dsmx transmitter. If I order Mobula 7 hd from aliexpress or God help me from somewhere in Europe for what I wont have to wait for 2 months,... will I get some serious range out of dsmx dsm2 protocol or is this just garbage? I will use Mkron rc hobby T-i6 DSMX 6 channel. What can I expect? I'm in doubt, please help me out

You need HD recording so I guess the Mob6 HD but really you want a Cinewhoop.
I think you should mention bout the first batch problem, bought my first one and the ESCs burnt, the website says the first batch have problems with overheating that could cause the boards burnt and also the 10000kv motor from the 1st batch did caused the ESCs to burn and toast the FC
They do give the tweaking method to limit the throttle to 75% but it’s too late, i already burnt 2 units and one of them have faulty camera cable for the caddx turtle, apparently the cable is not very durable

Did you use a special tool for setting up the camera and OSD?
I used the 3S battery that came with it but I can't find another version of that exact battery to test with.
Just bought a mobula 7hd as my first cinewhoop . It looks a little different from the one you reviewed . Black props and reshaped canopy. Did they tweak it a bit after this review?

The inductrix fpv plus has turtle mode. I have my arm switch on a momentary switch and when its upside down I tap the arm switch and bam flips over

Hi Joshua ! I have the Mobula hd from a week , have you ever notice if yours is with loose props like mine ? As of today I find a lot of people with this model with the same problem.That is a big deal for the front props that if loose a couple of mm will break into to the camera chassis ...😫I hope it’s only a low quality propellers issue ...

INCORRECT!! My brushed inductrix fpv+ will turtle mode from the factory. You CAN turtle with brushed motors.

Man, this review was from a loooong time ago, lol. Anyhoo, I have one of these, but it's the 2023 version. It's also FrSky version with SPI. After watching your video, I tried everything you suggested. Turn telemetry off, bind in D8 mode (which it already was), and all the camera suggestions as well. The problem I'm having is that it keeps losing telemetry when only about 15ft away and then falls to the ground. I've tried everything I can think of including everything you suggested in this video, but still falls to the ground with virtually no range at all. I noticed that in this video you said to go to betaflight and in the "configurations" tab, turn off "telemetry." In my betaflight version that button is in "receiver" tab, and I found nothing about telemetry in the configurations tab. I turned that off in "Receiver", but it did nothing for my range. Am I missing something? I cannot even fly the quad because it has no range. Any suggestions? Please and thank you in advance.

Hello I have a problem with the iflight turbobee 77R. The Copter accelerate alone and I can't stop it. I can only stop the Copter by disarm.
The Copter is brand new and used the first time.
I am a videographer and have a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone. I would like to use a small drone to get some tight shots, not possible with a larger drone.
I would like to be able to integrate the video footage from both drones. Which small drone has the best camera?
Picked up two of these and both burst into flames within 6 packs. They were great right up until that point.
Do the motors and camera add some weight to it or is that all battery weight.
Everyone that has this drone should check their video out cable pin connections at the vtx 1st if they have any vtx problems.
I had many undue crashes due to this and was pretty hard on the little bugger until I finally found this.

Fets are not rated for 3s voltage , they will fail sooner or later

PMB doesn't really feel good on the HD. Nick's tune is the best that I've found so far - just adjust rates to your liking.
Great work but still cannot get my mob 7 to bind to my qx7 has crazy bee f4 pro v2 with a xm pluss reciever have had it now for 3 months and have exhausted all research possibilities to try and get in the air so many times it nearly became a pattern of my shoe tread pattern grrr . No wonder so many people dip there toesinto the hobby and can’t get a little toy to work and give up …. I fly a armattan badger and really want something to fly indoors when rains . I’ll be so angry with myself if I endup smashing it in frustration !!!! Help meeeeee

I’m having a problem with my mobula7 hd I crashed didn’t do any damage to the frame but now I have blackout and no osd. I thought it might be the vtx bought a replacement and still same blackout out video. I tried the turtle on another quad and it’s fine. Do you think it could be the flight controller?

Great review and very revealing about why or why not to get this bird! One question though: At 10:39 you said the random lockup caused the crash due to binding in D16 with telemetry on and that D8 fixes it for you. However, did you rebind it in D8 with telemetry on or off? I have recently heard that D16 set for 8 channel with telemetry off also works, what's your take? Just curious since you still showed RSSI so not sure if you changed it.
This bug has been a real pain for me so much so that I would never risk flying over a tree or anything like your tadpole pond for the fear of getting slammed from the air at that moment. Right now I'm running in D8 with telemetry off but still get the random drop occasionally. The random drops and/or telemetry lost/telemetry recovered bug(s?) have been so freaking annoying and takes away from what these could be. Also, are these the same bug or different? I am meaning, the random drop/fail-safe along with the telemetry lost/recovered bug. It's really interesting to see this happen while in the BetaFlight receiver configuration tab and watch it in the graph, each "glitch" varies in duration and intensity. So bizarre.
You can use D16 with telemetry off, or you can use D8 with telemetry on, but D8 telemetry is not as good as D16 smartport.

Hi there, I have a mobula 7 and it wil not bind at all no matter what i have tried. Also the modes section does not work in betaflght. it freezes and then i have to disconnect for anythting to react. any sugestions.

Please make an update video on the problems of this quad: Burnt ESCs (and the 75% throttle curve required on 10K Kv motors) and the Yellow screen of death in the cameras... Both of these things happened to my M7HD in the first 2 flights. Hopefully, HappyModel and Caddx will replace both the FC and the camera board for free. They have good customer service.

Build a toothpick with your beta parts , maybe get the 1103 Motors from beta otherwise its just frame and prop swap
I have two pairs of RS1106ll 6000kv, fullspeed 1104 7500kv, and king Kong before LDARC XT1104 7500kv so I'm set for motors, but now all I need is money. Long story short. Parent have past away, Me & my brother selling family farm, then out of nowhere my cousin who doesn't own any part of the farm has sued me and my brother and anyone else who is involved with the sale is being sued for $500,000 and this is the 3 year it's been going on.
Regarding the blackouts in the DVR recording. Have you done the DVR firmware update that IRC put together to help support RapidFIRE?
It's supposed to kill those blackouts *and* apparently it also records through static without losing frames, which means it's now much easier to sync DVR and HD footage.
This is an external DVR not the internal one in the Fat Sharks. But that DVR upgrade is excellent.
I have the turtle v1 and felt like the latency was terrible. Is it any better in the V2?
