Everyone remembers the racecar, but we all forget a literal palm tree was playable as well. It was so wild you got amnesia just looking at it.

And a piece of meat i remember leaving the Saturn on for days on to get enough hour to unlock it and having to turn it on and off so many times that i was afraid it would stop working to unlock the other one 😂

You don’t give VF3 enough credit. It blew everybody’s minds graphics wise when it was released and even on DC it was one of the best looking games.
Agreed. VF3 is hugely under appreciated, and I think it will always be my favourite game in the series. Partly because it tried something different and partly because of the excellent memories I have of losing nights playing it with mates on the Dreamcast. I’d give anything for a HD remake, but it will never happen.

Personally, I found the lighting of the characters in VF3 horrifying at times and for best looking launch games on Dreamcast, Soul Calibur beat the ever loving hell out of it, and I'm comparing Dreamcast Soul Calibur to Model 3 VF3 even. Then again, I've always considered VF3 a bit of a black sheep and could never fully get into it, I much prefer VF2 and VF4:Evolution by comparison. But I will admit seeing VF3 in the arcades in 1996 wowed me completely, once again being shown a level of video game graphics I didn't think was possible at the time.
Fun fact: Virtua Fighter Kids was made to give AM2 devs expression practice for the making of Virtua Fighter 3

Sega needs to remake Fighters Megamix, but only focus on the Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers and Last Bronx characters. For those, who have never heard of Last Bronx, it was a weapons based fighting game involving street gangs.

Fighters Megamix is one of the greatest fighters of all time. It’s such a shame they’ve never been able to re-release it.
Hopefully emulators can give it a good HD facelift and smooth the graphics

Virtua Fighter 3 was the most graphically mindblowing game ever released (with respect to the time ofnits rekease). No other game has ever looked that good at release, including Crysis.

Fighters megamix the weirdest sega crossover ever
Fighters Megamix was the first fighting game i ever played... i used to unlock everything, then delete the save file then unlock everything over and over again must have put 200+ hours into that back in the day over the course of a few years. .....the soundtrack was awesome.
Virtua Fighter Kids should have been its own VF spinoff game series.
I remember years ago, MANY years ago, I saw versions of the VF Kids characters if they wore the outfits from Virtua Fighter 3. There was even Aoi as a 'kid'.
4:08 and it worked! When I was 4 or 5 years old, this was my favorite version of Virtua Fighter lol! I have always wanted to replay this game, but shortly after I turned 6 years old, our house was robbed and they took our Sega Saturn with VFK in it. I was devastated! I honestly think the title for this game should have been Virtua Figher Chibis instead of Kids, considering Shun and Lau.

Gotta love SEGA's efforts at branded marketing stunts. Released as a promotional tie in with 'Java Tea' in Japan, SEGA went full on with VF:Kids and used the Saturn VF2 engine to create this novelty of a fighter, releasing in Arcades on the ST-V board, showing it was targeting Saturn home release from the get go. Then there is the branded tie in in the Japanese release of Fighters Megamix with, lets say it together now, PEPSI MAN! Also, I get why Max would include Fighters Megamix considering the inclusion of VF characters, but it's fundamentally a Fighting Vipers game by virtue of it's gameplay differences and the engine it uses.
Not gonna lie if I had a top ten list of games with great graphics virtua fighter 3 would be on that list!
Fun fact: Shun Di's kid isn't actually a kid, he's just Shun Di's brother who has dwarfism.

All the Sonic the Fighters characters should be added to Smash or come back in some way. They were great designs.
It would be interesting if the chibi characters could use "cartoon attacks" just like on CAPCOM's Pocket Fighter Mini Mix or SNK's Gals Fighters (NeoGeo Pocket Color).

Fighters Megamix was better than VF3 on the Dreamcast or the arcade. Yeah, the backgrounds were better in VF3, and the resolution was higher- but the lighting, backgrounds and character models in Megamix were really good for the time, and it had all of the moves from VF3 plus a ton of characters, stages, and variety. By the time I played VF3 on the Dreamcast, it felt old hat, as good as it was. By the time I played VF3 in the arcade, I’d unlocked all of Megamix- I beat the arcade game on my first try, and never played it again.
Now I really want to play Megamix again!
VF3 and Fighters Megamix are quality games just for all the new experimental goofiness and attention to detail.

Virtua Fighter was the only game I had on my Sega Saturn for years. One time I had the chance to pick a game. I picked Virtua Fighter Kids.

The character designs in VF Kids are based on claw machine toys for the VF cast that were popular in Japan. Alongside that, the game seems to have been made so that arcades could buy cheaper VF2 cabinets, as Kids runs on the Saturn-based STV hardware while VF2 runs on the more expensive Model 2 hardware.
Aside the LOL moments of 10:49, 14:52, 16:26, and 18:15, there was also their reaction of Pai getting KOed by Aoi's slap grab during their VF3 segment.
