  • Here are some of my thoughts on how best to use AUTOMATION in LOGIC PRO. the same theory applies to any DAW as you have control over these MIDI parameters too. Have a practice in your DAW of choice and I think you will be pleasantly surprised how much you can improve the basic sounds. Enjoy, Dex :)

Thank you so much for this, Dex! There are SO MANY videos during which the person doing the demo (often using Logic) will draw in the expression and modulation but never quickly say something like, "and for you beginners that's done like this" (something that would take all of an extra 20 seconds max), but give the newbie a leg up. Obviously I've not played enough with Logic, so I thoroughly appreciate this video. Geez! Cheers!

Always a pleasure... never a chore! I'm finding it really interesting going through all the 'little' things I take for granted... I suppose my training as a teacher has helped me spot those sorts of things and pop them into these short videos... It also means I've probably got about 5 years of videos to go! :)

@@DexWilliamsMusic Well these are the sorts of videos that will probably help grow your channel, so keep on creating. It feels like you have a good mix of topics for people to follow, whether dealing with Logic tips, composition tips, or how to play a particular song... they're all good subjects and enjoyable too. Cheers!
