About Godzilla vs Kong:

Correction: after watching the movie and carefully listening to it, it turns out the part that I mentioned is playing during the third round (when Godzilla biting Kong's arm and smashed it). The "charging" sound that we heard it's almost/barely not there because it's overwritten with the sounds of their fight... so yeah, there you have it

That part made me sad because I was Team Kong and Kong's motivation to fight Godzilla was because he kept on coming after him basically Kong was confronting a bully and lost, but at least he makes peace in the end
@@elharvey5032 Yeah it’s definitely a tragic loss and the movie knows it. It doesn’t treat it as a great victory, but rather a saddening defeat. Luckily Kong ends up saving Godzilla and showing him that he’s not a threat to him and shouldn’t be bullied around.

Godzilla literally went to Apex bases to find him, King Kong was going to Antarctica away from it all and Godzilla attacks him and tries to drown him and not to mention when Kong is in Hollow Earth Godzilla drills a whole destroying parts of Kong's temple and calls him out to a fight which King Kong does, Kong never wanted to take the title of King of the monsters but rather wanted to be left alone

I love both monsters, but I do definitely feel that Godzilla had the edge the entire time. Kong was the underdog lacking ranged abilities, experience and natural armour to defend himself who soon found himself fighting for his life against the titan who could outmatch him in almost every type of combat, up close, ranged, defence and sheer ferocity, and this track definitely communicates that.
Kong was so lucky that Godzilla stopped short of outright killing him, even though the wounds he sustained nearly finished the job if it weren't for the human character's intervention. I am glad he got the chance to beat a godzilla in the film thanks to his superpowered axe and his own combat moxy and bravery, and that from a certain point of view, both of them won.
Godzilla beat Kong almost effortlessly, but is beaten by Mechagodzilla, and has to be saved by Kong, who, albeit with the help of human assistance, is the one who heroically rises up, receives Godzilla's power-up and one-on-one, beats and cuts down and strikes the final blow on Mechagodzilla. It was truly magnificent and uplifting to behold to see the underdog of the fight have his moment of victory, and for both monsters to have their characters done justice.
Just saw the movie and it was epic as heck

Calling Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road and BvS) was a great choice. He always delivery fast-paced and intense soundtrack, great for epic battles and chases.
It fits perfectly with the tune of the movie!
Definitely one of my fav composers! I think he had a slight bit of ham zimmer’s touch too since he also composed BvS.

While I really liked what Holkenberg did with Kong's theme (especially how it managed to be both tender and epic at times), the score to the action sequences in GvK was just the same old loud repetitive percussion and horns I am so sick of now.
Really lacking in the originality and creativity Mcreary brought.
Bear Mcreary's score for KOTM was a bonafide masterpiece and a masterclass in thematic scoring.
What a pity they didn't bring him back.
