But for sniping/long range, it's clearly monarc or tmf...

Of course with three cannons, the characteristics in burst and dpm become much clearer, so the bof wins here. But the Problem at real fight is, you will never shoot so constantly to an enemy. Not only your opponent is moving and hiding, but also you want to use your other weapons on your ship, to max the damage points. So this test only emphasis the difference in cannon caracter! You can also do it with two basistys and four cannons, then it is even more clearer. But in real fight, usually after two bursts rockets and torps are ready. So also burst damage should be considered! I think dp3 would be a better scale for cannons than dpm!

@@eohq Yes, i even would say without time. Because yet by then with Bof50, usually something else is ready to fire (Ty89, 5C, Scalp...).
Even if you use Bof50 (4sec) and x51 (18sec) for example, it'll be 4,5 salvos (theoreticly), but then you also will have some GLaunchers or Torps.
So in real fight hardly much more than three bursts.
