- The Drop Carve has gone through a lot of changes over the years and we are very proud of the 2012 model. Two sizes, Double kick, snappy flex, light on weight but heavy on fun. Billy Bones and Dave Rudgers demonstrate that you can do anything on this board. Dillon's in there too!

holy shit, this board became so sick. Those kicks look beautiful
I've been ripping it up on a custom strapped Bustin Ibach, and man, this video stood out to me. The cinematography, riding, and interviews just really made it pop. Even though I'm not looking, damn is that on my ultra wish list.
They weren't kidding about this board being as strong as beans! :P my 2012 drop carve has taken several beatings. its even been entirely run over by a car! still rides like a champ. i love love love Landyachtz

learning to skate isn't easy for most people, but once you get the hang of riding around it's a ton of fun

Dominique D, when I got this board, it was the first step-up from my drop down, and the biggest thing you will have to get used to is how far it is off the ground. Another thing is exploring the possibilities with the new kick tails! Those are the biggest differences when adjusting from the nine-two-five. Hope this helped!

Personally I didn't notice a difference when I put bearing spacers on the board. And shock pads are pretty much a must if your going to drop the trucks through. HAPPY SHREDDING MY FRIEND!

Yeah, when i was 10 i used to skateboard but then i stopped. 5 years later and i was back skating, but on a longboard. And i had no problems.
I've been longboarding for a year and tought like 3-5 people how to longboard ;)

Already out, i was at a skate shop and the guy said the drop carve and the tomahawk were the best for my longboarding style and they were both for sale
i think its because you have more foot space with the longer board which will give you more stability but overall you can slide probly almost as well with the 37

This boards starts selling on August 6th, but if you want to know more you can only go to the landyachtz website ,,,it's nowhere else

Learn to control it.
"Loose trucks save lives".
That means practice on loose trucks and your ankles will learn stability much faster. Trust me, I learned to bomb on torsion trucks several years ago and it made me a super stable rider today. Remember, skill lives in the rider, not the gear.
@EvanWhomp you should of gotten the tomohawk its best of both worlds and its top mound so better cornering at speeds and easy to control slides

youre probably seeing the trucks. the board is drop through so the trucks come through the board and mount to the top
Oh yes you did get a reply!!! Bear 852 black or raw, zombie mini hawgs for freestyle/freeride or monster mini hawgs for cruising/faster speeds. bearings don't matter and you can fix bushings depending on your weight. Anything else your concerned about?

Okay, everyone hating on the tan tien, it's a freaking awesome board, you may not have so much concave and stuff, but it isn't ment as a freeride board or something, it's a freestyle board. Plus, it slides just fine, stop wining, if you can't do something it's probably you not the board.
I'm getting the 37" Drop Carve
I see that they put 76mm wheels on it, what's the biggest size wheels that fits this board without wheel bites?
apex 40 is topmounted, this is drop thru mounted, which means it will break into slide that little bit easier at lower speeds, it's also probably lighter than the apex 40 my friend has one, beautiful board but a bit on the heavy side.
Idk know what I want.. I like the dropped trucks but I also like the concave on the tomahawk..
i agree man< i own one< its a good campus or city cruiser but as far as freeriding its pretty down there, too short, too flexy... the dervish even kicks it outta the water but my landyatchz put the biggest smile on my face. ticklemypickle's definition of freeriding is going to the gas station to get soda lmao
I got it today and i rode it nonstop it is a fucking awesome board. I got the 37" because I wanted the lighter of the two and yea it is awesome. I recommend for anybody!

Cant decide between the Loaded Tan Tien or Landyachtz Dropcarve for my first freestyle deck! im now riding a Original pintail 40, does anybody have suggestions?!
i would say go with the drop carve unless youre going to be doing strictly freeride. the drop carve can freeride as well as just about everything else, so it will be a wiser investment unless you are really into freeride. if you are a major freerider, then get the wolfshark cuz its probably the one of the best freeride boards there is
