I think your Senegal is just the smartest and cutest bird. He’s quieter than my dearly departed cherry head conure was when he was young. He was my close companion for 34 years before he passed. He taught me so much about what it’s like being a bird. We were so bonded that when he started to pass, he wanted only to be on my lap or my chest gently preening me and letting me gently preen him. He could only really move his head near the end but he would wait for my eyes to open expecting him to be gone, but he would look at me and start to preen his chest. I think he just didn’t want to leave me. I had to hire a blessed mobile vet who had the meds and I had his weight. He slipped away seconds after giving it to him. All he knew was his head was in my hand and I was right there with him telling him how much I loved him and how I’d be following him. I still miss him terribly but I will never forget him. 💔🦜😢
