WE went to Oak Island this past summer and man the house we stayed in had a canal behind it. The blue crabs were everywhere in the back yard. I caught several blue crabs while fishing back there haha. I love Surfside and Garden City beach too.
I love seafood but not big on Crabs. Still fun to go catch them like this though.
I have heard of that everglades seasoning. I got several CZcams buddies that use that.

We stayed at a house on the beach instead of the canal but we caught enough to eat still.
I had never used the everglades fish and chicken but i had used ole bay, to me the everglades fish and chicken blew the socks off old bay. Obviously we have see deermeat use it and thats why we tried it.
Thanks this was the second or 3rd video we made and the first i had made without Janey and so the content and editing is pretty novias but hopefully we can make a jam up video about it next year!

You should try steaming it versus boiling it. While you got it the steamer put old bay on the crabs or whatever seasoning you like. Least thats how we do it in Md, it makes a big difference. Either way looks good
Are the blue crabs so big and mean that they run off with the crab traps that you have to tie the traps up with a heavy rope to the pier?
Need some tips on crabbing I will be in surf side the last of June till the middle of August.
My sister lives in surf side .
Seen this when I was scrolling so I figure I would watch so hopefully spring comes a little quicker and we can eat some crabs too. 😁

We really like just fishing, hunting trapping stuff so this is something we usually do once a year on our family vacations and i really want to remake this video because the content could be portrayed better and the camera work would be better.
We rarely if ever buy crabs but they are soooo good!!!

What type of crab traps did you purchase?
I'm not an expert but I think the warmer the water the shallower they get. See if you can find a local who knows a little about crabbing and they can point you in the right direction....
i know you can go to the state park pier and we caught these at Sanford D Cox Community Park. A local gave us a tip on that spot.

@@anthonylewis9572 best of luck! Sorry i am not sure where they are in the waters right now. Call the state park and ask them if people have been catching a lot off the pier and if not ask if they have any tips.
How did crabbing go? yall get any?
@@southerncharlesfamily6089 Haven't went yet. Gonna go to Myrtle July 10. I guess I'm gonna try to go crabbing off one of the Piers.

You can eat crab however you want. Kind of like BBQ chicken lol
