  • Jewel’s story of fame and success starts with an abusive household and a stint of homelessness, combined with all the anxiety and negativity that you would expect from those beginnings. But her story takes an unexpected turn when she shares the way she overcame all of that negativity.

Wow the first fake goof as you put it that came to my mind is Donald Trump and how so many fall for his personal agenda and believe he actually gives a crap about any of us and our country. It's sad and so much like how people follow him like a cult as they continue to believe in the dreams because they don't understand what an extreme narcisist truly is. Even with plenty of proof of his lies, deceit, misinformation and lack of empathy, guilt, remorse or love. Mindfulness not only in ourselves but in allowing ourselves to be mindful of others who only will bring harm to us.

I was a big Jewel fan in the 90s, as a teenager. And then, like so many fair weather fans, I moved on to the next artist. How amazed, then, was I to have this interview suggested on my feed! Not only did Jewel bring back all the feels (I've been revisiting her music in between heavy aha moments on this interview; her music is so much richer than I remembered!), but this message was EXACTLY what I needed to hear today!

This is incredibly powerful. King David wrote, "Who will ascend to the mountain of heaven, and who will stand in that exalted place? One with clean hands and a pure heart." I'm barley 17 minutes in, and Jewel has been one of the most informative guest so far. I love how generous she is sharing her insight and keeping it simple. Some other guest are too busy liking the sound of their voice. Jewel offers a lot of self discovery and awareness experience. I am the same way, just not as bright as she is. She and I would enjoy talking for hours about our realizations. I like her organized approach to mapping all the meaningful connections. Good job. Thank You Jewel, you truly are a beautiful Jewel.

    Jewel's measurement of change
    1. Transformation: What gives form to what we are looking at. We must understand its nature. We must feel motivated to transform it into something else. This is where we identify where you are and where you want to go.
    2. Transformation: This is the initiation of energy. It requires sacrificing the energy of what you want to change so you can get to the next step. Sacrifice is an essential part. We must sacrifice an old belief, an old concept, breakdown an old paradigm, let go of the illusions. We have to break it down or digest what we are changing so it can become something else. This is where we put new concepts into action. If we have a new understanding and don’t act on it, if we don’t use it, it creates inner conflict. We must act on knowledge to transform it into wisdom. What you don’t give birth to destroys you. We can’t sit on a new understanding and not act on it. If we don’t take the energy in, absorb it and break it down, it will create a conflict and make you unhappy. Once we breakdown old beliefs, we can become pregnant with different ideas. If we don’t take time to give them space in our lives to have a good birth and transmute that energy, it will create a deep conflict and we won’t change. The less judgement we hold, the more we can transmute. Try to see through clear eyes letting go of dogmas and paradigm and experiences as energy for what they are. The more we can perceive and sacrifice programmed attachments to the ideas we are examining and letting go off, the more we can transmute them to be open to a new way of seeing or thinking. When we don’t get rid of four perceptions and old ideas, it creates a blind spot and keeps us from changing.
    3. Transcending: Viewing a situation with new eyes; becoming open and seeing new paths. When we alter our perceptions, free of old dogmas and paradigm, it opens new pathways before us. We can take new pathways that changes our trajectory. This is where we use intention to set a new path that allows us to transcend our past experiences. It is entirely possible to change so foundationally that our old stories and traumas no longer trigger us. It becomes a part of a story of your life that no longer influences where you go next. When we transcend something, we are no longer in relation to it. It no longer has power over us. We are at liberty to go where we want to go.

I agree 100%. I believe it is all a matter of practice...You may not Master it completely, but it gets much better with time. When you observe your thoughts and direct them to think better thoughts, your entire world will change. 'A belief is just a thought you keep on thinking, change your thought - change your belief' (Abraham Hicks) When you finally change your belief, your new experiences reflects it. I hope this makes sense.

I so much agree with her. I grew up in a dysfunctional marriage, my parents were incompatible and my sister and me suffered each and every explosive argument they had. There was a lot of verbal abuse between them and later in life, in my thirties i learned my dad had had an affair and ready to leave us when we were little. It broke my heart in pieces and i started not trusting anybody around me and even sabotaging my own relationships in fear of being cheated on. It took a lot of self work and therapy to forgive him but when i did, i was not taking sides, i was not condoning his behaviour, i didnt forget what he did in my mind, i just truly accepted the fact that my dad didnt have the skills to do things better, i accepted that he was an old man and i wanted him in my life and i forgave him, but i didnt do it for him, i did it for myself because having a bitter heart and hate somebody is exhausting and useless. He passed in just three weeks to lung cancer last november. It was very painful because i live far from my family, in Shanghai, but i was so relieved i had forgiven him and even built a new relationship with him as we both were getting older. Hope this helps to somebody suffering or having difficulties to forgive, dont do it for them, do it for you, ❤️

@rawbirbella justthat I would be happy with that as a solution. Or he can comment but as an individual but not a channel. Or the channel has to have a decent number of subscribers say over 5,000 or a similar number to the one its commenting on. This would stop attention leeching. CZcams does have guidelines for this sort of things. At the moment he just about scrapes past them. But i think things will change. Its becoming a real problem. The comment section of these kind of videos (personal development where channels have low barriers to entry, i.e any moron can become a self proclaimed guru) is become a mess of self promotion under the guise of"advice". The advice is rarely well thought through and barely relates to the video and almost never to specific points in the video. Suggesting that a lot of these channels don't watch the video. Some like Ossein Just repeat the same comment over and over again until people like it.
It just abuse of the comments section and ruins it for everybody. You are not allowed to do unwanted product adverts in the comment section and channel adverts shouldn't be allowed either

@rawbirbella justthat He comments on pretty much every Impact theory video. The advertisement is implicit not explicit. If it was just one comment i would agree with you. He isnt spreading useful information on Impact theory videos to help people, nor is he saying how good the video is giving thanks. nor is he pointing to key points i nthe video he wants to build his channel specifically. You can tell by the fact that the sentiment of his comment actually doesnt really make sense if you actually watch the video all the way through. Its generic advice derived from the title and desprition and his assumptions. I think there is a 5% chance hes watched it all the way through.
Hes similar (but not as bad as Ossien)
Now please go through the comments and find he has posted the same comment exactly twice. One three hours after the other. he litterally just copied and pasted. I wrecked him on his first comment so he did it again. These self proclaimed gurus are poison. Ignorant fools with no qualifications or understanding of the subject matter with too much arrogance to actually study. They are the last people you or anyone should be taking advice from. They are snake oil salesmen IMO.

@rawbirbella justthat In fact in addition to my other comment, To save you from looking through the other just check out the following to see why i have a problem with these "gurus" (to be fair Jaxx isnt as bad as Ossein) :

All feelings are natural - anxiety is a prolonged strenuous psychological imbalance that can be caused through overthinking snd constantly worrying
If the alarm goes off, then we have to make adjustments.

You idiot. Anxiety isn't caused by "overthinking snd constantly worrying" Hahah You are so wrong
Those things are a symptom of anxiety not the other way around.
You really are an arrogant fool that just writes down utter garbage for clicks on any video you happen to come accross.
      You are human spam.
For a start there are multiple types of anxiety often as catagorised as follows:
Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) A person feels anxious on most days, worrying about lots of different things, for a period of six months or more. ...
      Social anxiety. ...
      Specific phobias. ...
      Panic disorder. ...
      Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) ...
      Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Secondly the anxiety manifests in multiple ways
restlessness, and a feeling of being “on-edge”
      uncontrollable feelings of worry
      increased irritability
      concentration difficulties
sleep difficulties, such as problems in falling or staying asleep
Now thats just beginning to understand what anxiety is.
You said "If the alarm goes off make adjustment"? Again another weak almost meaningless statement. You could have said something like " the symptoms of anxiety can be helpful signals to encourage positive change"
While we are hear we may as well round of the subject with something useful ..
      Some causes of anxiety:
overactivity in areas of the brain involved in emotions and behaviour
      (not "overthinking"!!haha)
an imbalance of the brain chemicals serotonin and noradrenaline, which are involved in the control and regulation of mood
the genes you inherit from your parents - you're estimated to be five times more likely to develop GAD if you have a close relative with the condition
having a history of stressful or traumatic experiences, such as domestic violence, child abuse or bullying
having a painful long-term health condition, such as arthritis
having a history of drug or alcohol misuse
      To treat anxiety:
"psychological therapy- such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
medication - such as a type of antidepressant called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)
There are also many things you can do yourself to help reduce your anxiety, such as going on a self-help course, exercising regularly, stopping smoking and cutting down on the amount of alcohol and caffeine you drink.
With treatment, many people are able to control their levels of anxiety. However, some treatments may need to be continued for a long time and there may be periods where your symptoms worsen."
I don't understand why you expect people to master their minds with you.
      ------------------------------------------
      Anyway
I don't stand for it. They need correcting and calling out for their ignorance and lack of understanding of the subject matter. They have no respect for their audience. No truth, no integrity . Absolute poison. They just want you to click.

Whoa! Can't wait to read her book, she's such an amazing performer & human! I always have mad respect who have fought & coming from meager circumstances & fight their way to the top. I think that she's missing the point of affirmations though. It's not declaring hopes, it's declaring, it IS, and you can slowly but surely re-wire your brain & thinking with them, just like her "speaking the truth" that's what affirmations are! You are AFFIRMING your TRUTH. Thanks for keeping the inspiration alive Tom, especially during this challenging time..
