I knew it was either gonna be cole or Joslin, but cmon a ghetto bird down Hollywood 16 and a biggerspinflip down Santa Monica doesn't deserve bronze medal. Even though Joslin didnt do rails you can not take away those are legendary spots and he did nbds on them. Congrats Cole. Personally Joslin is a winner in my book.

about the rules - Paul was right. Skateboarding does not fit the competition format. It's about tricks. It's never been about doing everything on your first try. never. we want to see the best skaters in the world doing the best and most creative tricks and lines, not taking a pop-quiz. All those things make street skateboarding. That's my opinion, I agree with PRod. So, I guess we still do need some more videos until skateboarding is understood by mainstream sports. Keep up the good work X Games and SLS.
James Stortz except skate competitions have been around since the 70s. Longer than what we call 'street skating.' down playing the importance of competitions in skateboarding is slapping our history in the face.
i just mean it's not fair for fans or competitors who can't truly shine in a competition that's not formatted for the sport. it's like putting Shakespeare in a spelling bee. I mean Chaz Ortiz was out there in a cast -- what other sport is like street skateboarding? It's not about 60 second runs -- you try and you fail until you succeed. It's a different kind of game.

i feel like when they were talking about ishod they were comparing him to himself and not to the other parts...he threw it down..but damn..joslins tricks (the pro model i ride so im biased) and tiago...such bangers...but i feel like they didnt give ishod enough credit
Joslin won hands down in my opinion. The fact he did not win was strictly based on self interest or interests.
You can't just find loads a big stair sets and call it a street part, there were some mind blowing tricks but the lack spot/trick variety bored me to death. Plus the filming was terrible, Joslin was cut out of the shot half the time

My two fave parts were Wilson & Joslin - personally very excited to see Cole win, as Joslin's part is well jaw-dropping, but he's so good it feels like cheating almost. I think he'll get the credit he deserves for that part (maybe even SOTY), but it's hard to argue that Cole Wilson came up with super solid one as well. Additionally, his skating style & editing of the clip are both very toy machine like, which I'm really digging. Happy to see him win, in my book well-deserved!

Cole's part was phat but definitely didn't contain enough variation. Joslin or Na-kel had it in my book.

Chris joslin is insane
kind of funny that they knock joslin for doing mostly stairs and gaps while over 70% of tricks in Cole's part were rails and all but one were grinds ... joslin did almost all stairs and gaps bu how is that different from doing almost all grinds? not to mention he did significantly more tricks including absolute nbd bangers at famous spots, no need for fancy editing when your tricks are this insane, the music was good and went well with his flow so thats perfect editing in my book. if anyone were going to rival joslin it should have been lemos with his unique style and variety of bangers... i was confused af after they announced joslin for 3 and lemos for 2

These judges are smoking crack.... Joslin blew it out and should have been first and then 2nd Tiago. Disappointing outcome from the judges but Joslin and Tiago are sooooo rad.

joslins editor was poo but his part was pure flames...
Tiago had the best part. Variety and clean tricks. Joslin had the next best, but no variety, and his tricks weren't as clean because the drops. Wilson probably had the worst part to me, all rails with no flip tricks in or out. Horrible decision.
they literally robbed joslin and im not even really on him like THAT he literally killed it... Tiago was an easy second so hey that triple kink was cool but jesus I don't know if anyone does like most of joslins tricks there
