I always said that Virat gets slow from 40-50 but other than that, he used to still play t20s like how t20s should be played but since coming back to t20s through Afghanistan t20 series, he has played with "zero selfishness" and has done exactly what he was asked to do because since then, he has been taking as many risks as possible in powerplay striking at 160+ in powerplay, taking risks against spinners too in middle overs and most importantly is not slowing down at all between 40-50 and hitting sixes when he is on 40 or 43 so if people who have given him a tag of most selfish player think neutrally, they will realise that he is at his best in t20s currently skillwise as well as from "intent" point of view.

You will never see a tough call in Indian cricket ever again like saurav did with Laxman and dhoni did with sehwag and gambhir. The reason is toxic fans. Dheeraj was spot on that why rohit was given captaincy for t20 when he doesnt deserve to be in the squad and the example is for the world to see on whats happening in MI, a franchise took a tough call on a senior player and look what public did to that franchise. In india actually we mix the formats rohit is good in test n odis and bilateral T20s to some extent but he never performed in a single T20 wc
i think rohit total runs in 2022 wc was not even 100.
Same goes for Kl rahul also
For virat although he did scored runs everytime but what is happening as a overall scenario that no one around him is performing so eventually he had to anchor the innings also.
Like WC 2022 Virat fifty came in 40 balls which is too many balls for fifty.
