Millennia is the new 4x strategy game made by C Prompt Games and published by Paradox Interactive. This game has been the topic of some controversy amongst strategy gamers as many believe it be another Civilization clone, the graphics are lacking for a game made in 2024 and the game lacks features that exist already in other 4x titles. I gave this game a go and the more I play it, the more I enjoy its unique features and gameplay. Join me on this play through where I play as the USA in an alternative history 4x styled game and become a Great Khan, an American Khan. This video includes comprehensive gameplay, pov and perspective of how this game plays out followed by a short honest review of the game, where I eventually rate the game out 10. I highlight the things that I like, the things I do not like, and ways this game is unique and different from other 4x titles. And in the end we ask the question that many strategy gamers ask about Millennia, is this just another Civilization Clone?

are you sure with that event it doesn't spawn barbarians for the ai as well? if that is a thing in multiplayer couldn't you just fuck over people who don't build a military by giving them a million barbarians?
@@Shadow-bk1im I think so, when I did it in another run, it did not spawn for enemies :(
@@AbsoluteHabibi I wish there was a good way to check but as far as I am aware there isn’t. Two more things firstly with the age of plague as far as I have seen the ai is terrible at managing their sanitation and will always trigger an age of plague without fail because of that. Secondly if you try to go for a tall playthrough I would recommend trying to be friendly with the ai if you can get a research treaty with them it actually gives a huge amount of research. Per person you have an agreement with it is about 20% of your research. If you manage to get an agreement with all 7 other players that should more then double your research output.
@@AbsoluteHabibi something I learned as well is that if unrest in a city gets too high they can break away and become an independent nation. You could settle a crap city somewhere let them break away and get a science treaty with them. I am not sure if it is as effective but if it is you could potentially cheese the science game.
Hey if you want to go for a science run you can get a lot of science by being friendly with other nations. You can do a science treaty with other nations and make an international space station with them in age 9 or 10 to get even more science. Additionally there is a culture tree that buffs science treaties. With these things combined in the late game even though I was science focused I was getting about 70% of my science from treaties with only 3 other nations.
Ahhhh, the ancient village of Chiraq, lead by Chief Keef.
Lisan Al Habib back with another upload, as it was written

I'm so happy dude. He randomises and gets Chicago as his first city. Illinois gang rise up.
I'm surprised nobody has commented on the Civ 3 soundtrack playing in the background. Excellent touch Habibi!
I also really like influence as a starting bonus, but for a couple of games now I've switched to culture in homeland and it is very strong, perfect for a tall build.
On first glance it doesn't look like much but the extra culture in stone/bronze age let's you put local reforms on your capital with barely any breaks.
This is so insanely good for snowballing that I can't play without it anymore.
loved watching this live, and the next video ( i wont spoil for youtube bros) was also a blast live, as always keep it up habibi and the editor did a really good job on this one
I have to redo the tall campaign :( they updated the game today and it bricked my save
kek and cope@@AbsoluteHabibi
Loving the more consistent uploads
Thank you, I was wondering how it really was and you answered my questions.
Thanks for doing a showcase for the game. I found it informative and fun, though the warfare path to victory is definitely the shortest
this game looks older than me and not from 2024
Yes 😊 I would like it , if you try to play on the hardest difficulty❤
you kinda look like a young zeno of citium
I’ll take that as a compliment, thank you
The only video on CZcams which is not exagerating hype on this game and actually showcase it, and it’s not even sponsored (?). I honestly thought it was a lame clone of Civ based on other youtubers’ videos.
Love this vid
My first impression of Millennia is way better than my first one of civ6, so that's a positive for me, but it still feels like an open beta. The first 3 DLCs are probably cut content that was unfinished by the time the game should be released, specially the lack of nuclear technology. Please make more gameplay videos though, I thirst for 4x content.
i don't know if the music is edited in or is it in game soundtrack
Definitely gotta see some harder difficulties or even better: multiplayer action
I'd like to see Habibi play Old World and compare it to Millennia. And give his honest opinion
Great idea, added to the list
stand up to national anthem of chiraq "love sosa" by chief keef
I never liked the civ unique bonuses firaxis introduced in later civ games.
I so much prefer choosing a civ for the names and controling the bonuses myself.
GOATbibi with consistent uploads?
My neighbor big brother used to play on crappy pc and use to loose and get triggered
Good times😊
I really hope they don’t nerf raiders. It’s powerful but can be hardcountered by a player with archers or Spartans.
I like the idea of chaos events. After all the game should have a mechanic to rule you in somehow if you go full warmonger which also works in MP. And nations which expanded really fast were not the most stable.
Do I like how the implemented it? Not really.
That’s exactly how I feel, I like the idea of chaos events but I don’t like that it’s basically a ‘do you have money’ check
Finnaly a game title that resembles Habbies age. :
I was so confused when u said there are no Arabs as you scrolled past Egypt until I actually realized that it was the old Egypt actually
2:17 Sweden tho
tbh 7.6 is quit good
I don't think you will give CIV6 10/10
I hope your next Millennia campaign will reach the last age
its sad that there is no Portugal and they put Brazil.. :(
No sponsorship. Wasn't it offered or were the terms not acceptable?
Don’t worry about it :)
All of the other nations get a sensible flag but china is stuck with a w, and the USA gets Somalia.
Tbh, the best part is McDonald’s
`We have no arabs and closest thing is Ottoman Empire` what did you say brother?
Out of all the nations in the game, ottomans is the closest but it’s not that close (but it’s the closest)…
'promo sm'
The game might be good, but I just dislike the way it looks. Graphics aren’t for me.
Pls pin
China has 5 stars on its flag but the US only has 1? This is outrageous, we have 10x the stars of China. Literally unplayable…
If this is not a clone of Civilization, 90% of this game have been intently designed to appeal to Civilization players...
I mean. To everyone who have eyes to see... It looks so much like Civ.
almost every 4x game looks like a civ game tho. And the min max mechanics I think appeal more to grand strategy players than civ players
@@AbsoluteHabibi Age of Wonder Planetfall or Dune Spice Wars are also 4x games I think and they are vastly different. I'll stick to my opinion that Humankind and Millenia both looks *very much* like Civ. I could add that the learning period for this game is basically non-existent for any civ player. You can basically import your knowledge from Civ to get good at Millenia..
@@Stephen64138 dune spice wars is an RTS with 4x mechanics. Age of wonder I agree. I should rephrase, semi historic based 4x games will look like some variation of Civ. Civ being the king of historic 4x, that’s reasonable take
26 views in 2 minutes the Lesbianese conquerer fell hard
You are being silly. Obviously this video would have less views as it’s not EU4. All you are doing is discouraging Habibi from doing variety content on this channel. I for one welcome other things that aren’t EU4 as I don’t even play the game anymore but still love Habibi
its so habibover
Hey bro I think original comment is poking fun lol
So joever
Jesus the graphics look awful
I address this in the review section
@@AbsoluteHabibi Yeah I agree that eu4 is my favorite game and I wouldn't have thousands of hours in that game if I particularly cared about graphics. However, these are REALLY bad and it seems like paradox have been quite cheap here. These look even worse than civ 4 in my opinion. Not a good omen for a 40 quid game.
naw bruh we want eu4 mp not this
Like it or not I’m going to be posting other games now beside EU4 (I’ll still be posting EU4)
@@AbsoluteHabibi fair enough, this video doesnt seem bad yet, its just that i look forward to every eu4 mp video 😁
@@AbsoluteHabibi Grow your channel, it's hard to get big off one game alone unless it's like wow or..... wow.... or maybe like.... ummm wow?
Lmao but joking aside you can only get so big on EU4 alone
Good luck habeebs
@@chickeningay I posted a eu4 mp video yesterday if you haven’t seen it yet!
@@AbsoluteHabibi already watched 😁
Habibi is now amerikhan
