And he drives some pretty sweet trucks. Gotta love those hard to find classic 4 doors, they have need to be survived by a hard working dude needing a good hard working truck.
Hey Buckin! Connecticut, east coast US here! Sorry I missed the live feed. Made friends with an arborist the other day, they dropped a load of giant maple rounds some about 45 inches around. Thanks for showing me how to hand file my own chain! Also running a 24 in bar on my Echo 60cc. Your advice & experience had made all the difference in my firewood cutting! You're positive outlook on life and living is contagious! "Wink and a nop, friend!" Thanks looking forward to more great stuff!
Love to all. Hope all is well. plenty of vitamin D today Buckin . Love all the axes especially the Tua tahi. Bought a SOLO chainsaw yesterday at estate sale . Old saw have you seen one. Welcome newbs and thanks to the sc ers. Be kind and keep a 😀 on your dial. Love from aussie
Buckin', I've been motivated by you to refurbish my Mum's Homestead hatchet that she was using to split kindling on the day she died 26 years ago. You have taught me so much in the last couple months, and I thank you. God has blessed me by letting me find your channel. Stay safe and keep on spreading the message!!!
LOOK At all those FREAKING BEAUTIES !!!! OMG Billy !!! - Thanks for influencing my axe collecting as you have. I am tickled pink to say I have a True Temper Kelly Works coming that I bought off ebay 5 days ago and its SIX FREAKING POUNDS !!!! AND its got PHANTOM BEVELS :)
Hey bucking I reckon it's time to invest into a clip on microphone that way you don't have to yell and we don't have to keep changing the volume, it would be perfect for alot of your content I think, pretty sure you can get small ones that will clip onto your collar and be out of the way
Hi Buckin, you aren't nuts brother, nearly all my new Swedish axes bind up tight in the wood. I recently hung one of my dad's old (1800 s) axe heads. It is short and fat with a slight convex profile.. A totally different animal intirely. I really hope you get a good smithy for your axe design . Aw tha best buddy 👍
I see that X27 fiakars hiding behind the tree. Tuatahi, Plumbs, Kelly's, Tassie's among other hand forged iron.....and then the plastic special behind the 🌲. Busted. I'm not proud to admit it but I have one too. 😂
HA HA IT WAS A GIFT . AND THE FELLA WHO GAVE IT TO ME WAS SO KOOL ,, HE ACTUALLY SAID BUCKIN' WHEN PEOPLE COME TO SWING AXE WITH YOU , NOW YOU CAN GIVE THEM THIS .. LOLOL HAHAHAHA AND I DO ..
*Team long bar 100%.* Our trees out here are the biggest on Earth, even second growth gets huge. Buckin', your West Coast is showing my friend. 😎 Cheers, brother!
Hey buddy you are making this world a little bit better with every one of your videos you do. Wish you a very good rest of your day and keep makin them chips bud. Also i dont know what you charge for an axe but im sure its more than worth it
That double has a really rounded bit, which leaves less contact material to stick in the first place. A guy just rocks it right on out. Pretty easy math. All good axes in their own way. You can keep the Fiskars pos tho!
G'day Buckin n friends, using an axe is perfect for social distancing if you were walking down the street carrying that Tua Tahi I'm sure people would keep their distance 😜👍.
Lovin' yer ramblin edutainment Buckin'! Hey, I came across a head with ridges inside the eye! Looks wicked! You done a vid on hangin' one of those? Anything you gotta do to get them ridges to work properly? It's a Kelly True Temper Tasman pattern! Keep 'er goin!
@Buckin'. Can you get a axe head that does and doesnt stock in the same picture. Maybe on your shop bench so we can talk about the differences in detail? I think the profiles are so close on quick glance its hard for the average guy like me to see the difference.
Bucking do you know about KLY7 Hultafors it's what i find best for firewood they have done something different so it's not getting stuck i hope you can use some of they technology for you'r project
i cut lumber on a portable woodmizer over on the east coast, all the parts of the tree that dont turn into boards goes into firewood. it sure is nice to have some weight to bust through the knotty stuff. Love your viedos Buckin, keep up the great work.
Splitting wet pine Douglas firr straight grain, it's like a wet dream I wish! I hate these yahoos on CZcams splitting straight Grain wood thinking their Superman. Well hate is such a strong word I don't hate.
Sorry Buckin, but live vids will all be skipped by me for several reasons - 1. My timezone doesn't allow realtime participation due to major timezone difference 2. I am more interested in doing rather than talking, especially doing in the field 3. They are usually far too long and I just don't have that time available Have fun with them.
