I was lucky enough to have met Mr Wada when he came to Brazil back in 2010. Whenever I listen to this, I remember that once in my lifetime I could hear his voice singing this without any microphone or background music. Just his amazing voice, live and acapella for a small audience of event staff. I still get chills from remembering that.
They all have soooo beautiful voices esppp kari(the younger sister of the protagonist) but maybe i am biased cuz kari is literally my favourite character from season 1 in my childhood
My childhood was a bleak one. I was poor, live in slums, but at least our family had a TV inherited from my granfather. It was the 90s, every sunday the TV would air this. They dub the song into indonesian. It brings me joy and warmth reminiscing about those times while hearing this song. My childhood was a harsh one, but still, I miss it. The innocence, as I enjoyed these shows for the first time. Adulthood turns out harsher than ever. Struggling for $150 a month just to survive, I wish I could stay as a kid, watching digimon through my old TV, no need to think for money, I could survive with no food for a week as a child, just give me a ps1, a TV airing these shows, and infinite time... maybe that'd be my heaven someday. Back to the day when innocence can keep me alive and well.

I kinda regret that I was never able to watch digimon when I was young. Never knew you could find digimon on the Internet. Heck, I never even had the knowledge to even use a phone or computers that time. I was so young that I didn't know anything that I soon forgot about this show. Man! So much time passed I never knew how much these characters have evolved. I'm literally crying right now. This is bringing me too much nostalgia.
I am 34 now digimon has been my favorite anime since i was been since i was starting 5th grade while I was about to take karate lessons while my sister was about to take botan lessons i still remember I had ran home every after school to watch digimon i still like watching digimon and I did my own drawings of digimon
I honestly underestimated the Power of Nostalgia. I am 27 now and this song reminds me of the mornings before School, where i would wake up a bit early to watch the re-runs of Adventure and 02 with my big Brother. looking back on it this song is like a gut punch down memory lane, for me and so many others. this all cast version from tri is just perfect, i hope someone who has kids shows them these Series and maybe they will love them just as much as we did.
It's impossible for me to listen to this song and not cry 😭😭 RIP Koji Wada you left such a significant mark in my life no matter how much I grow older I would never be able to forget you or this masterpiece.

My heart, it aches I miss this series so much I know adventure 2020s getting dubbed And I’m 14 But this was my childhood And there’s barely anywhere to watch it sadly
My uncle was the one who introduced my very first anime to me in 2006. He brought home the Blu-ray disc of most of the digimon series for me, those days when the only alternative is DVD to watch movies and stuff.. Ahh such nostalgic memories
Digimon was not really my number 1 favorite anime before but hearing this is so nostalgic. I realized that it's not the song that we miss, it's the memories behind those songs. Thank you so much for all the people behind this song.
Actually this song bring back my memories of childhood days. Time went too fast. Thank you for accompany my childhood days. Although the last movie digimon last kizuna made me cry.
Que buenos recuerdos!! Gracias Digimon por darme nuevamente fé, recordarme que la fe y el amor todo lo puede, me has sacado de la depresión y ahora sin duda se que tengo que hacer.❤️
I have always been remembering about Digimon from the DVDs I watched when I was young. I don't know what to feel now, had it been too fast for me to look back. With dreamy eyes. This would be a part of my memory if I continue to learn more about Digimon. So.. Rest in peace, Wada Koji, no matter which world that we would be living in the future. If our dreams say so, then we go without worries. I hope you went out without any worries in your mind, watch over these generations, your words and your feelings are in them. I truly did like Digimon, a lot.
It's incredible how hard it is to find the new versions of this song and its alternative editions, and the once I did find are so low quality that you can practically hear the difference.
Let's not mourn Kouji Wada, let's be happy of the great childhood he brought us! I'm sure he'd love it that way. When we too go to the great beyond, we can smile and thank him then.
Thank you Koji Wada for being part of my childhood and bringing me digimon songs with you. I feel so much nostalgia and sadness because I can never relive my childhood again.
you should watch! specially Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Adventure Tri. for me the best seasons and Last Evolution Kizuna, the last movie which closes the serie ^^
I just barely started watching tri after reconnecting to the series (my roommate and I binged Tamers during the holidays and he has several of the old video games) and the nostalgia trip from the first two episodes just reminded me so much of waking up every Saturday to watch the original runs for Adventure and Adventure 2 and it... It kinda feels like I went back in time to something I really enjoyed. Yeah, it's safe to say Digimon has left its mark on this old bird, and this song epitomizes that. I can't wait to finish watching tri and the final movie
Digimon Adventures was one of the first animes I saw before I even got properly into watching anime, although it was without the japanese openings amd endings and just the western OST. But once I got into anime I've rewatched both seasons of digimon adventure and the movies in japanese and really enjoyed the songs. I never really got into Frontier, Tamers and whatever other digimon versions there is, but when they announced Digimon Adventure Tri. I got incredibly excited and wasn't disappointed at all when it wasn't the childish version like the first and second season but a more mature version like the movies if not more. In my opinion that is lovely as it shows it's targetting audience really was the ones that grew up with the originals and not just to appeal for a new generation.
As soon as he started singing, it was like 'whoosh'; a rush of nostalgia and the realisation that my kid would not ever get to feel this song or the emotion behind it. Sad and happy at the same time.
I guess I'm not the weird one who cry after hearing this. Both the original and this version, but this version where the VA sing together just hits different. Braveheart also causes similar thing, but butterfly is just different
I will never forget this song. My childhood , my inspiration, my strength. I may now be almost 32 but i am grateful and have to thank Digimon and its creators for a wonderfull time.
Butterfly elicists many emotions for me. I also listen to it when i'm depressed, or happy, or energetic. It is always a good moment to listen to it, or Breave heart for that matter.
I can't describe the nostalgia I feel about this anime and it's only been 4 years since I watched it for the first time! I'm glad I did and became a part of the fandom before Digimon last evolution kizuna come out! Unfortunately I'm 16 now which means I only got less than 2 years before becoming adult and I regret many decisions for my life. I miss the elementary school years...😩
Bro imagine how it feels being over 20 XD Don't worry, you got more years ahead of you to make even more mistakes and fix them. Plus, there's another new Digimon series out right now called Digimon Ghost Game!
Hey, I'm on my late 20s and have a lot of regrets. Think of me as your future self, and use those years before you get to 20 to make sure you don't have regrets. You don't have to be the best, but always strive to become better than you were yesterday. That, will be your own evolution.
I just got my crest of friendship on an online shop and I listened to this song. It makes me cry so much. R.I.P. Wada Kouji. Additional. That guitar solo in the end is so well done.
dunno why i cry while listening to this childhood memory song, maybe life of an adult to harsh for me TT

Heck, I never even had the knowledge to even use a phone or computers that time. I was so young that I didn't know anything that I soon forgot about this show. Man! So much time passed I never knew how much these characters have evolved. I'm literally crying right now. This is bringing me too much nostalgia.
it is also on hulu
thanks for the reupload, never thought I'd hear it again
The fact that most people dont realise AiM voices Mimi shows how well she can sing “in character”
She has different seiyuu for Tri, Aim didn't voice mimi here
Waittt AiM there was actually Ai Maeda?
I thought she was dead lol
@@LaineMann it's koji wada who died already
@@anucktitan8850 I know
thank you for making me cry at least 6 time at year with this song
This is absolutely beautiful
Everytime i stumble upon this song while scrolling through CZcams, I always get goosebumps.

Dios que genios, este tema en si me hace llorar y me da una puntada al corazón y a mi infancia, son unos geeniiioooss sigan asi...
Thank You Very Much! When I first heard it, I wanted to cry. Each verse of the song, it reminded me of my childhood.
I thought only i get emotional to this and cry, but it looks like I'm not the only one! After all these years we are still here.
I just didn't realize that my tears just fell when all cast sing along
thank for priceless childhood memories
Tri might not have been the best, but this is my favorite version of Butter-fly. Makes me tear up every time.
The nostalgia hits hard!!!
Those songs are fused into my DNA, i cannot listen to them without having an emotional reaction
I am sure even those who haven’t watched the series would certainly feel the emotions coming from this song.
When they call each other dude the memories is flooding in aah what a wobderfull childhood
Every time this song sneaks into my feed I always get teary eyed.
It’s impossible for me to listen to this song without goosebumps throughout, every, single, time.
It's impossible for me to listen to this song and not cry 😭😭 RIP Koji Wada you left such a significant mark in my life no matter how much I grow older I would never be able to forget you or this masterpiece.
this is so good, i can't stop listening to this masterpiece!!!!!!
diagimon was such a huge part of my childhood, and means so fucking much to me. it was also how i met my best friend. i hold it so near and dear to my heart, and its really funny, because i didnt even grow up watching the sub, but just the emotional connection makes me want to cry. revisiting digmon and hearing this song is so fucking powerful. i grew up with digimon. i love it. i always have, and i always will.
Excuse me I need to just go let out the tears of nostalgia God I love this series!!!
My heart, it aches
I miss this series so much
I know adventure 2020s getting dubbed
And I’m 14
But this was my childhood
And there’s barely anywhere to watch it sadly
My uncle was the one who introduced my very first anime to me in 2006. He brought home the Blu-ray disc of most of the digimon series for me, those days when the only alternative is DVD to watch movies and stuff.. Ahh such nostalgic memories
Always nice to come back here every 6 months or so for a big cry ❤
This song hits differently now
Digimon was not really my number 1 favorite anime before but hearing this is so nostalgic.
I am always crying at the end when everybody is singing 😢 So much memories and an explosion of So many émotions
Let's not mourn Kouji Wada, let's be happy of the great childhood he brought us!
I'm sure he'd love it that way. When we too go to the great beyond, we can smile and thank him then.
32 ANOS E AINDA SINTO AQUELE ARREPIO AO OUVIR AS MUSICAS DE DIGIMON DENTRE MUITOS OUTROS ANIMES DA MINHA INFANCIA
Thank you Koji Wada for being part of my childhood and bringing me digimon songs with you. I feel so much nostalgia and sadness because I can never relive my childhood again.
times were simpler back then, digimon nostalgia hits good
This is so beautiful!!!!
I have never watched a single episode of digimon but I'm in love with this song.
you should watch! specially Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Adventure Tri. for me the best seasons and Last Evolution Kizuna, the last movie which closes the serie ^^
Shivers down my spine when everyone started singing- it's so so so good!
IM crying at the last part when all sing together
digimon will always have a special place in my heart
Im not crying, so much happines from this song. My whole childhood passes in these few minutes ❤❤❤❤
Every time I'm depressed, I'd listen to this song. It reminds me that even if with the broken wings, I'm sure that we can fly. Never lose hope bro 👊
Butterfly elicists many emotions for me. I also listen to it when i'm depressed, or happy, or energetic. It is always a good moment to listen to it, or Breave heart for that matter.
I...I'm not crying.
I AM NOT CRYING!
Koji's most known and played of all time, and his last digimon too.... may u rest in peace
2023 still listening to this thank you! Wada Koji
One of the best OST from One of the BEST anime's of all time.❤️
I can't describe the nostalgia I feel about this anime and it's only been 4 years since I watched it for the first time! I'm glad I did and became a part of the fandom before Digimon last evolution kizuna come out! Unfortunately I'm 16 now which means I only got less than 2 years before becoming adult and I regret many decisions for my life. I miss the elementary school years...😩
Chin up, little digidestined. It’ll all work out in the end.
Bro imagine how it feels being over 20 XD Don't worry, you got more years ahead of you to make even more mistakes and fix them. Plus, there's another new Digimon series out right now called Digimon Ghost Game!
But in kizuna taichi and Yamato lost their digimon at the age of 22 so don't worry you still have time
Hey, I'm on my late 20s and have a lot of regrets. Think of me as your future self, and use those years before you get to 20 to make sure you don't have regrets. You don't have to be the best, but always strive to become better than you were yesterday. That, will be your own evolution.
This one have cured my depression... Thank you very much
Where is the video of this recording?
Nostalgia. I remember watching this series in the weekend. 💗
Why did this song give me so much chills! The harmony was amazing!
I just got my crest of friendship on an online shop and I listened to this song. It makes me cry so much. R.I.P. Wada Kouji.
Additional. That guitar solo in the end is so well done.
