I still think upgrading, extending and renovating the monorail lines would have been a wiser thing to do than the Skyliner. It just seems more Disney than a ski lift system.

I actually love the Mark-6 Monorails and the updates look VERY good. As long as they can make these current one's more reliable and update any mechanics that may be problamatic along with this refresh, I don't mind not having a new revised Monorail. They still look great and are icons of the parks.
I think that the new monorails will be made to last at least 30 years before repairs, and with upgrades closer to 40. Disney will NOT want these issues to continue.

The monorail would be very expensive to build, they would have to build the tracks, then they would have to build the stations, and buy more monorails. It wouldn’t work as Mark six monorails aren’t in production anymore. That’s why the bought the skyliner. An expansion for the monorail to go from Epcot to Disney Hollywood studios and animal kingdom would cost 10 billion+ dollars
A funny and cute nod to Illuminations in Guardians would be the big bang section of ACT 1 of the fireworks show used as a sound effect when you launch backwards in time!! Very guardians in humor.
disneyworld should have the same monorail like disneyland. Also they should keep the globe in illuminations if they want to bring it back as a surprise. Disneyland always surprise us with old fireworks and attractions. EPCOT should keep it as something to remember of the past.
I've always been curious, if you're evacuated from transpertation like the guests on the monorail via the roof or by fire truck like the current situation with the skyliner, what happens to your stuff? Like what if you have a stroller with you for your children? I've been in the parks numorus times with my stroller that cost me upwards of $500. That would be awful having to leave it behind not only due to the monitary value but also the stroller is my life line when it comes to transporting my children from point A to point B anywhere on Disney property, I don't want to even think about having to venture into the airport with out it. With that being said, I am so glad to hear no one was injured during the skyliner evactuation. Disney has done a great job ensuring we all stay safe in the parks. My little ones lives are far more important than anything else.
I'm sure if Disney couldn't get your stroller out immediately they would give you one of the park ones to use for the remainder of your stay. Then when they fixed the problem they would get the stroller back to you.
A big thank you for keeping your videos the 'same' since moving to Florida. Love all your news updates, another youtuber who used to do news videos moved to Florida and their videos have really gone downhill.

That monorail problem would have been a huge problem for us. My parents are getting older and there is no way my Mom could have evacuated a monorail like that. They both need those scooters now in the parks and when you think of the money they are putting in other international Disney Parks. I can't imagine that they don't have the early stages of a plan as to what to do with these monorails.

New York City Subways which goes through much more then the Monorail has a life span of 40-50+ years with a major Overhaul done about mid life, so there's no reason why the same can't be done here. For example the NYCT R32's came into service in 1964, was overhauled between 1988-1990 and are still going strong, 55 years later, though are due to be replaced in the next few years. That said, it would be great if they did replace them it would be something like the Mark 7's in Disneyland. Those look really cool!!

But like you said its not enough if they plan on having these ancient monorails running they need to be update mechanically to last at least another 5 to 10 years. Sadly i think there budget has gone to everything else goin on around the resorts and there just isnt enough bucks to give us new monorails. 😂
the elsa bus is definitely still hand drawn, but it may be from a different artist or team because the coloring style is a little different than the pandora one
I just came back from Walt Disney World. The bus wraps are "cute" but I personally don't like them as they are distracting from the inside. I also had the chance to ride on one of the Sky Riders to the Caribbean Beach Hotel as I was curious to see how the ride would be and the hotel, since I had stayed at it at one time a long long time ago. I was in a wrapped Sky Rider and again I have to say the wraps are distracting because one has a hard time being able to look out the windows unless you are looking out the door window, which was not wrapped. I was attempting to video for myself how the Sky Rider was riding and what it looked like. I was in a Nemo wrapped one and actually took a picture of Nemo from the inside. I would have preferred to have seen the outside without distractions. The Sky Rider ride was nice and because I have to ride on a scooter to get around I was wondering how it would work out. It was fine. I felt secure at the time. I was also hoping that Disney would get a new fleet of monorails. I really like to ride on them and did have the chance to do so a few time while I was there. I know the cast members have said that the kids like the wraps on the busses. The wraps are very nice from a picture point of view. I just figure money could be used on something a bit more useful since they are doing SO MUCH all over the place.
Honestly the skyliner seems very cool but I would have rather have new monorails. I know they don’t go to all the parks, but I still would liked to have seen new much needed monorails. I mean,, they break down quite often

In regards to the Monorail replacement, 10 years overdue. It's Replacement cost vs repair cost, do you want to chase good money after bad? RELIABLITY IS THE MAIN THING. To give you something to think about, The entire 136 car Miami Metrorail train fleet is now just finishing up its 3 year replacement of the original fleet. Thankfully, that 390 Million dollar upgrade of the 35 year old trains will make transportation on the 25 mile long Miami Metrorail more reliable. One of only 11 Heavy rail Mass transit systems in the US! Thus, Replacement made more sense. Disney is obviously kicking the can down the road with respect to the Monorail fleet replacement.
Oh no not again ! Disney is having troubles with their transport dystem. I am so happy that I was not on the Skyliner or Monorail that got stalled . I am so claustrophobic. I would have had a heart attack. Dosney should have their trams or buses as another way of transport running from the parking lot and transportation areas straight up to the Magic Kingdom especially for people with claustrophobia from enclosed enviroment that may keep you trapped for hours. Tjank you for keeping us all up to date with Disney's news

I do not get the hate for the monorails that are in place. Sure it can be new and super nice but they are a staple and very functional still. Just feel as if people are easily disgruntled about small things. Maybe just spoiled too.
To add to my comment I would like to point out how exciting new system changes would be but I rather have an old system to a bus or skyline. It is one of the coolest and most unique pieces of all in Disney.

Maybe the new monorail interior is foreshadowing or previewing what the new monorail cars will look like once they come into service.
