this is the most elaborate manual for an Eurorackcase I‘ve ever seen, with Doepfer or Pittsburgh I never got anything close to that. - kudos to Behringer
It does my nutting when people hate on product just based on the brand. It’s a fraction of what you pay for so much room powered. Great case for regular folk.

Sliding nuts can be a hassle, but one quickly learns little tricks to make things easier. My observations, so far: Mounting modules by only two opposite corners, where possible, reduces the number of sliding nuts needed per module with no grief (save the occasional, wretched not-quite-flat module.) I only have the Eurorack Go skiff, so the following may not apply here, but with it, I was able to temporarily remove one side panel and insert additional M3 nuts. I had only standard hex nuts, but they still work fine -- they just don't slide as smoothly as the stock square nuts. Distributing spares over the length of the rail will minimize headaches when you need to swap out one module for more smaller ones.

Thanks for showing the manual. I learned the angled part of the case is 4.4 inches high which means I could lay the Go case at the foot of my 6U Rackbrute and they'll fit together nicely.
I'm glad Behringer is doing synths and eurorack, especially since they're offering cases and the CP1A PSU. Those things don't need to be that expensive and a larger manufacturer is better equipped to provide those affordably. The barrier of entry is lowered and now people can focus on which modules to buy. There are lots of companies that have good & affordable modules so The Big B isn't "decimating" the market like a few doomsayers have claimed. Eurorack is pricey. If it becomes slightly less pricey, that's good for everyone.
Thanks for a detailed and in-depth review of this case. Until Behringer came out with this, I was also put off by the shere cost of cases. £220 for 280 HP seems like a good deal.
Really great in depth review. I have been looking at the Go case since it was mentioned but I was made aware of the depth issue being slightly shallower than the Moog cases I presently have. But looks like that might not be to much of a problem now with some consideration. Mind you I was looking to put their System 55 in it so should not be a problem. Thanks for this fantastic in depth review and look at the Go case.
Ahhh Mr Popes - you and me, both! I have made up my mind about this one and my first module will propbably be the 960 Sequencer to drive the Pro1 I aready have (but might get e Neutron or Modal D, as well...hmmmm). I am looking at getting it at the end of next month (December...) with the intention of adding a module a month from then on...seems like a workable plan, to me!

Glad you checked double, but on your -12V you have 1051mA. In the manual it says -12V zone a+b+c together 1A not each zone 1A! hope everything is doing well

The website states it has an "all-aluminum chassis".. what parts are aluminium? There seems to be quite some plastic too.

It's worth mentioning (for you and / or others) that I previously had a Tiptop Audio Uzeus power supply, and noise / interference was manageable for my concerns
Thank you. I'll likely try playing around with it tomorrow. I don't have any professional testing equipment so it will only be a basic ear test. I have owned a few Mantis cases, the Make Noise skiffs, an MLDR case, a large Doepfer case, and a few more and never personally had any noise issues with my power supplies, thankfully.

@@oldmanzero How did it go? I know my Behringer Xenyx 1202FX mixer and U-Phoria UMC-22 interface are both pretty noisy with high gain, although I have nothing else to compare them too. For all I know every mixer and interface have noise with high gain.
Nice review, I will get that one too, have all the space I need to start a modular synth setup at an affordable price.
Looks very interesting, for the price. I wonder if Behringer will think of making an equivalent to the Mantis at something like 104HP (?). This case is very big - as you've said.

The audio aspect confuses me. I just got one but now I plugged my neutron into it but now I have to use the audio output on the patch bay into speakers? I tried it with the same audio speakers I was using that plugged into the neutrons original jack on the mount. now it’s barely audible at full volume. What is the right way to amplify it? Do you need an output module? Or what’s a good amp to use? I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong
re: the comments about the nuts being M3 or M2.5, is that really not part of the Eurorack spec? Crazy if not.

Whoah, there's a piece of hardware you can use to switch cameras? I always thought this was done in post-production. Please tell me what these devices are called. :)
This device is a Blackmagic ATEM mini. It’s pretty new and out of stock often but great if it fits in your workflow.

that power copnsumptuion great tips on the zones, the go case should have like a lockable fucntions incase case get pushed to much and stant figure out lets fall down :D
What’s the website to verify the amps properly?
Manual: only one Model D per zone. Behringer Eurorack Go official CZcams video: two Model D’s, one Nuetron and 4 or five other modules.
There’s three zones so it doesn’t seem wrong that they have the 3 Behringer units in the case. Am I missing something?
Marc McClain There’s also other modules shown in that video along with the Model D’s and Nuetron. The way I read that caution on page 14 was three of those units would be the maximum the PS can handle and you can’t add any more modules.
NEO Digital: ModularGrid has the Model D at 580mA which would mean that two in the same zone would exceed the limits but one in a zone would still have headroom left to add other modules.

Marc McClain I understand that. I’m basing all this on page 14 of the manual. I was one of the first to get the Eurorack Go from Sweet Wallet Eater (AKA Sweetwater) and I immediately installed two Model D’s in the bottom half and 6 other modules in the top. Works great so far.

Do you think the mantis brackets will work with this case?
Absolutely not. The mantis brackets barely hold the mantis cases. It would not be safe to use the brackets, even if the drill holes matched up (which I don't think they do).
so what's the verdict on noise factor? get a chance to use the case yet?
Sorry. Wife is very pregnant and quarantine work has been hectic. I will hopefully be working with my case later this week but as I stated in another comment, I don’t have professional tools so it will be a personal perception test.
@@oldmanzero congrats man! I just become a father myself. No professional tools needed anyway, but great if you have any basic metering that comes with any DAW. Just want to know if the power supply imparts any audible interference so nothing scientific. Cheers!

I haven’t seen any yet but I’m not surprised as it’s a new case. I’d imagine Decksaver is going to release something eventually. I’m personally going to try to source a bag from something else that would fit it.

@@InternationalBassStation They also copyrighted or trademarked (don't remember which) one of Andrew Huang's friends' names so they couldn't use it for their own work, which by itself is super fucked up. That's why I always buy their stuff used. I love my Neutron, and I didn't have to support Behringer to get it. Yay for reverb.com!
I'm still glad they are lowering the financial barrier of entry for aspiring electronic music artists. It's the reason why I have a functional synth setup at all.
Theyre really not lol, If someone's in the market for a Moog System 55, the Behringer System 55 isn't going to change there mind. This just gets more people into modular and synths and hooks them in and grows the industry
so is apple and samsung and probably your goverment too lol
