    Looks very similar to what's in my polo 86. Doesn't look too much more advanced than the two stroke engines I'm comfortable working on. I'll give it a go - thanks for giving me the confidence.

    Hi the video was really helpful so I opened up my carb the second stage looked a bit rusty but when I rev it by hand the second stage opens like a charm however when I rev it from the inside the second stage opens by a millimeter... so hence I thought it was my cable but then again the cable is fresh and whenever I adjust it with circlips/retainer clips it over revs gradually when ever at a stop or in neutral please help I've lost all hope

      @diycustomssa6699 Před 2 lety

      Then if the pedal is not opening the butterfly fully then the cable should be the incorrect one. Have you put the 2 cables side by side to insure its the same length. Also taking note where all the stoppers are placed

    • @diycustomssa6699
      @diycustomssa6699 Před 2 lety

      Adjusting the circlip just eliminates slack to make sure its properly positioned. Its hard to diagnose without seeing the issue. Did you check if the throttle arm is fully rotated when the peddle is flat. (See if the arm can be turned further when the peddle is flat)

    • @diycustomssa6699
      @diycustomssa6699 Před rokem +1

      Its a simple process but not easy to explain in words. U basically blow into the fuel inlet of the carb, move the float so that it is parallel with the base. If the it doesnt close off when the float is in that position, you then need to remove the adjuster and bend it abit until you get the proper level
