    Hello dear, thank you for your very good explanation in the videos, because of this I became national champion in the B cat with 90 on 100, 21, 22, 23 and 24, I missed the last disc 3 times and 1 time the first disc and ended this series on 24th, I won this competition by a shoot off after the 6th disc, thank you !!

    Good video with excellent advice. I live in France and shoot dtl here but it is slightly different to this inasmuch as it is in a different location each week hosted by the local hunting assn. My top tips would be after mounting the gun release a little pressure from the shoulder by just easing the gun away a tad. This allows more freedom of movement. Also when arriving at the shoot take time to watch the shooters before your turn to see where the clays are going as each shoot is set up differently. Here we shoot with 6-7 shooters standing right next to each other shoulder to shoulder almost. Also we only shoot ten clays and as such the pressure is on.

    Awesome as usual. I’m a beginner with my 12yo and love your videos.
    If I make it to the UK from Australia one day - I’m going to visit your shop and Liverpool to see the Beatles tour!
    Cheers

    0:05 - it's interesting how the muzzle flips DOWNWARDS unlike most guns. Just how much pitch do you have on that gun?

    I have watched nearly all of your videos. My question is,what does my shotgun on firing knock my headphone loose on my right side! I am right handed. I keep my cheek on the gun and my head straight ! WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP. Thank you

    • @twiki1963
      @twiki1963 Před rokem

      Could be the design of the headphones, could be the shape of your head, could be the mount of your gun, could be...
      Try in-ear hearing protection. Not foam plugs, but something like the Howard Leight AIRSoft Earplugs. They are soft silicone, have 3 flanges, and are cheap enough that losing any won't hurt.

    Interesting… yours is one of the few guns that seem to recoil downwards. Too much negative stock pitch, perhaps?

    David what chokes do you use for DTL shooting, this series is helping thank you also having a multi- choke gun for the first time I,m confusing myself shooting sporting clays and keep chopping and changeing the chokes which is making my scores suffer and making me dishearted. what do you recommend, I use Eley Amber 8s fibre my gun is Beretta Silver Pigeon 1.I have got 3/4,1/2 1/4 and cylinder external chokes. Thank you.

      I use quarter and half them ranges makes no difference, plus you want it quite opem

    • @TSCTheshootingchannel
      @TSCTheshootingchannel  Před 5 lety +2

      David generally uses 3/4 and Full for Trap, but says you don't need them that tight for DTL - he'd be happy shooting DTL with 1/4 and 1/2.

    Could you recommend a second hand under and over with a budget of a £1.000 for pigeon shooting and the odd driven day please

    • @TSCTheshootingchannel
      @TSCTheshootingchannel  Před 5 lety +1

      The main thing is the gun fits you and is in good working order; the make and model are secondary considerations. If you're within a reasonable distance, pop along to the Oxford Gun Co for some advice and to get an idea of what's available within your budget.

      Down the line. 5 people on a squad, each shoots 5 clays then moves "down the line" to the right. Then 5 more then "down the line" etc
