May isa pang mahalaghang hindi na-cover: data retention and endurance. SSDs wears out faster than HDDs, and data dementia is also worse faster on NAND-based solid-state devices especially when powered off for many months to years. So SSDs aren't designed for archival storage. However both have disadvantages: SSD is for data decay, HDD is for mechanical failure.

In my opinion, pantay lang ang HDD at SSD when it comes to pros and cons.
Tho SSDs are really better performance-wise because of their speed, pagiging compact and rugged, one aspect na pangit talaga dito is yung limited lifetime writes/terabytes written (TBW) nya. Whenever you reach the maximum writes of an SSD, magiging read-only nalang ito, meaning, maaccess and mababackup mo pa files mo pero di mo na sila maeedit and di ka na makakapag-write dito. Whenever you write (copying and pasting, downloading, rendering basta everything that involves writes) so much files dito, bumababa ang limited terabyte writes nito. So if araw-araw kang nagw-write ng files sa SSD mo tapos GB pa ang sizes nito (> 100GB ganon), chances are masisira ang SSD mo within 1 year, 2 years or less. You can monitor the health of an SSD using softwares like HD Sentinel and many more. If less than 50% nalang ang health nito, mahirap na, might as well buy a new one kasi di mo na rin mauutilize lahat ng space kasi most likely bawas na ang usable space nya. I had an SSD a while back, di naman ako sobrang magwrite dun pero bigla health nya 98% nalang in less than a year. So technically, pangit din ito for file storage lalo na if di marunong yung user sa pagmonitor ng kanyang SSD. Pang short term storage lang ito, which is tama ideal para sa mga professionals. Kapangitan din nito is yung price sa ngayon, imagine buying replacement SSD drives every two years dahil sira na tapos mahal pa.
HDD sucks at performance and ruggedness, but better sya when it comes to storage for long term and technically wala syang lifetime writes. Kaya sa mga servers, CCTV ginagamit ang HDD. kahit ilang beses kang magcopy at paste ng files sa hdd mo, siguradong matagal mababawasan ang health ng hdd mo. 3 years na ang laptop ko, up to now yung hdd nya is 100% health and performance, no bad sectors. So ayun, in my case, HDDs are great for long term storage takga.
Nabagsak laptop ko recently, months old lang sya, after a while, napansin kong nagsisira na ang HDD nya, so I replaced it with another HDD. So I really understand yung dilemma when it comes to HDDs pero HDD parin ang ginamit ko kasi I need it for long term storage and life.
All in all, tama yung sinabi dito na it boils down kung para saan mo gagamitin ito.
HDD - storage drive, nandito ang personal files, big files like movies, musics, and others, some games, etc. basta malalaki talaga
SSD - OS drive. Nandito ang softwares, some games, ayun.
Anyways, hoping na sana makatulong ito. Great video by the way. Keep it up.

SSD very important on OS fast booting time and loading application
for video editing you need extra ssd for media cache. you can save your project file on hdd
you need extra ssd too for rendering if you have good ram and gpu. (warning ssd have write life cycle)
file transfer speed? nope. hdd have speed limitation on read and write of files so there's no big difference. ssd to sdd yes make sure that you are using blue usb socket.
ssd is good for active file not for file storage like music movies back up files download picture installer etc. you can use it as a storage if you don't have budget problem.
when to use ssd? if you are using software that are constantly reading and writing files like professional software like video editing 3d software etc.
offline games it will decrease loading time
    online games with portal/door
any games that have a loading screen every time you transfer from map a to map b.

SSD's use what's called "NAND Flash" to store data. Also, you didn't mention that SSD's have limited write cycles. This means reading from them won''t wear them out much. But if you write to them heavily, you can kill a consumer-grade model if you're not careful.

    well your wrong.
first both of them can be easily broke even dropping the ssd can cause the chips inside to misalign making it broken.
for hdd, well even if you drop it, as long as the drive head is properly parked it should be safe, after all, all external hdd is rated for dropping.
now for data recovery. well, lets say both of them is broken, which one have high chance of recovery, well the answer is the HDD, since as you say there's disc inside where the data stored, all they have to do is put those disc on a donor drive and whoala, you can now pull those data out on the disc, compared to ssd, well once the chip is broken, the data is basically gone. this is why most NAS dont usually use SSD due to its durability (write tolerance of SSD is just too weak specially when doing resilvering or drive scrubbing)
so in terms of data security, backup is the best thing you can do. the only benefit of having a portable SSD is just the speed and compact size, everything else is basically the same thing as HDD when it comes to durability, well lets say that SSD is just more robust than HDD since it can survive several drops, but still its the same as HDD, your drop it multiple times, you basically break the chips inside, unfortunately the chip process on the NAND chips is really small that even a simple drop can make those really small transistors to break.

here is the the comparison for the 2 drives.
    for HDD..
    -Lifespan longer than SSD.
-Cost, yes you can afford to buy High storage Drives at lower cost of price unlike SSD.
-Speed not much slower than SSD.
    for SSD..
-Lifespan it can last upto 5 to 6 years maybe
-Cost as expected it has a high price even if its not 1 TB
-Speed, yes the speed is faster than HHD and goog for Gaming too because the loading is faster compared to HDD
