Yes
One Piece. I still love it in both English and Japanese. ❤️❤️❤️
I Absolutely always Love and Appreciate One Piece and Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball Z & Super and Toriko, Trigun and Trinity Blood, Canaan, My Hero Academia, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, Ninja Slayer from Animation, Fire Force, Naruto & Naruto Shippuden and Bleach, Sword Art Online, Yu Yu Hakusho, Psycho-Pass, Gintama, One-Punch Man, Demon Slayer, Blood+, Bungo Stray Dogs, Rurouni Kenshin, Akame ga Kill!, Cowboy Bebop, Shaman King and Fist of the North Star as one of My Most Favorite Badass Anime Shows Throughout the Years!
dragon ball z
Dragon ball is my favorite
Bebop definitely God tier in dub. Especially the iconic performance behind Steve's voice for Spike
even the creator prefers it in English
Steve has a great range in his vocals and even stepped into star wars with the animated series playing bit roles as clones and storm troopers.
Same with Samurai Champloo
Every Watanabe anime has a top tier dub
But it was for one season
15. Rest In Peace Billy Kametz. With roles like Naofumi, Galo from Promare and Dr. Takuto Maruki from Persona 5 Royal, he set all our souls ablaze.
Don’t forget the Crazy Diamond Josuke Higashikata. He shined on that performance. R.I.P Billy Kametz 💎🛡️👓
And Rui from Demon Slayer
I never even met the man, but im still heartbroken by his passing. His voice was so perfect for Naofumi, and was super talented in general imo. Aside from that, based on his twitch streams, he seems like such a nice, genuinely kind person.
And Ferdinand in Fire Emblem Three Houses
F
Steve Blum is the god of English anime dubs. Dude's in almost everything, and is always memorable.
Lord Darcia III from Wolf's Rain.
He should have been in much more I still have memories of him as Tom from Toonami as a kid
FYI, J. Michael Tatum is not Hughes. He was voiced by Sonny Strait. Tatum did the voice of Scar in Brotherhood.
To be fair, JMT plays a lot of glasses characters lmao. But yeah idk how you get that wrong. The cast list is easily Google-able.
WatchMojo are a very lazy channel at this point they constantly get facts wrong and even reuse audio from previous videos.
Poor Sonny Strait. The voice of Krillin, Maes Hughes, Usopp, etc miss named is rough
I'm sure Strait will forgive them if they let him show off pics of his daughter!
Vic Mignogna Didn't even get one mention
7:11 Rest in Peace Billy Kametz - the voice of Naofumi the Shield Hero
Wait, he fucking died?
@@christiansepulveda4339 He died at the age of 35 from Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Man that's tough to hear
Too Soon 🥺
@@TheWarmachine375 really? Holy shit man... That’s too soon, too damn soon and sad
It’s criminal that Ouran High School Host Club was not even mentioned here. The casting was phenomenal all throughout, even side and one-off characters.
Full metal alchemist is a staple in EVERYONES lives with anime. I agree that the voice actors you mentioned are fantastic and bring the show to life. But when you didn’t mention the star who really helped bring the show to life for the dub makes me sad 😢 Edward Elric’s voice actor, Vic Mignogna. Just like everyone who got to work on the show, they all dedicated their time and effort and everyone deserves recognition for the hard work they did.
Because this is [current year], and we can't ever consider questioning a MeToo allegation, even when it's clearly dubious at best and outright false at worst.
@@minervablake7573 I'm so sick of this I hate what's happened to Vic I hate this I hate it so much and those people who were supposed to be his friends betrayed him they deserve to lose their careers I can't stand them I used to look up to them not anymore it really breaks my heart you know it's not freaking fair! I hate this 4 years of this shit Quinton Flynn got to prove his innocence why can't Vic?
It's not. It's just what played on television in western society back then when you were growing up. Meanwhile, Japanese kids were mainstreaming something entirely different. You just weren't nerd enough to get into it. Most likely you didn't even have the foreign online Japanese friends to get the connects to be given a way to watch things that were exclusive to Japan at the time, or even know how to talk to them in the first place. YOUUUUUUUUU mainly grew up on that. I mainly grew up on other things that didn't even play in America... Being an anime fan & a gamer or a nerd is pretty trend now days. Nearly everyone will claim to be these things, but nearly everyone I meet is ill-experienced, because everytime I bring up an anime or video game or something, they don't even know wtf I'm talking about or they just pretend to know & lie to me Lol... People are mainstreamed af okay lol... While ya'll watching Demon Slayer & so on, I'm watching something people won't even catch on to until wayyyyy later lol... Stop following the trendline. It's cringy & you're missing out on A LOT of way more amazing material.

Zoids is better than Gundam.
Goku's voice will forever be the reason I cannot accept Dragon Ball Z subbed. Women playing young boys is one thing, but male characters with grown kids makes no damn sense.
Yuuyuu hakusho has a great dub
Samurai champloo should be on this list. Steve Blum did great as Mugan
Naruto and Black Clover both have amazing dubs as well.
I'm surprised Naruto did not make this list.
@@dreamguardian8320 Right? I always found the dub to be very fitting.
@@TheReveredNinjaextremely iconic voices.
I agree
I'm surprised My Hero Academia and Hetalia weren't on the list
An honorable mention should go to the BangZoom! dub of _Lupin the Third_ . Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar, Doug Erholtz, Michelle Ruff, and Lex Lang all have such electric chemistry and are the perfect English voices for such impactful characters.
Michelle brings the sexiness for Fujiko.
Richard Epcar is also amazing as Ansem in Kingdom Hearts except for the first one
Lupin was a better dub than 90% of these
Ghost Stories, that's the best English dub. It was so good that it changed the Japanese dub.
I entirely agree. The BangZoom! & Geneon/Pioneer cast is the best cast for Lupin The Third and all 6 actors (including a shout out to Dan Lodge as Zenigata from 2003-05) are perfect in thier roles and have covered quite a bit of Lupin media. Lupin The Third deserved to be on this list.
The dub for Monster, Cowboy Bebop, & Baccano are perfect examples on how to do a dub masterfully

@@Jaxvidstar I’m very salty about that
@@brodaforlife Very understandable and I am with you on there.
Yusuke Urameshi is the best dubbed shonen protagonist ever. No dub enhances the shonen protagonist more than this character
I'm surprised Kill La Kill didn't even get an honorable mention. That dub for that was really good. Erika Mendez especially nailed the voice acting for Ryuko Matoi.
Plus, for any Genshin gamers here, *Yelan's Eng VA previously voiced Ragyo Kiryuin.*
Yes Kill La Kill is one of my favorite anime's and the dub is amazing 😍 👍🏼❣️❣️🥰
Yep the dub was awesome. I also like the voices for Nonon Jakuzure and Mako Mankanshoku.
So incredible!

Let's not forget about Aggretsuko.
18:22 J. Michael Tatum didn't voice Hughes, he voiced Scar in Brotherhood
That's right. Sonny Strait voiced Hughes in both shows.
I yelled when I heard that. I adore Sonny Strait and was like umm…no!
Yeah I’ve been wondering why they said Tatum. Sonny voiced him in both versions… weird that a big channel like watch mojo would miss something like that
Steve Blum is by far one of my favorite English dub actors of all time. His role as Spike is probably my favorite role for him
I love the English Dubbed of my favorite ALL-TIME anime series, Brynhildr in the Darkness (2014). The English Dubbed of Brynhildr in the Darkness (2014) was nominated for two "Behind The Voice Actors Awards " in 2016.
Cowboy Bebop's dub is what made the anime so amazing! I love hearing Steve Blum's voice in any anime, but hearing him as Spike is what made me adore the character. Don;'t get me wrong, I love Hellsing Ultimate, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Trigun dub, but Cowboy Bebop is what got me into anime.
BLESS YOU for including MONSTER on this list, and so high on the list, too!! That dub doesn't get NEARLY the love and praise it deserves!
YEAH. I first checked, to be honest... To see, if Mojo INCLUDE it even. Seeing it 4th really made me smile. 🤷🏻♀️
I was very, VERY happy to see Hellsing Ultimate & Death Note on this list! Definitely some of the best dubs out there!
And of course Bebop came out on top, it’s truly the best, no question.
That being said, I feel like the dubs for Kill la Kill & Black Lagoon should’ve gotten an honorable mention, both are very solid.
The omission of Black Lagoon is criminal.😊
I always love the Fairy Tail dub, for the voice actors but also for the insane dialogue....that's a big reason for giving dubs a fighting chance, the dialogue can be incredibly hilarious at times ^_^
yes yes yes the cast is brilliant 👏
I love that one too
Plus the dub makes a lot of the stupid friendship messages sound less stupid. For example, the original sub literally said “don’t underestimate the power of friendship” they seriously approved of that. The dub however changed it to “friendship is what gives me power, it what fires me up” it still a little cheesy but actually tolerable compared to the Japanese version.
Yessir
I honestly like the English Dub of both anime series, Tokyo Ghoul and Tekken Bloodline. Most characters sounds fantastic, and I have no problem with each voice at all.
How could you mention Fullmetal Alchemist and all the voice actors involved but not mentioned the voice of the main lead that is the awesome Vic Mignogna?!
Cowboy Bebop truly deserves the number 1 spot here. A masterpiece of an anime.
Death Note was the first anime I ever watched. I always heard dub bashing so when I watched Death Note for the first time, and in dub, I was surprised that people bashed on dubs. But than I found out that Death Note is considered to be a really good dub and I can understand why. Ryuk’s and L’s voices in particular are so iconic in the English dub and I can’t picture any other voices for them.
Kill La Kill should def be an honorable mention at least
Johnny Yong Bosch played the Black Ranger in “Mighty Morphin”! :)
18:25 I suppose WatchMojo didn't have enough space in this video to talk about Vic Mignogna nailing his role as Edward Elric and Chris Sabat going All Might Ham as Major Alex Armstrong in Full Metal Alchemist OG and Brotherhood shows.
And that also includes Todd Haberkorn as Ling Yao too as well.
Oh they do, they just refuse to give Vic any credit because WatchMojo buys into all the KickVic nonsense.
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 of course they do ughhh
Imbeciles! Watch mojo too?! Ok that is so stupid to fall for that KickVic nonsense. Why did they listen to her lying facts about Vic. Now I’ll never continue watching this channel if there’s anything else to mention at least one.
Let's not forget not mentioning Laura Bailey as Lust.
@@mariposa_hime9594 yeah and Travis Willingham as well
Naruto's Dub deserved to be in top 5. The iconic lines of Pain and Madara still manages to give goosebumps
Every major characters' voices are super recognizable for anime and non anime fans
Oh ouch. I am going to assume you did not see or read the original. The absolutely horrible force catchphrases that they shoved in for no reason because it was not in the source material is reason alone that it should not be put on one of these lists.
@@darcieclements4880 guess what?
I watched it both dub & sub and also read those arcs in the Manga.
I know what I'm saying.
I really like naruto’s dub, well except for Naruto’s voice. And it’s hard for me to watch when the main character’s voice is painful to listen to. Still, I thinj you have a point with the rest of the cast. Pretty much everyone else is fantastic. Especially Yuri as Sasuke and Crispin as Itachi
Can we acknowledge the greatness that is the Highschool DxD dub and the Ghost Stories dub.
Not to mention Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
I think Phantom Blood (JoJo's) is easily one of the best dubbed anime season I've seen, not only because it's "how it would sound" because that part set in Englad, but also because of the great job of Johnny Yong Bosch as Jonathan and Patrick Seitz as Dio
Assassination Classroom, My Hero Academia, Soul Eater and Fairy Tail are some of my favourite dubs ever.
miss them cartoon network days waking up in the middle of the night to toonami anime .
How is Kaguya-sama: Love is War NOT HERE?! The English dub has some of the best and funniest voice-acting I've EVER SEEN. 🤣🤣
Exactly
“Step A, kissing
Step B, touching
and Step C is where you get the D”

I think I watched an episode when I was little!
Some of my favourite English dubbed Anime include Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist('03-'04), Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon(DiC version), Escaflowne and Ranma 1/2.
The dub of Cowboy Bebop is also amazing.

The dic/Cloverway dub is still awful no matter how nostalgic and iconic it is.
@@dwainsimmons3447 To me, the DiC dub and Cloverway dub are two separate entities. I grew up with the DiC dub and it's pure nostalgia! 😊 The Cloverway dub, on the other hand, changed TOO many things for my liking! 😑

Rest in Peace ❤️
Your lie in April deserved a spot. The nuance from the 3 Erica/kas and the 1 Erik behind Max M and with Kyle McCarley thrown in is just amazing, I still get blown away by how good it is, honestly.
Also, thus far, good enough for a spot after just 12 eps is the dub for my dress up darling-that one kept surprising me with the high level quality, particularly from Amalee.
Not mentioning Vic was a mistake. He made the show and is a fantastic voice actor.
He was also accused of sexual assault, and lost his case, but do you.
This what happens to the left when they bend the knee for the sake of so called "victims", reinforce canceled culture that only emboldens others to do so, & don't speak for their talent but only their character.
Glad I wasn't the only one to noticed that

What show?
InuYasha's English Dub was incredible. 🔥
*Richard Cox, David Kaye, Scott McNeil, Paul Dobson, Kirby Morrow, etc.* All the VA's were fantastic. (I'm especially a big fan David Kaye's performance as Sesshōmaru, that's probably David's 2nd best voice acting performance ever, with only Beast Wars Megatron being above at 1st place)
You only listed the guys. Among the girls Willow Johnson, Kelly Sheridan, and Moneca Stori were great, especially Willow as Kikyo.
Too bad about Kirby though, his role as Miroku will be missed.
@@whitewolf3051 Sorry, that's on me, I was hastily trying to think of names to put down and I wasn't able to remember any of the girls.
On a side note, I actually really enjoyed Willow Johnson as Kikyo. Wasn't too focused on it on first watch, but on re-watch I really loved her performance.
Rest in peace Kirby Morrow.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
And Cardcaptors and clear card was the better dub.
So agree with number 1,it's regarded as an anime dub classic by long time fans including myself,I never get tired of watching it or listening to it's soundtrack over and over again.
Hell yeah thanks watchmojo your awesome.
the original trigun is fantastic, the cast really stepped up and knocked it out the park
Fantastic list! You guys hit all my favorites. The only one I would add is “ the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya” our Kyon and Haruhi are actually preferred over the Japanese. Also it’s another anime that has Johnny Young Bosch.
Absolutely criminal that you didn't mention Vic Mignogna's performance as Edward Elric.
Exactly they so damn weak for that
Probably don’t want backlash after everything
Mentioned Rial and not Vic, well we know where WatchMojo sides on things.😡
Edward Elric is the thumbnail of this video, yet mentioning Vic is their Taboo
@@omariwalker1006 they changed the thumbnail to Cowboy Bebop

Screw the haters!! Except the JoJo dub which is rife with copyright changed names
@@OnePieceGuy55 ok
It's cool you guys mention FMA and FMA: BH actors and actresses BUT you forgot the big star of the series: Vic, the voice of Edward. He killed it with Ed's voice and he's awesome.
And Justin Roiland was the star of _Rick and Morty_ .
That was my only complaint. I hold a lot of respect for Ash, being one of the best Mojo Voices, but it was disappointing that he couldn't be objective here.
I was thinking the same thing. He stole the show.
Vic definitely was a big part of it too. Him and the other VA's in it did a real good job. Ash didn't even mention Lara Bailey as lust. This list has a lot of bias in it. Heck David Kaye did great as Sesshomaru in Inuyasha, and he didn't get a shout out either.
That’s cause Vic is a horrible person IRL and mentioning him anywhere is gonna cause his toxic neckbeard fans to defend him and say what he did was “nothing wrong”
I love all of your videos.
I would also give honorable mentions to the English dubs of My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, & Attack on Titan as well, more especially for Clifford Chapin bringing out the angry pomeranian personality of Bakugo, Bryce Papenbrook’s feral animal voice for Inosuke, & the cool, calm, & collected manner of Levi Ackerman from Matthew Mercer.
YES!!!
demon slayer eng dub cast is fantastic
MHA dub is phenomenal
I was going to say no love for MHA at all?
I’d add Black Lagoon to that list as well
Guess Kaguya-sama Love is war, Fairy Tail, Naruto, Kill la Kill, Devil is a Part Timer, and ect are honorable mentions.
Also how could they not even mention Vic Mignogna’s amazing performance as Edward Elric it’s actually really insulting that he was not mentioned at all and should have been regardless of all that false accusation controversy nonsense.

As one of the oddball dudes that watches majority of anime in subs, you definitely got a solid list here that i enjoyed in english. Yuyu was a top Tier for me, especially during the Dark Tournament arc. Bleach was so good that watching both in dub and sub were equal levels. It practically matched for me. Kudos for Outlaw Star, which to me needs more pub!! One you guys could've added was Yu Gi Oh. Some great voice work there with Kaiba, lil yugi and Yami alone! Bebop being number one for sooo many reasons, like you said, bringing lots of peeps to anime! Z was okay for me... the Ocean dub I loved more. Respect to Sean and the gang. I know Tons of people despises old lady Masako, but I'm one of weirdos that dig it 😆.
You got the voice actor for Maes Hughes wrong, it’s Sonny Strait
RIP Billy Kametz. Dr Maruki is my favorite role you ever played.
Wait, Royal just came out three years ago. When did his voice actor pass?
I rarely watch English dub anymore, but I do love Attack on Titan, Soul Eater, Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing Ultimate, Sailor Moon. Mostly old animes but there are a few I still enjoy nowadays being dubbed since there are some that are really good.
6:07 Alucard just wanted to go for a walk.
A very enthusiastic walk.
I can't help but hear the abridged voices whenever I see clips of that show. That should have earned it's own mention on this list too
See You Space Cowboy…
Finally, my dub homies get recognized. Its been so long since you've done a dub list, boy was it worth the wait.
Bleach and Inuyasha are among my favorites of all time and should have been higher on this list. Ashley said it best... the trifecta of Johnny Yong Bosch (Ichigo), Michelle Ruff (Rukia) and Stephanie Sheh (Orihime) absolutely rule with amazing spiritual energy. As far as the adventures in feudal Japan are concerned, Richard Cox (Inuyasha), Monica Story (Kagome) and Paul Dobson (Naraku and Myoga) are a fine trio in their own right.
But it makes perfect sense why two of my other favorites are ranked higher... Vic Mignona (Edward Elric) and Brad Swaile (Light Yagami) are simply iconic in all of anime history.
But of course, no one can deny the already Western-like appeal of Cowboy Bebop.
Bleach and Inuyasha in English are without a doubt wicked in their dubbed voices.
For the former, Johnny Yong Bosch moved on with many anime roles after leaving Power Rangers as Adam Park. The latter? Richard Ian Cox is a standout that gave Inuyasha a personality we came to know in the following years.
I agree bleach has a stellar va dub cast and inuyasha cast fit all their characters to a T
It’s just a shame Kagome’s voice actress is so grating
@@Gayredheadbitch94 Which voice actor? There were two English dub voices for Kagome. Moneca Stori and Kira Tozen.
Richard Ian Cox and the rest of the Ocean Vancouver crew are some of my favorite VA's. They always sound like they're having fun with their roles and Diana Gage is a great voice director.
Black Butler, Ouran High School Host Club, Sengoku Basara, Soul Eater, Hakuoki, Devil May Cry, the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Fruits Basket. I’m also very fond of the Ghost Stories dub, because while the voicework isn’t the bed, the VAs’ improvised script takes a bland series and turns it into comedy gold!
Of course you had to include Bleach, regardless the language, the anime rocks.
Sailor Moon: “Ahem, hey, aren't you forgetting someone? How about me? Aren't I good enough for you?”
The Viz dub is an honorable mention.
Finally, they brought in the Toonami Favorites.
Lol! Notice how they don't mention the voice actor of Edward Elric, pretty much the main character of Full Metal Alchemist.

It's really quite funny in an insane way.
@@Steele-Wool Dude admitted to touching kids in an affidavit from his ex-gf, thats a very solid reason for it. Also, Monica Rial is a good person, didn't send violent death threats, so you are lying.
Negima!? (2nd season) absolutely deserved a place on this list. That dub was excellent and is probably one of the very few animes where I actually enjoy listening to the dub. It was so funny and it really had a lot of proper passion in it. It wasn't just a translation like ADVision and Sentai do with not too much passionate work.
To this day, my favorite english anime dub has to be Steins; Gate, which I'm sad you guys didn't include here. I had heard great dubs before, but Steins; Gate was on another level. Between the top-tier script, excellent directing, and, of course, J Michael Tatum and Trina Nishimura's legendary performances in a show full of great ones, it is the dub that made me want to watch other dubs.
Also, you forgot some classics like Baccano!, Black Lagoon, Space Dandy, as well as some modern gems like Kaguya-Sama, Attack on Titan, My Dress up Darling, and Chainsaw Man, just to name a few. But good on you for including the Monster dub. It is criminally underrated, as is the show itself.
so agree with you on Steins; Gate & Space Dandy & Attack on Titan but then there is also Panty and Stock in which the Japaness company loved the English dub better I believe it was similar for Excel saga. Also as FYI J Michael Tatum did the english scripts for Steins; Gate and the most of the earlier season of Attack on Titan
I have always enjoyed performances done by Crispin Freeman. He was Zelgadis in Slayers, Alucard in Hellsing, and many more and its just so noticeable and nostalgic that I always enjoy hearing him show up in anime. That and David Hayter with his performance in Fushigi Yugi but that is only because I met him in person at a convention and he was hands down the nicest celebrity I have ever met.
Full metal Alchemist one of the best dubbed anime💯🔥❤️
If I have to pick one dub that I would consider my favorite, I’m gonna go with Fairy Tail because I felt some of the characters in the series sound better dubbed, particularly with Todd Haberkorn as Natsu Dragneel and Cherami Leigh as Lucy Heartfilia.
I'll just leave it here, "There is no such thing as Painless lesson, they just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary, you can't gain anything without loosing something first... Although if you can endure that pain, and walk away from it, you'll find that you now have a Heart strong enough to overcome any Obstacle... Yeah, A HEART MADE FULLMETAL" 🛐
The Devil is a Part Timer, Devil May Cry, Souleater, Azumanga Daioh, Cromartie High School, Spy x Family, Highschool of the Dead, Zombieland Saga, Schoolive, New Game, Excel Saga, and K-On are some of my favorite animes that have amazing English dub.
Billy Kametz…left too soon. RIP. ❤
The fact Ghost Stories isn’t on here is an actual crime
two of my fav are the full metal panic franchise they kept the same leads for all the seasons and that was like what 14 years or so, and the dub of baccano is also legendary
They could not even mention Vic Mignogna as Ed in the FMA Brotherhood slot. Let alone show a clip of Ed speaking. Very good list, a few surprises.
Here is an underrated anime for both english dub and sub(espically s3). Sonic X. That is one of my first anime taste beside pokemon. Damn what a show and anime
rest easy Kirby Morrow, he voiced Miroku from Inuyasha
i just asked for a best dub list a few days ago! nice :)
Well done mojo, but you have only scratched the surface with amazing dubs.
4:24 I hope we get to see Berserk anime reboot with the animation of Castlevania one day.
Agreed
Imagine the fighting scene. My God
Look, I get it that people are still uncomfortable discussing Vic Mignogna, but it’s SUPER awkward to dance around mentioning him when discussing Fullmetal Alchemist. It’s still possibly to objectively note his standout performance, especially since he’s the main character and anyone watching it will hear A LOT of him in both versions.
Yeah it’s very awkward… I get there’s controversy… but it’s still work that’s been done in the past, he’s a great voice actor in that show. Sad that they won’t even mention the performance
@JoeyJHarold even more sad that watch MOJO changed the thumbnail from FMA to Cowboy Bebop. People need to learn how to separate the work from the artist itself. You can still like the work and not the person or vice-versa. But today's world the crazies will go bat shit.
I judge Vic Mignogna on how good his voice acting is. He MAY be a disgusting creep in real life but he's a damn good voice actor.
Broly, anyone?
He is innocent! Monica lied. She falsely accused Vic Mignogna of assault and WILLINGLY is engaged to a convicted wife beater.
@@robynwolph3836 He is not a creep. Monica is. She bragged about her sex romps with her convicted wife beater fiancé on Twitter. She falsely accused Vic.
Love that you put big o on here. That show was great and wild as hell
It's about time you guys did Big O
Rurouni Kenshin had an amazing dub
yes!
Wow WatchMojo...You didn't want to mention Vic Mignogna is the voice actor for Edward Elric
Love seeing Outlaw Star and Big-O on here! Two of my favs!
speaking of honourable mentions, Rurouni Kenshin should also be in the mix. I grew up watching the english dub and even now the voice acting stands up as one of the greats
👏👏👏👏
My favorite one is actually the first anime I ever saw: Sonic X on 4Kids TV.
I might've missed Black Lagoon here. It is one of the few dubs I can stand and it is almost perfect in its tone of the source material. I am pleased to see Hellsing in here because Crispin Freeman sounded like he was having way too much fun in the role of Alucard.
You did not miss Black Lagoon. It did not even get an honorable mention.
Thank you for including yu yu Hakusho
I will say this as a honorable mention - VIZ Media of Sailor Moon original Anime series and the best one is the best re-dub ever. As well as the other version of Sailor Moon Crystal. The rest of the list here, is abosutely right. :D Love it!
Correct
Agreed on the Sailor Moon front, the S
VIZ dub for the original series sounds a lot better than the original (as humerous as it can be) & the reboot Crystal series continues the same energy. Great stuff.
As for the rest of the list...thrown on Lupin The Third in there and the rest can stay.
I think the whole dubb cast for the anime A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun, with Micha Solusod, is the best that I have heard in a long time. I love listening to the dub of the Fruits Basket reboot too. Also, if you want a dub treat, please give the anime Kakuriyo Bed and Breakfast for Spirits. The dubb cast is awesome.
yes love the voices in the both index and railgun, another one of my faves is full metal panic the kept the same leads through all the years it took for every season to come out thats dedication
Really interesting that WatchMojo uploaded both a 20 greatest list of American cartoons as well as 20 greatest dubbed anime on the same day.
There are plenty missing from the list; Baccano, Black Lagoon, Excel Saga, Fairy Tail, Romeo X Juliet, Kaguya-sama, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Panic, Space Dandy, Steins;Gate, Durarara, Konosuba, Lucky Star, K-on, Kakegurui, Chunibyou,Toradora, Madoka Magica and Kill La Kill.
Also, you're not mentioning that Mela Lee is THE voice of Rin Tohsaka in English?
With so many great dubs out there, it's hard to fit all of them into a Top 20 countdown, obviously. Reincarnates as a Slime is a current dub that I think is very well done. Fairy Tail has a pretty stellar cast as well. Also, while I can usually check out the subs of some anime, I just can't do Overlord's sub. Christopher Guerrero does such a great job as Ainz that I don't like hearing anybody else. Felecia Angelle is pretty good for Shalltear as well.
