- The Acolyte, also known as Star Wars: The Acolyte,[2][3] is an American science fiction television series created by Leslye Headland for the streaming service Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set at the end of the High Republic era before the events of the Skywalker Saga, and follows a Jedi investigation into a series of crimes.
Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Charlie Barnett, Dafne Keen, Rebecca Henderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Carrie-Anne Moss, Manny Jacinto, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, Margarita Levieva, Lauren Brady, and Leah Brady star in the series. Headland expressed interest in working on the Star Wars franchise by the end of 2019, and was developing a new series for Lucasfilm by April 2020. The title was announced that December. Filming took place in London and at Shinfield Studios in Berkshire from October 2022 to June 2023, with location filming in Wales and Portugal.
The Acolyte premiered on Disney+ on June 4, 2024, with its first two episodes. The following six episodes are being released weekly.  and also in this video I break down the good the bad. The setup is interesting. I just wish the plot was displayed with more urgency

I do like the show but I don’t love it. I think the acting is perfectly fine. I think the dialogue is a bit clumsy at times. Not a perfect show but I’m still having fun with it

This is a great show in my opinion. It’s definitely not a murder mystery though. There were a couple aspects of that but it isn’t what this show is at all. I think if you go into it thinking it’s a murder mystery you’ve missed the point and won’t enjoy it much. Because it won’t deliver on that aspect. It wasn’t written or advertised as that and won’t make sense to look at it that way. Master Sol is a delight of a character. The fights are fun. Great lightsaber fights. But more importantly the characters are engaging in general and I love that. This show to me is a character study of the Jedi and the dark side of the force. That’s what this show is.

Yeah this show really is not that great like you mentioned the dialogue and the acting are really bad and the story is just not that interesting they had a great episode with episode 5 then again the pacing is all over the place with episode 6 great review guys
Thank you for the comment. I’m glad that you found what I said insightful. And I personally think the reason why episode five was good was because of the action but the problem is it the writing and dialogue and the stories isn’t good. Why should we care?
